Pro Tip: Never Stop Learning - Join me as we explore a mindfulness exercise to plant the seeds of continuous education. For a lot of us, we may get to a point in our lives where we feel we are experts in our careers. By asking 3 questions: What interests me, does the training align with my WHY, and how much time can I allocate each year to training, we can continue to grow and learn. Allow this track to help motivate you to achieve your dreams through continued education.

Hello and welcome.

Today's pro tip is about learning.

Never stop learning.

So whether you're out walking,

Taking a short break,

Allow yourself to come into the body.

If you're sitting down or lying down,

Close your eyes.

If you're walking,

Take a deep breath.

Wherever this finds you,

Breathe deeply,

Coming into the body.

Insight comes first and foremost when we are present and living within our body.

So breathing deeply,

Relaxing the spine,

The face,

The hands,

The feet.

Learning if anything is tense and taking deep breaths to center ourselves.

So never stop learning.

This is one of my favorite pro tips because although many of us have been in our careers or our chosen field for decades,

The idea that we will always remain students is so powerful.

Once we take on the hat of an expert,

Sometimes we forget that there is still so much to learn.

So start with what interests you.

If you're not sure where to continue your education,

Start with what interests you.

It could be something that has to do with the current field that you're in or it could be a whole new topic.

Everything we learn can in some way be used to help our life,

Our career,

Our families,

To help us grow.

When you're trying to decide what to continue to learn or to start learning,

Ask yourself does it align with your why?

Why do you get up out of bed every day?

Why do you do what you do?

And will this class,

Seminar,

Retreat,

Will it align with your why?

Your mission statement,

Your brand,

Your purpose.

If your mind has wandered,

Come back to the body and the breath,

Recommitting to this mindful moment,

Planting seeds to never stop learning.

Breathing,

Settling,

Being open to new information.

The last tip is to set realistic goals surrounding your learning.

For instance,

If you're already extended beyond your limit,

Maybe you do one training or one class a year or every couple of years.

If you have a little bit more time,

Maybe it's a 60-minute seminar every quarter or maybe twice per year.

Whatever the cadence is for you,

Make sure it fits and you're not feeling even more overextended.

Allow this idea to be accepted through the eyes of a child.

Be excited about new learning,

New topics.

Maybe something as simple as picking up a book,

Reading something online,

Stepping into a library and going to the career section,

Education section,

Self-help section.

Continue to breathe deeply.

Allow your hands to be loose,

Unclench your feet.

Maybe roll your shoulders up,

Back and down,

Turning your head left and right,

Up and down.

Let's end our time together taking three deep breaths in.

Exhaling all your breath out,

Inhaling deeply through the nose,

Feeling your chest rise,

Your stomach expand.

Exhaling out all the waste products,

Anything that doesn't serve you,

Anything that's stuck.

Two more times,

Inhale deeply,

Exhale completely.

Allow this next inhale to fill up the top of the lungs,

The side of the lungs,

The back of the lungs.

Full 360 breathing and then exhale it all out.

Breathing naturally and normally for yourself,

Set one small little action step towards continuing your education.

What can you do today or tomorrow?

Maybe even just a conversation with a friend to help this little seed grow,

Writing it down,

Journaling.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Have some movement in your body.

Thank you so much for allowing me the precious gift of your time.

Until next time.
