A gentle, guided meditation where you will be directed to place your hands on certain areas of the body that connect to the starting points of the element meridians. Some time will be given to resting attention in these areas and other times will be for complete rest, no thinking, just stillness. This meditation is best experienced with no distractions.

Welcome to your meridian meditation around the five element wheel.

We will be connecting with and focusing on the starting points of the five yin meridians of water,

Wood,

Fire,

Earth and metal.

And we will also be connecting with our primary yang meridian.

Taking a nice inhalation,

Just sigh out,

Allowing the body to ground down while lifting up through the crown.

Just bringing all your attention inwards as we move through this meditation now.

Allow the body to sigh out,

Placing the left hand at the base of the spine.

Hold it here and take a few moments to really connect deeply with the base of your spine.

Without judgment just notice what's going on here and now breathe into this area,

Into your tailbone,

Into the sacrum and then the exhale and let that go.

Breathing in,

Letting that go.

Now just being still for a few moments as we honor the yang quality in our body,

In our life.

Exhale,

Relax the hand to the side,

Relax the body,

Relax the mind.

Taking the right thumb,

Placing it between the balls of the left foot.

Just noticing whatever is showing itself here right now and then let that go.

And let's breathe in to the starting point of our yin water frequency in our body.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

And let that focus go.

Just allowing yourself to be present with the frequency of water within you and around you.

Exhale and relax the hand to the side,

Taking your attention to your center.

Now taking two fingers from your left hand and placing them on the inside of the big toe on your right foot.

Become aware of what's happening in this area.

Now bringing attention simply to breathing in to the space.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

And just spending some time allowing the quality of wood,

Of growth,

Of expansion,

Of creativity.

Let that fill you and surround you.

Hmm,

Letting that go.

Now take your right thumb to your left palm,

Placing it on the muscle at the base of the palm in line with the little finger.

And just feel your attention moving deeply into that point.

Simply noticing.

And let the noticing go as you focus now on breathing in to that place.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Taking some time to mix and be nourished by warmth.

Warmth within and warmth in life around you.

And letting that focus go as you relax the hands to the side.

Now taking two fingers from your left hand and placing it on the outside of your right big toe.

All attention there,

Simply noticing,

Being aware.

What's going on there?

And now breathing into that area.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

And let the attention now move to a golden abundance on the earth that fills you that nourishes you.

Allow yourself to feel that.

To smell it.

Hear it.

And to have a life of its own.

Hmm.

Drop that focus.

Get the hands rest off the body now.

Taking your right thumb and placing it on the palm of your left hand on the big muscle at the base of the palm just below your thumb and in line with the index finger.

Just rest your thumb here as you simply notice.

Let's breathe into this area now.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

And moving the focus to all the details of life.

Giving thanks for the details one sees on a petal,

On a leaf,

In the sky in your plate of food.

The details in one's thoughts in one's body.

So much fine detail and now let that go.

Let that attention and focus go completely.

Allow your hands to move to the side.

Just sigh out.

Allowing stillness to be present.

And being present with the stillness.

A beautiful meditation to do anytime. I did it after a Live event, โ€œSlow Stretching Lungs and Large Intestineโ€. It was just magical. A great enhancement to do after any slow stretch live event. I will come back to this meditation again and again. Thank you, Helen!

Thank you for an amazing first time experience, Helen! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜Œ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป My reactions to Earth and Metal elements were immediate and powerful. Earth: when I put my fingers to my left toe, I immediately saw a large golden starburst behind my closed eyes before you talked about a gold/yellow light--this element brought a smile to my face and I felt an ease in body, mind and spirit, and a sense of truly being home. โœจ๐Ÿ˜Œโœจ Metal: I felt and saw in my mind's eye an immediate clearing of clutter of small black shapes that has veiled my awareness of the joy and appreciation of the details of what I should see in the every day of being. โœจ๐Ÿ˜Šโœจ I shall include this meditation, as part of my wellness toolkit. ๐Ÿ˜Š
