Hello,
My name's Heather,
Welcome to this sleep meditation for self-love and healing heartbreak.
Heartbreak is one of the most difficult experiences we go through here on earth.
The reason it's so hard is because it's a form of grief,
You're grieving the loss of something,
And just like with any form of grief,
There are no rules,
No expectations to have of yourself,
No way this should or shouldn't go.
So if any emotions should come up as you listen to this recording,
Please just allow them to be there.
If you do cry,
Remember that tears are always healing and releasing,
Your body letting go in preparation for your mind and heart to do the same.
So please don't resist anything at all.
Letting go is a good thing.
I'm going to help you to reframe the idea of heartbreak,
To see it for what it truly is,
But before we get onto that,
I just want you to know that this is a space in which my intention is for you to feel held,
To feel seen,
By me but most importantly by you.
You can witness your own pain and choose to allow it,
Choose to love yourself through it,
And by being here today and listening to this,
You're already doing that,
So thank you,
I'm honoured and grateful to be with you today.
This meditation has been designed to guide you down into a deep state of emotional,
Mental and physical relaxation,
To invite deep healing sleep,
So please only listen when you're ready to sleep and it is safe to do so.
We'll start with some deep relaxation techniques,
Then we'll do a visualisation to help heal your heart energetically and we'll end with a series of powerful affirmations to help support you through this time.
Don't worry if you're already asleep when the affirmations start,
Your subconscious mind is always listening and absorbing information,
Even when you're sleeping deeply,
So you will still receive the benefits.
Affirmations work by gently reprogramming the subconscious mind through repetition and neuroscience tells us that on average it takes 21 days of listening to the same affirmations to create new neural pathways in the brain,
So for this to help you in the best possible way it's great to listen every night for 21 days.
So I invite you to just settle in and get as comfortable as you possibly can,
Ready for relaxation and sleep.
You don't need to try to sleep,
You don't need to try to do anything at all right now,
You can just rest,
Allowing my words to wash over you and you are free to drift off to sleep at any time.
If at any moment you want to change your position to make yourself even more comfortable please do so,
This is your time and you are always in control.
In a moment I'm going to invite you to roll your eyes right up,
As if you were looking up towards your own eyebrows or up at your third eye chakra and we'll take three deep cleansing breaths together,
The reason we do this is because it's been scientifically proven that this action of rolling the eyes right up creates little bursts of alpha waves in the brain which helps us to feel calmer,
More relaxed and inwardly focused.
You may not find this action that comfortable but we're only going to do this for three breaths then we'll relax the eyes completely and gently close them.
If you should happen to find this too uncomfortable of course please don't do it,
You can follow the rest of the meditation without this action if you prefer and you can still do the three deep breaths with us.
So if you want to go ahead now and just roll your eyes right up as if you were looking up at your own eyebrows,
Keep your chin down and relaxed we're just moving the eyes,
Take a long slow deep breath in and breathe out slowly,
We're going to do that again keeping your eyes rolled up take a second deep breath in and breathe out and one last time with your eyes right up and every time you blink you're drifting deeper into relaxation take a deep breath in and breathe out that's perfect and now just let your eyes drift closed,
Float closed let your eyes relax completely and you're already feeling more and more relaxed you're doing so well.
Now just drop your chin slightly almost as if you were looking over a balcony or down a flight of steps,
I want you to imagine that there are 10 steps descending in front of you and these steps lead down to a beautiful place where you feel completely relaxed,
Very peaceful and safe,
This could be a real place you visited or somewhere completely imagined it could be a beach,
A garden,
A cozy room,
Absolutely anywhere you would love to be I'm going to guide you down the steps and you'll go deeper and deeper into a very pleasant deep state of relaxation,
You are completely safe and always in control you are free to bring yourself easily back to full consciousness at any time if you should want or need to so imagine now that you are moving on to step 10 as you begin to feel more and more relaxed you can see your feet,
Hear your feet and even feel your feet moving on to step 9 as you go deeper into relaxation you're moving on to step 8 going deeper into this awareness of yourself with every breath you're taking step 7 feeling more and more relaxed as you focus on the sound of my voice you're taking step 6 going deeper into this calm peaceful state of awareness and connection with yourself you're taking step 5 you are already halfway down and when you reach the bottom you'll be at least twice as relaxed as you are already you're taking step 4 as every muscle every nerve lets loose and you go deeper you're taking step 3 and maybe you notice your arms and legs are starting to feel just a little heavier now you're taking step 2 going deeper into relaxation you're taking step 1 just go deeper sink deeper drift deeper and deeper into this connection with yourself with your own inner peace that's perfect you're doing so well and now that you're in this deep state of relaxation i wonder if you can just bring your attention to your hands see if you can feel your hands any sensations you may notice can you sense the energy of your hands space around your hands and remember there's no right or wrong way to experience this we're just gently guiding our awareness to the hands and noticing how about your feet can you feel your feet the space around your feet do you notice any tingling or numbness just notice how your feet feel in bringing our attention to our hands and feet in this way we're increasing our capacity for awareness connecting more and more with our bodies and coming into a mindful relaxed state where the magic of deep peaceful sleep can find us and in this deeply relaxed state perhaps even drifting off to sleep already your subconscious mind is wide open to new ideas and suggestions that it recognizes as being for your highest good we talk about heartbreak and whilst that can be a helpful label to communicate our experience i'd like to invite you to be open to the idea that what we call heartbreak is actually proof that your heart is not broken at all it is working perfectly your heart could never be truly broken your heart is hurting yes i know how much it can hurt and it's okay to feel that you don't need to fix anything you don't need to change anything you don't need to get over it and move on not until you're ready and one day you will be ready all you need to do for now is allow yourself to feel you're not numb and that is wonderful news you are very much alive feeling acutely perhaps right now the depths of your humanness your capacity to experience everything your heart was made to feel this deeply this is what you came here for to feel it all and i know the pain can feel overwhelming at times but you are safe to feel it the way out of the pain is through it it's so easy these days so tempting to avoid the pain to run away from difficult feelings to distract ourselves with the multitude of possible distractions be that work,
