Processing emotions isn't always an easy thing to do and oftentimes our feelings and emotions become stored in our bodies in the form of muscle pains or discomfort. With that in mind, we've created a meditation practice that includes breathwork and body scanning to help us find those areas of discomfort while providing you with the tools to help you release them from your body and mind. We invite you to make yourself comfortable and join us for this Emotional Release guided meditation.

Welcome to our guided meditation to release of repressed emotions.

In this meditation,

We'll be going through a breathwork practice that will help us release heavy emotions we may be carrying in our bodies.

Oftentimes,

The heavy emotions that we put aside and suppress within ourselves can become stored in our muscles,

Our bones,

Our cells,

And other places in our body,

Causing discomfort and pain in those areas.

Anger,

Frustration,

Sadness can all be manifested as those areas of tightness or stress in our bodies.

So today,

We will take the first step towards discovering and releasing those heavy emotional blockages by narrowing our focus on the point of tension where we store them,

Opening the door for deeper contemplation,

Discovery,

And acceptance.

Please make yourself comfortable and allow your body to relax with a few easy breaths.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Allow the tension in your body to dissolve,

Relaxing your hands in your lap,

Relaxing your face.

Feel your shoulders drop,

Sinking slowly down and resting softly on top of you.

Gently relax your eyelids,

Allowing them to comfortably close so as not to be distracted by what's in front of you,

And allow the tension in your eyebrows to dissipate as you do so.

Gently relaxing your body,

What signals are your body giving you in this moment?

What sensations are you feeling as you sit here?

How does the fabric of your clothes feel on your skin?

How does the temperature in your room feel?

Warm and comfortable,

Cool and breezy.

Simply observe.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Finding your peace in the moment.

What about the smells?

What scent do you smell in the air?

And how does it make you feel as you smell it?

And just take a moment to listen to the sounds of the singing bowls as they vibrate through your body,

In through your ears and picked up by your sensory receptors.

Just listen.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

What feelings are they activating within you?

I now want you to observe the sensations you're experiencing inside your body,

In your muscles and bones.

Take a moment to scan through your body.

Begin at your toes and work your way up to your hips,

Through your core and chest,

Down your arms into your fingertips,

Back up to your neck and head.

Observe how your body feels inside.

Is there any place that feels tense or uncomfortable?

I invite you to keep your awareness on the areas of discomfort you feel inside and truly observe them,

Feel them,

Be with them.

Recognize this discomfort.

When we hold and feel these uncomfortable areas,

We can become familiar with the discomfort they bring us so that we know where to focus when we want to release them.

I now want you to take these feelings of density and discomfort into your core and imagine it as a dark,

Heavy red color,

Filling your core with this unprocessed heaviness of feelings and emotions,

Swirling through you as you condense this heaviness into one spot.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Allowing this density to swirl through your core.

Feel it compacting within you as this heavy red color.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Now imagine this dense red color dissipating as you allow it to disperse within your body.

Feel it flowing outwardly as it becomes softer shade of red and then pink as it flows through your arms and into your fingertips,

Down your legs and into your toes,

Condensing at the tips of your body.

Now turn your hands upward and facing the sky and allow the red color to pour out from your hands and feet as you release the tension and weight of these heavy emotions out of your body.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Releasing all that red density from your limbs,

Flowing it out of your fingertips and toes.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Releasing all the red density from your limbs.

With each breath you take,

Breathing in life and exhaling those repressed emotions and feelings out of your body until all the red colors cleared out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Releasing all the red density heaviness from your body.

You may take any extra breaths you need to release the last bit of red density from your fingertips and toes.

You no longer have to carry this weight.

Observe how your body feels now.

Does it feel lighter,

Clearer?

Bask in this feeling of lightness and allow the vibrations to spread this comfort throughout the body.

Feel the sounds moving through you.

Now let's focus our awareness on an area in our body that feels good.

Scan your body for a spot that feels comfortable in this moment.

When you find this spot,

Imagine shining as a beautiful color of yellow as it glows softly within you.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Imagine this yellow warmth moving from that spot of comfort and warmly flowing through the rest of your body.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Allowing this comforting yellow light to expand through every inch of your body,

Through your core,

Into the ends of your limbs,

Filling you with comfort and ease.

Allow this warmth to envelop your body as you become familiar with the good sensations you experience and bask in these new feelings of bliss.

By visualizing our attention,

Pain,

And discomfort as color,

We're able to more easily tap into emotions that have been buried deep under the surface and may not be easily accessible by the conscious mind.

Similarly,

Finding our points of comfort and ease and visualizing them as color can aid us in spreading positivity through the body,

Which can open the door for positivity in the mind.

Take a few moments to bask in this warm and yellow light that has filled your body,

Imagining this light radiating all throughout and above you like warm static electricity.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Embrace these sound waves as they penetrate through your muscles and bones,

Allowing you to completely relax and surrender to these new feelings of bliss as all the density has been transmuted out of you.

You may continue listening to this sound bath on your own from here as you process any other feelings or emotions you may be experiencing.
