Transcript
This is a guided meditation to help relax the mind,
Heal the brain.
It allows the mind to let go and rest deeply into the body,
And the brain to calm,
Slow down,
Rebalance.
Find a comfortable position to lie down.
You may want to place something underneath your knees and make sure that your head is cradled with a pillow.
Let's begin by following our breathing.
Don't do anything to change your breath yet.
Just notice it,
The movement of the inhalation coming in and through the body,
And in reverse the movement of the exhalation as it moves through the body and exits.
There's nothing you have to know right now.
There's nowhere you have to go.
There's nothing you have to do.
Simply follow your breath.
Begin without forcing and allow your breath to slowly deepen,
Deepening down into your abdomen.
And as your next inhalation comes,
Let it come on its own.
Feel it move through you,
Filling you.
And then simply follow your breath as you exhale.
Again,
Feeling the movement through your torso all the way through and out.
Now begin to let your body sink more into the ground.
The table,
The bed,
Or the sofa underneath you.
Your body letting go into the body of the earth.
Gradually slowing down,
Letting go of our thoughts and coming to our breath.
And now gently allow yourself to deepen into your inhalation as it comes in,
Extending it just a little bit further into fullness.
As if you were inflating a balloon just a little bit more.
Filling all the way up.
And allow the exhalations to come on their own and extend that exhalation just a little bit more all the way out.
Reextending into the stasis point,
Into the ground of your being.
Body deepening.
Breath moving,
Flowing.
Mind clearing.
Our whole self coming into being,
Coming into stillness.
Our body is like a river bed.
And our breath like the river.
And now with our next exhalation,
Following it all the way down through our legs,
Through our calves,
Ankles,
And out the bottoms of our feet.
Letting go completely in our feet.
Letting the inhalations to come on their own.
Effortless and natural,
Following the next exhalation all the way down through our pelvis and thighs.
Letting go through our sacrum and groin.
Our pelvis,
Our genitals,
Letting go,
Relaxing.
Dissolving into the ground underneath us.
Staying with our breathing as it moves through us,
We follow the next exhalation down and through our abdomen,
Our intestines,
Our internal organs,
Our sacrum.
Letting go in the bowels of our being,
Relaxing,
Balancing.
And allowing the in-breath of Kamino on its own,
Filling,
Rising,
Moving through our interior.
Now following our exhalation all the way out through our solar plexus,
Our mid-back,
Our diaphragm.
The center of our being,
Relaxing.
Letting go.
And now following the next exhalation all the way through and out,
Through our chest and our heart,
Our rib cage,
Our lungs,
Between our shoulder blades.
Relaxing,
Deepening.
Letting go,
Letting flow.
Feeling the movement of our breath,
Sensations in our body.
There's some feeling.
Now following the next exhalation down the sides of our neck,
Down our biceps and triceps,
Past our elbows and forearms,
Our wrists and palms and all the way out our fingertips.
Our entire arms,
Letting go,
Relaxing,
Sinking into the ground of our being,
Resting in stillness.
Allowing the next inhalation to move in and through us.
And now beginning to let go on the exhalation through our jaw and our throat,
Through our cheeks and our tongue and our lips,
Our mouth relaxing,
Our ears.
Letting go completely into the ground of our being,
Into our embodiment,
Into our breath.
Feeling the next inhalation up into our nostrils or sinuses and feeling the letting go,
The exhalation happening now deep behind our eyes,
In the center of our head.
Sinking through our forehead and our temples,
Through the crown of our head and the back at the occipital ridge.
Everything calming down,
Relaxing,
Deepening.
Letting go deep into the body.
And now if you like,
You can imagine hands,
Firm,
Soft,
Gentle,
Loving hands.
Perhaps the hands of someone you know,
Love or trust,
Gently sliding underneath your head,
Cradling your head.
The fingertips behind the occipital ridge or alongside the temples.
Feel exactly where you want those hands to hold you,
Cradle you.
Feel the warmth,
The sensation of those hands being present to you.
A gentle exchange,
Energetically feeding you,
Balancing you.
Filling your eyes,
Melting your thoughts,
Deepening your sense of safety and nurturance.
And if and when you feel ready,
Simply allow your breath to deepen slowly and gently into your head,
Into the hands cradling you.
And with each exhalation,
Allowing that to run all the way down your spine.
Letting go into your torso and legs and feet with each out-breath.
From this place,
It's as if your body was deeply rooted in the earth and yet also buoyant,
As if it could float.
Energy gently circulating,
Moving through,
Moving through your entire body.
The way a river flows through the riverbed.
Now allowing the next in-breath to come in on its own,
Filling you completely,
Effortlessly.
And on the next exhalation as it comes,
Letting go into the stillness and the silence.
Just keep letting go.
Into the silence,
The stillness,
The ground of your being.
Into wholeness.
Into wholeness.
Into wholeness.
Into wholeness.
Wholeness.
Staying deep within yourself now,
Bring your awareness to the next in-breath that comes.
Letting in the new life.
Letting in the healing possibility.
Feeling your trust in the world and in yourself.
Feeling your ability to embody wholeness.
Letting your body,
Your brain to heal naturally on its own.
On the next inhalation,
Deepening that breath,
Feeling your extremities,
Your fingertips,
Your toes,
Your tongue,
Your lips,
Your skin.
Your breath moves through you,
Feeling the aliveness of your bodily sensations.
Your ability to rest in yourself.
To restore yourself.
To come home to yourself.
You can allow your breath to make a sound if you like on the exhalation or to stretch through your limbs,
Through your feet,
Your hands,
Perhaps a yawn.
Taking the time you need now to come back towards activity or re-engagement with the life around you.
Honoring the deep recurrence moving through you.
Holding a moment of gratitude for the body's ability to heal,
To restore,
And to be whole again.
Take all the time you need now to transition back into your day.
Namaste.

Thank you so much for this meditation! This is exactly what I’ve been needing. I am recovering from a TBI and deep tissue injuries due to a motor vehicle accident with intractable migraines and body pain. This meditation helped to soothe that constant electric feeling in my brain and allowed me to finally relax. Thank you, I now feel as if healing is really possible. You have given me much needed hope.
