Welcome to this reading for the month of April 2025 from the I Ching.

A quick note about the I Ching.

Translated into English it means the Book of Changes and it is one of the most widely read and published books.

It is filled with wisdom from the Tao,

From Confucianism.

These wise teachings guide us to engage with our own inner wisdom.

I Ching readings are very much a participatory experience.

It is suggested that one become comfortable and settled when listening to and receiving such a reading.

Then you will be able to tap into,

Hear and receive your intuitive response most clearly.

If you would like to know more about the I Ching and its history,

Please take a listen to one of the previous I Ching readings here on this platform.

Being a kinesiologist,

I use frequency testing and this then ascertains the most appropriate hexagram for a month in relation to the world population.

So before we move into the hexagram for this month,

I invite you to just take a minute to settle,

To find a comfortable position if you're not in one already.

Just start to empty the mind and settle the breath,

Relax the body,

Letting the breath slow down,

Letting your muscles relax just a little bit more.

You might want to close your eyes and if that's not possible,

Just round down so that you feel yourself connecting with the earth.

And if you can please repeat with me,

I trust that the information that I'm about to receive is 100% for my highest good.

I trust that the information I'm about to receive is 100% for my highest good.

The hexagram connected to the month of April 2025 is number 29.

And the yin yang lines are as follows from the bottom up.

Yin,

Yang,

Yin.

That's the first trigram.

And the second trigram,

Yin,

Yang,

Yin.

So we have got water on top of water.

In between,

The nuclear trigrams consist of thunder and the mountain.

So just taking a moment to visualize,

Imagine in your mind's eye this deep,

Dark space of water.

This volume of water that seems to be never-ending.

How does that feel for you?

And we just want to evoke those first images,

Responses.

Because this awareness is from the depth of your subconscious and carries information in relation to this reading,

Making it personal for you.

If we look at the general interpretation of water in terms of the elements of the water,

The element of water,

This is all about depth,

Depth of thought,

Depth of reflection,

Of integration,

Depth of receiving,

Depth of communication.

The name of this hexagram is called the deep.

And some wise words from hexagram number 29,

Water flowing continuously on.

The wise man maintains constantly the virtue of his heart and the integrity of his conduct and practices the business of instruction.

If you remain virtuous,

Then you will not be swamped by danger.

So this hexagram invites for us to consider how we meet the depths of our being,

The depths of relationships,

The depths of life.

What type of effects do deep experiences have on you?

Do you try and escape it?

Do you just barely survive through it?

Do you know how to remain calm,

Steadfast,

True?

In the depth that can sometimes feel quite dark and overpowering and sometimes might contain hidden caves or unknown challenges that one has to move through.

How do you move through that?

How would you picture yourself,

Feel yourself,

Moving through perhaps unknown territory?

Would you be moving super fast?

Would you be intentionally calm and slow?

And of course there is no right or wrong.

Just allow your responses to come through naturally and observe that and allow that awareness then to continue its work within.

So a large focus of this message that's coming through here is about virtue.

The wise man maintains constant virtue,

Virtue of his heart and then that will follow through with integrity of one's conduct.

So let's turn to the Tao,

The Tao Te Ching,

Which is the wisdom that comes through the I Ching.

We're going to look at various verses that talk to this virtue that these deep waters are calling for us to connect with and remain true to.

So chapter 8 of the Tao Te Ching,

I'm just going to read the first part.

The greatest good is like water.

Water's virtue is that it benefits all creatures but contends with none.

It resides in places most men hate.

Thus it takes after the way.

This verse describes the nature of virtue akin to water and it suggests that true virtue is humble,

Supportive,

Non-competitive like water.

Take a moment to consider where you can apply this virtue to your life right now.

Perhaps it's needed,

Perhaps it's already been calling for you.

And if you are already applying this,

See if anything else comes through in support of these virtues.

Breathe in,

Exhale,

Let that go.

And as we empty the mind,

We're now going to move to chapter 10 of the Tao Te Ching.

And looking at the end of this verse,

It says,

Bring things to life and nurture them but have no thoughts of possession.

Act without relying on anything.

Bring things along but do not take charge.

This is the dark and mysterious virtue.

So this verse moves into the relationship between virtue and simplicity,

In a clarity and the ability to remain untainted by external influences.

What comes to mind for you when you hear this?

In relation to your life,

Your relationships,

Your current day experiences,

Just take a few moments to allow your inner awareness to rise to your conscious mind.

And let's let that go.

Focusing on the breath.

And we now move on to chapter 22.

I'm going to focus on the first section.

That which is twisted will remain whole.

That which bends will become straight.

That which is hollowed out like a melon will be filled to the brim.

That which is torn like cloth will be recut and made anew.

Having less you can receive.

Having more you become confused.

This verse connects virtue to the idea of embracing paradoxes and yielding to the natural flow of the way of life.

The universal laws of unfolding love.

And again just reflect on how this is talking to you.

What is its connection to your life at the moment?

Focusing on the breath now.

And just take some time to allow this wisdom to integrate for you in a way that is meaningful.

What is the first thing that you recall from this message?

And is there any part of your thinking,

Your actions,

Your life that you are feeling drawn to change,

To enhance,

Or maybe to maintain a specific virtue you are already upholding?

Set your intention now.

Getting your hands over your heart center.

You breathe in that intention.

And on the exhalation just allow that to move throughout all the cells of your being.

And perhaps you'd like to take this a step further and actually write down your intention.

In closing some more wise words from this hexagram number 29.

With patience and clear-sightedness you will arrive at a better situation.

You may be faced with great challenges.

But maintaining strength of heart and remaining true,

You will survive having learned valuable things.

Thank you for being here through this reading for the month of April with me.

And I wish you a time of great strength of heart and true commitment to those virtues that are important for you right now.

Until we meet again,

Do take care.
