There is a Parts Work Exercise (meditation) to do that is complementary to this EFT Tapping. The Parts Work exercise (meditation) has tools to be able to change unwanted behavior/s. This EFT Tapping is to support you as you work on changing unwanted behaviors through that work. ALL Parts of us always have a positive intention, no exceptions. In this EFT Tapping, we can acknowledge this truth and work on the love and compassion for all of our parts. EFT Tapping Points: Side of hand (opening statement), eyebrow, side of eye, under eye, under nose, under lip, collarbone, side of chest, and top of head.

Hello,

Welcome to the AFP Tapping meeting.

Today we'll be doing a really short tapping on allowing us to know and see and feel that all parts of us always has a positive intention.

So if that doesn't feel like it's true for you,

Maybe this would be a good tapping.

I'll start with a prayer.

God,

Please do your will for this tapping.

Please say the words for all of us and please do this tapping for all of us.

I will start with side of hand.

Even though sometimes it feels like there are parts of me that does not do good for me,

I still deeply and completely love,

Accept,

And honor all parts of me,

Including the ones that feels like they're not doing good for me.

Eyebrow,

All these parts of me,

All of me inside me,

My conscious self,

The parts of me that I don't recognize,

And maybe the parts of me I don't like.

I see you all.

And even if I can't physically see you,

Me knowing you exist is me seeing you.

And if I don't know whether you exist or not,

I choose to acknowledge that I have all these parts in me working for me.

But what about the parts that I don't like?

What about the parts that feels like it's self-sabotaging?

It's not letting me do what I want to do.

Those parts of me,

I choose to know they all have a positive intention.

The methods and behaviors they use is not the same as their positive intention.

So if I'm trying to pick flowers and I get a rash,

If I'm trying to earn money and I self-sabotage,

Can I sit down for a moment and ask this part?

What is your positive intention for me?

This behavior of not being able to enjoy flowers,

This behavior of not being able to earn money,

And any other behaviors that I would like to change.

They are not the same as my positive intention.

What is its positive intention for me?

I choose to thank this part for the positive intention.

It is not the same as my behaviors.

And it's okay that it's not working anymore.

The fact that these behaviors are here,

It means at one point I needed them.

At one point,

It kept me safe.

All my parts work for three main important things.

Safety,

Belonging,

And love.

So if there's a behavior I don't like,

Can I find out by lovingly communicating with my parts?

Are you just trying to keep me safe?

Are you just trying to make sure I belong?

Or are you just trying to make sure I am loved?

Because all parts of me,

No exceptions,

Always have a positive intention.

No exceptions.

And I choose to see the positive intention now.

I can change these behaviors if I choose.

But I cannot change them with anger and hate and blame.

Can I be grateful for this positive intention?

Can I be grateful for my parts working for me?

Can I be grateful that I have been working with my parts to make sure I am safe,

Loved,

And I belong?

Everything else has no meaning.

Everything that is not love is not real.

And I can change these behaviors with love.

And I choose to fulfill these positive intentions in new and better ways through gratitude and love.

And take a deep breath.

Thank you.

And we just did a parts,

And this tapping complements that.
