Hello dear friend,
How has your life been lately?
We live in a busy world where being busy feels like quote-unquote the norm and somehow we have made ourselves believe that this is the recipe for success.
Our life is busy with events and our mind is busy with thoughts.
So if life is a constant go-go-go,
Then when are you going to enjoy your life?
In this meditation I would like to invite you to slow down and connect to your breath so you are in touch with your inner guidance.
That place within us that knows what's good and right for us and it's guiding us when we allow it.
Put all your distractions away and find a comfortable spot where you can relax and disconnect from the outside world.
Sit with your back nice and tall,
Elongate the spine,
Roll the shoulders back and open the chest.
Gently lean your head to your right shoulder and then to your left shoulder to release any tension or discomfort from your neck.
Press your feet into the floor and feel the support of the ground beneath you.
Hands resting in your lap,
Palms facing up.
Adjust your posture so you are comfortable.
When you are ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Notice where is your awareness and slowly call your attention to this moment.
Take as much time as you need for your attention to arrive to this present moment.
Remember,
There is no need to rush.
We are here to slow down and be in sync with the universal breath.
Connect to your breath and feel the vibrations of each breath moving through your body.
Slowly guide your breath into your legs and feet,
Down your arms and into your hands and fingers.
Feel your breath swirling in your hips and abdomen.
Now shift your attention to your back and run your breath a few times up and down your spine.
Become aware of your visceral experience in this moment.
Take a deep breath into your heart space and notice what is going on in there.
Now a deep breath into your head and imagine all your low vibration thoughts escaping your mind and evaporating into thin air.
Acknowledge how you feel in this moment with no judgment and no expectation.
Take this moment to just be and open yourself up for reflection and contemplation.
What does slowing down mean to you?
Notice what images,
Visuals or sounds are popping on your mental screen.
What is the belief that stops you from slowing down?
Take a deep breath and expand your awareness to get a bird's eye view of your life.
How fast are you navigating through life at the moment?
Is it 100-200 miles an hour?
Take a deep breath and express compassion and unconditional love for yourself.
What would your life look like if you could allocate 10-15 minutes daily for yourself to spend time in silence and solitude,
To pause,
Connect,
Breathe and contemplate on your life?
What would that feel like?
Life is ever so busy and the to-do list is never ending.
We are busy looking after the family,
Busy at work and busy with housework.
And then there is the new busy,
Which is considered a form of relaxation,
Scrolling on social media.
It is much easier to be busy and distracted by life than to sit in silence and solitude.
Let go of all the nonsense.
Keep breathing in and out,
In and out.
Notice the space between each inhale and exhale.
Notice the space between an incoming thought and an outgoing thought.
It takes inner strength and commitment to allow yourself to slow down.
We all need reminders to relax,
Enjoy and be grateful for this life experience.
With every breath,
Slow down even more your breathing,
Your thoughts,
Your mind.
It is deeply ingrained,
Entrenched into our subconscious mind the need to justify our existence,
To prove that we are worthy,
To strive for validation.
It's the ego's desire to constantly be on a hamster wheel.
And this is because the ego is scared,
Afraid of failure and afraid of success,
Never satisfied and demanding for more.
More money,
More business,
More work,
More friends,
More opportunities.
Come back to your breath.
Breathe in and out.
Allow your body to relax and your mind to calm down.
There is nothing you need to do in this moment.
Nowhere to go,
No one to tend to.
Open your heart and show appreciation and gratitude to all people and things that came into your life so far.
Your family,
Friends,
Experiences,
Places.
Be grateful for a beautiful smile,
A beautiful sunrise and a rosy sunset.
A pink rose,
A child playing in the rain,
Good food and clean water,
A starry night,
The moon,
The sun,
Our planet,
Trees and flowers.
No need for you to prove yourself to the world that you are enough.
You know who you are and that's enough.
Take a deep breath and look into the depths of your soul.
Sense what's there.
Feel your emotions.
Listen to your soul.
Repeat these affirmations quietly to yourself.
I am enough.
I have done enough.
I am a magnificent being.
It's okay for me to slow down and enjoy life.
I know that slowing down is beneficial for my mental and physical being.
Place one hand on your heart and say to yourself,
I'm giving myself permission to slow down.
Notice if you are experiencing a shift in your mind or physical body.
Take good care of yourself and spend the rest of your day enjoying and basking in every moment.