A new lover alcohol,
Video games,
Anything at all that can temporarily numb the pain for us and whilst these things may provide some temporary relief from the pain they are all just avoidance strategies that never serve us in the long term we don't want to dwell on the pain by rehashing the past in our minds but we do want to process the pain to bring our gentle kind awareness to it to witness it and love and nurture ourselves through it offering the same love and compassion to ourselves that we would offer to a friend or a loved one who was experiencing this what if this experience of your heart hurting deeply was not your heart breaking but your heart cracking open ready for something new to enter what if it were an invitation to love yourself more deeply to honor and nurture yourself with the kindness and compassion you both deserve and seek as Rumi said so beautifully the wound is the place where the light enters you the love you felt is not lost,
Love is the very fabric of your soul it's the stuff you're made of,
You cannot truly lose love,
You are love with your next in-breath i invite you to imagine as you inhale that you're breathing in a golden healing light that begins to flow through your whole body this warm soft light is soothing and nurturing and as it moves through your body it fills every one of your cells with pure healing love bring your attention gently to your heart space and imagine this golden light infusing your heart with healing energy as you continue to breathe in the healing light you begin to see it creating a vortex of emerald green light just above your heart space spinning in the center of your chest in a clockwise direction this green spinning vortex grows stronger and brighter drawing in more and more of the healing light this life force energy and as the vortex grows brighter it helps your heart to open to feel deeply just like our hearts are meant to and you are free now to release anything that is weighing your heart down in this space of loving awareness breathing out any heaviness,
Any pain,
Breathing out any resentments anger,
Any sadness with each exhale and with each conscious inhale breathing in love light,
Breathing in forgiveness and compassion,
Breathing in healing and peace I'll begin repeating the affirmations now and you can just allow the words to wash over you and you can drift off to sleep at any time knowing that your subconscious mind is always listening whilst we can't control the actions and choices of others we can always control the way we choose to respond to any situation you are in control of your experience and you're choosing to respond to this situation with love,
Patience and kindness for yourself change is a normal part of life and it's normal to find transition and change challenging your feelings matter,
You matter,
All of your emotions are sacred and allowed it's safe to feel deeply,
It's safe to let go,
Letting go is a good thing all the love you felt is yours to keep and you can feel grateful for that grateful for the experience,
For the learning,
You are only letting go of the hurt releasing all past pain by allowing yourself to feel fully,
Releasing is a good thing maybe you don't need to be strong right now,
Maybe you need to soften and allow you loving you is enough for now you are already whole and complete your heart is whole,
Complete and working perfectly you are more than enough,
You always have been and you always will be and you are never too much for the right people it's safe to be the real you it's safe to be honest about your feelings it's safe to have boundaries and to choose yourself you are perfect exactly as you are you love and accept yourself fully nothing that is for you will ever pass you by you can never miss out on what is truly meant for you you are kind and patient with yourself as you move through this you talk kindly to yourself the way you would talk to your best friend every day that you listen to this recording you're feeling a little lighter,
A little more optimistic about the future you know that love is for you you have so much more love left to experience you are so lovable,
You have always been lovable and you always will be you are amazing you have so much to offer,
So much to share with the right person you are making space in your life for aligned love to enter you're calling back all of your energy now and channeling it into you you are your new heart project this is your time to focus on you and nurture yourself you deserve love,
You are worthy of true love you deserve connection that feels easy,
Safe,
Fun and delightful you get to choose healthy connection that nurtures you you're creating space in your life and in your heart to welcome in peace and joy right now your heart is healing and opening you are growing so much from this experience there is so much evolution happening right now you have so much more clarity now about what you want from a relationship,
What you need and what you can offer another you have everything you need to overcome this and to come through it even stronger,
Happier than ever before aligned love doesn't hurt,
It always makes you love yourself more love is safe,
Kind,
Patient and peaceful by letting go you're making room in your life for aligned love to enter your heart is whole and unbreakable,
It was made to feel deeply feeling deeply is a wonderful sign that you are alive and open to life this experience is birthing a new version of you you love who you are now and you love who you are becoming universal love is always available to you and all you have to do to receive is allow it it's safe for you to love and to be loved your heart is at peace you are loving,
Lovable and deeply loved you are love this recording is coming to an end and if you haven't already done so when i count down from 10 to 1 in a moment you will drift off to the most blissful,
Peaceful and healing deep sleep when you wake up in the morning you will be feeling refreshed,
Revitalized re-energized and more optimistic about the future you will feel calm and connected to yourself connected to your own inner peace,

I love that this practice is permissive and not restrictive. It's doesn't follow the redundant traditional body scan. It doesn't follow the traditional affirmations. It strengthens my visualization skills, furthers self acceptance and allows for processing emotions rather than avoiding them. I have ADHD and the whole meditation kept me engaged while simultaneously being effective. The length was ideal, her voice was soothing and at the right tempo. The background music was soothing pairing perfectly with her voice. Thank you for a new favorite meditation
