Welcome to our peppermint aromatherapy guided meditation.
In this session,
We invite you to bring out your peppermint essential oil,
Raw peppermint leaves,
Or anything that allows you to smell the scent with ease and follow along.
And if you're not already,
I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
Any position that allows your body the opportunity to relax is just perfect.
The scent of peppermint has an amazing way of causing an awakening of our senses with its cool aroma flowing smoothly through your airways and can also stimulate alertness of the mind as the brisk particles clear through your nostrils and enter your body.
And with that being said,
It's time we bring out our peppermint.
Place a couple of drops of essential oil on your palms or rub the peppermint leaves there as well,
And first observe the small cooling sensation they trigger.
Now we will rub our palms together,
Blending the scent into both hands,
And bring them up to the nose for a soft yet deep inhale to truly feel the aroma flowing in through your nostrils.
Gently breathe the scent in through your nose softly and deep.
Hold it and exhale through your nose.
Let's take another.
Gently breathe the scent in through your nose.
Hold and exhale through your nose.
What sensations did you experience as you took the first smell?
How did the scent feel as it entered your airways?
Simply observe the feelings that surface as you take these breaths in.
Let's take another soft yet deep breath,
Gently breathing the scent in through your nose.
Hold and exhale through your nose.
Can you feel the invigoration of this aroma?
How the cool breeze tickles its way through your senses,
Awakening,
Activating,
And stimulating your consciousness.
Now just listen to the music for a moment while you observe what's happening inside of you.
When we take deep breaths,
We fill ourselves not only with oxygen,
But the nutrients of the scent from the peppermint,
Allowing endorphins to release with the smelling of this aroma.
Each breath awakening your senses and allowing your mind to feel alert.
I invite you to bring your hands to your nose again and take small breaths in and out through your nose for a few moments to really bask in the scent.
Feel the aroma as it fills your airways.
Be sure to breathe at a comfortable pace.
Not too fast,
Not too slow.
Just your normal breathing as you truly observe this fragrance and what it is doing to your body and mind with each inhale.
Gently breathing in and out.
In and out.
If the scent becomes too strong,
Hold your hands a little farther from your face so that the smell doesn't overwhelm you.
Gentle breathing.
You may bring your hands down and rest your arms.
When we combine scent with our sound healing,
We have the opportunity to be immersed into this experience.
We are all taking advantage of the beneficial properties of aroma and sound together.
Can you feel if your mind is more awakened,
Feeling refreshed and alert?
You may bring your hands to your nose again and allow the fragrance to stimulate your cognitive functioning by surrendering to the scent and allowing it to work with you,
Work for you.
Let's take another deeper breath and feel how the smell expands throughout your lungs and body.
Gently breathe in through your nose deep and feel your stomach expand.
Hold and exhale.
Another deep breath in,
Hold and exhale.
Great.
Can you observe any changes within your mind?
Do you feel more clear in your thoughts?
How is the peppermint affecting you?
Let's take a few more soft,
Smaller breaths to really notice any changes you feel happening within your consciousness.
Conscious awareness in the moment is how we can truly utilize scent and sound to benefit us and immediately bring us relief.
The effects of peppermint can be long-lasting and we can apply the scent whenever we need a mental boost or a little extra clarity.
The knowledge to awaken your mind is now with you and you may use these tools whenever you need it.
Thank you so much for joining us for this peppermint sound bath.
The rest of this sound bath is yours to explore with your peppermint.
Remember to take gentle breaths and observe what is happening throughout your experience.
And have fun.
We will see you soon.
Thank you.
