Action practice.
This is Margie,
Founder and creator of Heartnicity.
I'm going to lead you through a practice to support you in your ability to take heart-based action.
Before we begin,
Please take a moment to think of a person or situation for which you feel truly grateful.
Choose a person or situation that you find easy to generate gratitude around.
It could just be the face of a person or pet,
Or it could be a time when someone did something kind for you for which you feel deeply grateful.
Just generate this feeling of gratitude now.
Choose a person or situation that carries no baggage,
That is easy and clear for you to have a feeling of gratitude inside yourself.
Any time you lose the sense of gratitude during the practice,
Return to this person or situation to bring the feeling of gratitude into your awareness once more.
So sit quietly and close your eyes.
Ensure you will not be disturbed and that you are warm and comfortable during the practice.
Begin by taking some long,
Deep,
Quiet breaths.
Inhale,
Pause.
Now exhale.
Inhale deeply,
Pause and exhale.
Now bring your awareness to the place where your heart sits inside your chest.
You might want to place your hand there.
Take a few breaths as though you are breathing in and out through your heart.
Inhale,
Heart inflates.
Exhale,
Heart deflates.
Inhale through the heart.
Exhale through the heart.
Now keep the heart breathing going and bring the person or situation to mind for which you feel a deep sense of gratitude.
Conjure up the image you are feeling.
Feeling grateful.
And now while holding the feeling of gratitude,
Continue to breathe in and out through your heart.
Take a few of these breaths.
Inhale with gratefulness.
Exhale with gratefulness.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Breathing in and out through the heart and holding a sense of gratitude.
Taking a few breaths.
Now letting go of your breath and taking your time,
Feel your feet on the floor.
Feel your hands.
Feel your back against the chair or mat.
Take one more deep inhalation and take this sense of coherence into the rest of your day.
Repeat as often as you like to balance the heart,
To balance the heart and brain together,
To support heart based choices and actions.
Your heart and brain are now in a coherent state.
Until next we meet.
Much love to you,
Margie.
