Welcome to breathing into balance part two.

This meditation exercise will expand on the concepts that you worked with from breathing into balance part one.

Part one worked with finding a place of discomfort and then using your breath to honor that discomfort until ease was found.

When our body holds on to stress or trauma from an event,

That stress and trauma often gets isolated or located in a particular part of the body.

That isolation happens at a particular age or point in time.

And so the body will also store information from that particular age.

This exercise focuses on the age at which a difficult event may have happened for you and then guides you through a way of honoring everything that you're holding at that age in order to find more ease and balance within your system and being.

To begin,

Find a meditation pose that is comfortable for you.

Begin by noticing your breath.

Notice how it moves your awareness deep within.

Use your breath to locate a point of discomfort.

That space might have a challenging emotion associated with it,

One of fear,

Guilt,

Shame,

Unease.

Just notice.

Ask if that discomfort is connected to an age.

Does this aspect of you feel connected to your teenage self or maybe younger,

Maybe seven,

Maybe even younger?

Are you a toddler or infant?

Once you've identified the age,

You'll notice that age on the inhale and you'll notice all the qualities that are connected and that naturally arise when you breathe in all aspects connected to that age.

On the exhale,

You will say,

I love,

Accept,

And forgive myself unconditionally.

Inhale the age at which you felt the hurt.

Exhale,

I love,

Accept,

And forgive myself unconditionally.

Inhale the discomfort.

Exhale,

Love,

Forgiveness,

And acceptance.

Continue with this pattern until you find ease.
