Ah,

Here we are,

Finally giving our busy brain a break.

There have been many things going through our mind over and over again.

To-do lists,

Plans,

Thoughts,

Problems and possible solutions.

Challenges we don't know how to solve,

Or changes we don't know how to adapt to.

The mind has a busy job,

Trying to understand everything,

Trying to solve everything,

Trying to make everyone happy.

Trying,

Trying,

Trying,

While often blocking the natural flow of life.

That moment when you sit back,

Look at the sky,

Dream away with a cup of tea,

And all of a sudden a great idea arises.

Our creativity can finally take stage and thrive.

Inspiration hits us,

Our intuition speaks up.

This can only happen when we give our brain a break.

When we stop analysing,

Thinking,

Reasoning,

Rationalizing.

Whenever we step away from the normal rush of life,

Whenever we turn off our autopilot and get fully present,

Even if it's just for 5 minutes,

We can zoom out and see the full picture of our lives,

Gain a new perspective or insight,

And calm our nervous system.

For the next 3 minutes,

I invite you to just allow yourself to do nothing at all,

To think nothing at all.

Whenever you feel like you're getting distracted by a thought,

Gently remind yourself to return to this moment.

Feel your breath,

Feel your body.

Whether you're lying down or sitting,

Feel the tension in your body.

Is there tension around your eyes?

Close your eyes if you haven't yet,

And give your body a quality moment of rest before you get back to it.

Remember that thoughts will run through your head and that is part of nature.

Just be kind and return to the present moment.
