The importance of time for yourself.

I see it every time over and over again in my retreats.

A retreat is basically retracting yourself from your daily life for a short period of time.

You step out of the daily hustle and take time for yourself.

First to physically calm down,

To relax your nervous system,

To start feeling that it is safe to relax.

It's safe to be just present.

That you don't have to run around,

Do all kinds of tasks,

For whatever reason.

Let's not go into that for now.

But first calm down your system and then take the space,

The time,

To reflect.

And after that start looking into what is the direction I want to go in for the next coming period.

And then the tools,

How to start approaching that and to integrate your knowledge into daily life.

But today I want to focus here on the need for your system to calm down.

The need for your system to calm down from basically fight or flight response,

Or freeze,

Depending on your default response.

And in this very busy world with all the pressure,

We just keep on going.

It makes sense.

It has been our survival mode for so long.

And our system thinks that we are safe if we keep on working hard,

If we keep on taking care of others,

If we keep on struggling to survive in whatever layer this works out.

At some point you can end up in a burnout.

At some point you completely ignore your own needs.

And if you retreat yourself from daily activities,

Whether it is every day 10 minutes,

Whether it is once a week for a couple of hours,

Whether it is once a year for a couple of days,

It gives your system a reset.

And this calming down is so beneficial for the body.

And it really calms down your nervous system if you are allowing yourself to feel,

To open up to what is there in a safe space.

And I see huge benefits,

But I also see,

Of course,

People when they arrive here,

Either in my private retreats or in my group retreats,

They are scared.

They are scared.

They have the courage to step up,

To sign up,

To book it,

To plan it,

To show up for themselves.

But they know that it is going to give a change,

First and foremost already,

To stop.

To stop,

To relax,

To breathe,

To take good care of yourself,

To be taken care of.

And if you do not know what exactly to expect,

You are out of your comfort zone.

And out of your comfort zone is always scary.

So I always say to people coming here that I respect them for having the courage to show up.

And the interesting thing is,

At the end they always say,

I should have done this earlier.

Or they say,

Everyone should do this.

The calming down of their nervous system is already giving such a huge relaxation.

And on top of that,

They give themselves time to reflect.

And in the setting I provide,

It is a huge purification setting.

It really releases all energies,

Programmations,

Everything that is holding you back and is ready to be released at that particular time.

And I am not doing anything to you.

I am not taking anything out of you.

I open up a safe space for you to calm down,

To remember your own ability to heal yourself,

To empower you,

To help you gain insights.

And I do this by sharing my experiences,

Opening the energetic space,

Guiding you in many different ways,

Whether it is in the energetic field,

Through the different sessions,

Whether it is physical,

In providing you clean food,

Very tasty food,

But healthy food.

Providing you a clean space,

In energetically as well,

No toxic influences,

Loving space where you can really explore from this safe haven.

And people calm down.

You see,

I always think I should have made a picture series from day one till the final day.

Of course I never do.

But you see the differences in people's eyes.

You see,

They give back to me that they feel so different.

And that is what I really would give to people in whatever circumstances you find yourself.

If you feel that your system needs to relax,

Then please feel whether a retreat might be something for you.

And I open a space for you,

But of course you can choose whatever feels right for you.

And a retreat can already be going to the beach for a weekend.

It can be short,

It can be half a day.

Retract yourself from your daily life and take some time for yourself.

That is so valuable and so needed in this world where there's so much pressure.
