Hi,

My name is Simon and welcome to Happy Mind Meditations.

This particular meditation is a part of the 7 minute series of meditations for busy people.

The intention of this meditation is to help you to unplug and reset and just like a computer we often can have many tabs running in the background of our minds which are taking up a lot of energy and creating a lot of stress within ourselves.

So this meditation has been designed to help you unplug from all of those,

Close down those tabs and come back into a more centered place so that you can access more energy for your day ahead.

Let's dive into this meditation.

Let's begin by slowly closing your eyes and we're going to take a slow deep breath in and gently exhale and another slow deep breath in,

Expanding your stomach and a gentle exhale.

Just focusing on the breath for now,

On the sound of the breath,

Continue with a deep slow breath and we're going to begin just by first letting go of the past.

Our minds can hold on to things that have already happened so any part of your mind that's focusing on what happened in the day or what's happened in your past,

Allow yourself in this space to just let go,

To surrender the past.

Take a deep breath in and on the exhale let go of the past,

The past no longer exists.

And the same thing with the future.

Allow yourself for now to unplug from and let go of any future plans,

Any creations,

Any work that you have coming up,

Any excitement,

Any meetings.

Just allow yourself to just let it go for now.

All we have right now is the present moment so allow yourself to just let go of all future plans.

Take a deep breath in and gently exhale,

Letting completely go.

And now I want you to place the palms of your hands both over your stomach center and just take a slow deep inhale in,

Focusing only on the stomach area and a gentle exhale as if you're breathing through your stomach.

And I want you to use your imagination here and just imagine that within your stomach area there is a big ball of light and this ball of light represents your energy.

And I want you to imagine now that from your stomach center you're drawing back in all of these strands of light,

Unplugging from all of your to-do lists,

All your creations,

All your excitement of things to come and just allow these strands of light to make their way back into this big ball of energy that represents you.

Just feel that unplugging release as all of these strands of light now come back and make their way slowly and gently into your stomach area,

Into that big ball of light.

And now let's do the same thing with our relationships.

Just imagine all of these people that you're connected with,

Your friendships,

Your family members,

Maybe your children,

Your partners,

Everything now we're just for this moment going to unplug completely from these relationships to come back into the center.

So just imagine now all of these connections connecting yourself to your friendships,

Your family members now,

And imagine these strands of light making their way back slowly and gently back into this big ball of energy.

And exhale,

Allowing these strands of light to make their way back into this big ball of energy.

And now we're going to just let go for now of the idea of time and bound in this world of course with time constraints,

With having to be somewhere,

But for now let's just allow ourselves to let go of the concept of time and enter a place of timelessness,

Of just being in this moment,

Relax into that space.

And lastly,

We're going to let go of all ideas we have about ourself,

The identities,

The concepts that we have made up about ourselves,

The roles we play in the world.

It's all beautiful,

But for now,

Let's just let go and unplug from any ideas we might have about ourselves.

Take a deep breath in and a gentle exhale.

Now you can gently open your eyes back.

I hope you're feeling refreshed,

Re-centered,

Present,

And ready to tackle the rest of your day.
