Welcome to your sacred earth meditation.
During the next little while,
You will be connecting to the beautiful earth below us.
Your earth mother,
Mother Gaia,
Pachamama.
The grounding force,
The being of abundance that always nourishes us,
Always loves us,
Always supports us.
Closing your eyes and finding yourself in a comfortable position and allowing your gaze to turn inward.
When we connect to the element of earth,
We connect to our physical selves,
To the wisdom that exists in our bodies.
When we connect to the earth,
We connect to our grounded sensuality.
We are reminded of all of our senses.
We are reminded that we are spiritual beings having a physical human experience and that human experience deserves to be honored.
That human experience deserves to be cherished.
And so we are here experiencing this beautiful human life,
A life that we can experience in any way we wish to.
A life that we have full creative liberty to shine through.
Bringing your awareness to your breath,
The inhalation and exhalation,
Following the inward and the outward flow.
The prana that keeps you,
Keeps your physical body alive,
Present and well.
And in your mind's eye,
Directing your gaze behind closed eyelids up ever so gently to your third eye to open the portals and the channels of sight,
Of clairvoyance,
Of intuitive imagery.
And envision your feet placed in the earth,
Feeling grass and soil in between your toes.
The warmth,
Yet coolness that greets the balls of your feet,
The heel of your feet.
Taking a deep breath in and smelling the forest around you.
Picturing maple trees,
Birch trees,
Pine trees all around you,
A river flowing nearby,
Just a small one.
And feeling safe amongst the greenery,
Amongst the plants,
Some you recognize,
Some you don't.
As you gaze around you,
Filling your mind's eye with your surroundings,
You are overwhelmed with grounded safety,
Connecting back into the foundations of who you are,
Remembering yourself as nature,
Not seeing yourself as separate.
Sometimes we say we are going into nature.
We are visiting a forest,
An ocean,
A river,
A field that we forget that we are not separate from Mother Earth.
We retreat into the healing solace of the earth,
Only to remember that we are her and she is us.
We are no more,
No less important than the tree we sit beside,
Than the deer that cross our paths,
The animals we hear in the bushes.
We are one with all of Mother Earth's children,
With all of our relations,
With our tree relations,
Our rock family,
With our animal ancestors.
The element of Earth,
Mother Earth,
Reminds us that the time will come for us to pass,
For us to no longer embody this human form that we have come to identify with.
She also reminds us that we will be at peace when that time comes,
Because as our bodies dissolve back into its base elements,
We will return into the natural cycles of all that is.
We will return to feed the other animals.
Our souls will return to the great oneness of all.
As humans,
We often identify with the separation,
You and me,
Us and them.
But with the earth,
We are reminded that we are all expressions of this beautiful element,
That one tree is not more beautiful or more valuable than the other,
That within the stillness of a rock,
There is also movement.
There is erosion.
There are rivers and streams.
There is growth amongst the stillness.
Too slow for us to realize,
Yet over time,
We begin to see the earth has the power to heal herself,
To regenerate herself,
Even when we may cause harm to her.
Even amongst the fires and the floods,
The earthquakes,
The pollution,
Global warming.
Against all of that,
She still stands strong,
Sturdy,
And nurturing,
Giving to us without pause.
And so we are reminded that we too have that capacity to give love always and always,
To be strong,
To be sturdy,
To regenerate.
She reminds us that we have the power to heal ourselves,
We always have,
And we always will.
Connect into the element of earth in your life.
Allow yourself to get grounded,
To get firm and sturdy,
To feel stable and at peace and one with everything,
To give love without asking for anything in return,
Not because you think you should,
But because it is your birthright to give,
Because you feel called to be of service.
Mother earth lives outside of society,
Outside of what is deemed as acceptable and practical,
And yet here she is,
Alive and well.
As we can see in this forest,
As we can hear in the laughter of children,
As we can see in the animals that continue to thrive and grow and be exactly who they are,
Adapting to every shift and every change.
Mother earth reminds us that all things that we deem as not natural,
Every vehicle,
Every building,
Every bit of plastic has been birthed from her,
From her base elements,
From what she has given us.
And so we may ask ourselves,
What do we choose to create?
What do we choose to create?
What do we choose to create with what we are given?
Sometimes we are given trauma in this life.
Sometimes we are given pain or blessings,
Talents and gifts.
Sometimes we are given things that we do not understand.
So you see,
It's not what we are given in this life,
But it is what we can give.
How may we embody mother earth and regenerate the way she has,
Reminding us that we can create beautiful things from what we are given,
No matter how painful,
But we can also create destructive things with our most beautiful gifts.
Spend as long as you need connecting into mother earth,
Knowing that she is always with you and will always be with you.
I love you and so does mother Gaia.
Many blessings.
