Welcome to this EFT tapping for removing blocks to decluttering.
Now decluttering might seem easy and it is,
It's not always simple because we can become emotionally attached to things and even though we might rationally think I don't need this thing anymore there will be something going on unconsciously that makes it hard for us to get rid of things that we don't need and perhaps things from the past that have got some kind of association even though we really know we should get rid of it.
And all that information that resistance is stored in the body.
In this tapping we're going to be using that to release some of that resistance to decluttering and clearing out things that we no longer need.
Now when we talk about decluttering we generally think about physical items but that can also mean,
Like especially in today's world,
Digital things as well.
So maybe you've got loads of apps on your phone,
Lots of emails that you've subscribed to that you never read and all that is creating clutter in your mind because every day those emails come through for example and you have to delete them or you're getting notifications every time you receive one and you've got apps on your phone and you're going through all these ones that you don't use to get to the one that you actually want.
But there might be when you go to do it you get distracted or there's some resistance to clearing those out.
I mean for example,
One example for me is like with emails unsubscribing.
I feel sometimes,
Especially if it's somebody I know,
I feel guilty about unsubscribing from their newsletter.
Why?
They don't care.
You know it's not a personal thing.
I'm not reading the emails anyway so they're not going to worry about me unsubscribing and if they do that's not my problem because it's not something that I need anymore.
We're going to tap to the along with me.
You can change any of my words to words that are more suited for you or you can listen and tap but I will leave a gap after each statement for you to repeat after me or replace with words that seem more relevant in you.
So we start with the karate chop point the side of our hand and just tap gently there.
Take a few deep breaths and bring to mind how it feels when you think about decluttering.
And feel that in your body.
Is there any resistance?
And how strong does that resistance feel on a scale of one to ten where one there's no resistance which is unlikely otherwise you wouldn't be doing this right up to ten.
And it's subjective just go with the number that feels right for you.
I'm breathing deeply and still tapping on the side of the hand and it doesn't matter which side you do it.
Even though I'm feeling all this resistance to decluttering I still completely love and accept myself.
Even though I'm feeling all this resistance in my body I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I've been procrastinating on the things that I should be doing things that taking up space I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Now tapping on the eyebrow point.
All this resistance.
Side of the eye.
Resistance to getting rid of stuff I no longer need.
Under the eye.
So much resistance in my body.
Under the nose.
I can really feel that tension right now.
Chin.
I know I don't need that stuff but I don't want to get rid of it.
But I have a sentimental attachment to that stuff.
I don't want to get rid of it.
Under the arm.
I want to keep hold of it because it's mine.
Top of the head.
Even though I feel stressed when I think about decluttering I still don't want to do it.
Eyebrow.
I'm feeling all this resistance moving through my body.
Side of the eye.
I don't want to get rid of that stuff.
Under the eye.
I've had it for years.
Little nose.
And there's things in there that I might need one day.
Even though there are books I've never read.
Eyebrow bone.
And other things that I bought that I've never used.
Under the arm.
I spent money on them and I might use them one day.
Top of the head.
Well that's what I tell myself but deep down I know I won't.
Eyebrow bone.
But I feel guilty because I spent the money so I should use them.
Side of the eye.
And then I feel guilt if I get rid of them because I wasted that money.
All that guilt and resistance that I feel in my body.
Under the nose.
I acknowledge that and I honour myself.
Chin.
I acknowledge and honour how I feel.
Fuller bone.
I know I've been procrastinating because it's scary.
Under the arm.
I also don't know where to start because there's just so much stuff.
Overhead.
And when I look at it all I just feel overwhelmed and then I don't do it.
Eyebrow.
But what if I just got rid of one thing today?
Side of the eye.
It only needs to be something small.
Under the eye.
Something that I no longer use.
Under the nose.
It could be a physical item or an unused app on my phone.
Chin.
Perhaps if I just got rid of that one thing and see how I feel afterwards.
Even thinking about it causes me a bit of stress.
Under the arm.
But I know I can do this.
Top of the head.
I can get rid of just one thing today.
Eyebrow.
Just one thing.
Side of the eye.
And then I'll feel a lot lighter.
Under the eye.
And every time I want to get rid of something.
Nose.
I can just tap through my feelings.
Chin.
So now I'm choosing to tap away any resistance that still remains in my body.
Collarbone.
Tapping away guilt for the things I bought and never used.
Under the arm.
Because somebody else might be able to use them.
Top of the head.
Just because I don't need them someone else might have a use for it.
Eyebrow.
And isn't that better than it taking up space in my cupboard or my drawer.
Somebody out there will appreciate it and love it.
Under the eye.
And then that will clear space in my head.
So now under the nose.
So now I'm just tapping away any more guilt that I feel.
Chin.
Any lasting resistance.
Collarbone.
Any resistance to getting rid of one thing today.
I'm tapping it away.
It's leaving my body now.
Letting go of the last traces of guilt and resistance that I'm feeling in my body.
Stop tapping and take some deep breaths.
And tune into your body now and notice how much resistance you're feeling now.
What on a number from one to ten and how that has shifted since before you did the tapping.
And if you feel that there's still resistance,
Still guilt,
Still other emotions that are stuck and the number could come down a bit more,
Go and do this again as often as you need to.
Because how this works on the acupressure points,
Eventually the resistance,
Anything that's stuck will be released.
And this is not just woo-woo.
It has the research now to back it up.
So good luck.
Go forth.
Declutter.
Clear space in your head,
In your physical environment,
On your phone,
On your computer,
And see how much better you feel.
Thank you for listening today.
And I'll be back again soon.
In the meantime,
Take care,
Go well,
And lots of love.
