Greetings.
I wanted to do a meditation for those times when you feel like you've lost your spark.
Maybe you just got out of a relationship,
Or maybe you're still in a relationship and you feel like you've kind of catered to their needs and likes and wants and let your own sit on the back burner.
Maybe you're at a changing place in life like a mother with kids that have grown or a father with kids that have grown.
Maybe they're teenagers and don't need as much anymore and you're kind of feeling like,
Well,
Who am I now?
What do I want?
Maybe you've done the candle meditation before.
This is similar to the candle meditation,
But it's about fanning that inner flame.
Sit down or lay down.
Just be comfortable.
Let your body relax.
Relax your jaw.
Relax your eyes,
Either closing them or taking a gentle soft gaze.
Think of relaxing your ears down towards your throat.
Relax the space between your eyes and even your scalp.
Think of softening and releasing.
From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Exhale out with the sigh.
Let's just see you here.
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale out the sigh.
Letting go.
Join me in picturing a dark room.
And you're sitting in the center of this dark room.
In the dark room,
There's a table in front of you.
And you notice this little spark.
This little spark turns into a little flame,
Like a little birthday candle,
As you take a deep breath in.
As you exhale,
That flame gets smaller.
As you inhale,
That flame gets larger.
Exhale smaller.
Inhale larger.
Continuing to breathe.
And look at this flame.
As the fire dances,
Orange and reds and yellows in front of you.
Think of this flame as your inner spark,
Your inner fire.
It's always there.
It just might shine brighter at some times than others.
And we can nurture that flame.
We can let it grow.
We can bring it in.
And today we're going to let that flame grow.
Next,
Deep inhale through the nose.
That flame gets larger.
And now the smaller becomes a little less and less with the exhales.
The flame goes larger and larger with the inhales.
And a little less smaller with the exhales.
Now you're beginning to feel the heat of this flame.
This flame is your you-ness.
Your uniqueness.
The fire within you.
And as the flame gets larger and larger,
You feel the warmth of the flame surround your body.
Until you feel one with the flame.
And your body contracts and expands with your breath as the flame dances.
Bringing your fire back to life.
Keep breathing in and out.
Keep thinking of that dancing warm orange and red and yellow flea.
As you answer these questions to yourself.
What makes you special?
What are some unique gifts you bring to the world?
What is one thing that's so you that the people who love you most,
Your friends,
Your family would say,
That's so him or that's so her?
How do you love someone different than anybody else does?
How is your smile different than anybody else's?
What are your unique gifts and talents that you have to share with the world?
Even if something doesn't come immediately to mind,
What is something they say?
I really,
I really love doing that.
I think I'm pretty good at that.
Or doing that helps me express myself.
Doing that helps me share love.
Now with your flame,
You're going to imagine the flame growing large as your room.
This beautiful glowing dancing flame that is your light,
You're shining.
Growing large as your house.
Warm and bright as sunshine shine that flame to all the members that live in your house.
This is me.
Here I am.
The flame grows large as your neighborhood or your community.
This is me shining for the world to see.
The flame,
The flame fire dances up into the sky and shines towards your city,
Shines down your streets.
This is me.
This is what I'm here for.
I'm back.
Your flame rises up in the sky and it shows the world this is me.
I am.
Feel surrounded.
Feel health in this warm sunshine flame.
This is you.
Feel your ferocity.
Own your light.
Own your sparkle.
Own your you-ness.
Nobody else is like you.
Take another deep breath in,
Send those rays out as far as they can possibly expand.
And on exhale,
Start to bring it back in.
Continue deep breaths in and out as you inhale,
The flame grows.
As you exhale,
It comes back towards you.
This time the flame getting smaller and smaller with each exhale.
Still dancing.
Still shining.
Keep breathing in and out.
Working with that flame until it comes back to your heart center.
Here you are.
You've been here all along.
Hold that flame in your heart center.
Hold your fire.
Hold your light.
Let yourself sparkle and shine from the inside out.
Bring a big smile to that beautiful face.
You are everything you need to be.
It's already there inside you.
You just have to soak the fire every once in a while.
It's like a beautiful campfire.
You have to add wood to fan the flames.
You have to add oxygen.
You have to stir around those embers.
And you do that with self-love and self-care.
Nurturing yourself.
Taking care of yourself.
Taking time for yourself.
And shine your flame brighter to everyone else if you tend to it at the root.
Where those embers are.
And those logs are.
And the oxygen comes underneath and fans the flame.
Thank you so much for spending time with me.
Go out and shine your light brighter than you ever have.
Namaste.
The light and flame and power inside of me honors,
Respects,
And loves the light,
The flame,
The power inside of you.
