Hello,

This is Rebecca Watterson from Happy Is.

Welcome,

You are listening to a relaxing guided meditation to help reduce frustrations,

Stresses and anxieties that you might be facing at this time in your life.

We cannot control what is happening outside or in the world around us,

But we can bring attention to our minds and control what is going on inside of them for a moment.

Let's take this time right now to bring some quiet and stillness to our minds and bodies.

You may rest in a seated position or lie down if you feel more comfortable.

You could lie down on the floor or even on the ground in an outside space if you wish to grind your energy.

You could sit down or lie down on your comfortable sofa or on your bed and cover yourself with a blanket.

Find a quiet place and close your eyes.

You are safe,

You are relaxed,

You are secure.

There is power in being in the present moment when we are feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

Often our minds are racing,

Thinking about that which we wish we had control over.

That which we had done differently in the past.

We are worrying about the future happening exactly as we desire it to.

This meditation will help to calm your mind and free you from frustrations to allow you to let go of stresses and worries.

Take this time just for you.

Draw your attention to your breath as you exhale all the air from your lungs.

Don't change your breath just yet.

Just focus your mind on the natural rhythm of the air moving in and out of your lungs.

Sigh or yawn if you feel like it.

Get comfortable and shake off those last bits of nervousness or anxiety to allow your body to rest and become still.

Inhale for the count of 4 and then exhale for the count of 8.

Inhaling for 4 and exhaling for 8.

Breathing at your own rhythm and pace that feel best for you.

Your worries and frustrations float away and your body releases tension.

You turn your breath to its normal,

Natural rhythm and pace whenever you feel ready.

Your breath can be your friend in times of anxiety,

Frantic thoughts,

Frustrations or stress.

You can count your breath.

You can slow your breath.

You can draw your attention to watch and listen to your breath.

And in your breath you find the stillness,

The calm that allows you to pass through these moments.

And every moment will pass as you breathe in and out.

As time passes and moves forward to a new moment full of possibilities and peace.

You may imagine yourself gently cocooned in a cosy warm blanket.

The softness of the blanket on your skin reminding you that you are safe and warm and you are loved.

When you are wrapped in this blanket you are protected from distractions and negativity outside of you and inside this cocoon it is safe to embrace your feelings.

Whenever you feel anxious,

Stressed or frustrated you may remember this cosy warm blanket wrapped around you and creating space for you to react to your feelings and recuperate from the impact of the world outside.

With each moment that passes in this cocoon you become more still,

You become more calm.

You find yourself relaxing in this protective blanket.

This is your sanctuary.

Here as you are inhaling and exhaling your calm mind wanders to a place and time where you felt completely safe and secure.

You may embrace these affirmations.

I am free from all frustration.

I am safe.

I am doing my best.

I am calm.

I am centered.

I am still.

And you accept where you are at this present moment in the gentle safe cocoon of your cosy warm blanket.

Your sanctuary.

Your space to be calm and free from worry.

You inhale and exhale allowing your thoughts to wander to a special place in your mind where you feel calm and safe.

Perhaps a secluded cottage in the forest or a luxury hotel suite beside the ocean.

Perhaps you have been to this place before or perhaps it is somewhere you have imagined and would like to visit.

The details become clear and you are free to visit this place now.

Your body relaxes and your tensions melt away leaving you quiet and still and at peace.

This retreat is somewhere that you can visit anytime you wish.

When you are feeling overwhelmed or frustrated you need only take a few moments to access this place in your mind to allow the calming stillness to gently wash over you as it is right now.

You are safe here and you are completely free to be yourself.

You are exactly where you need to be right now.

You are feeling a deep sense of relaxation moving over your body in gentle warm waves from head to toe.

Each of your muscles is relaxed.

Your head is relaxed.

Your face is relaxed.

Your jaw is unclenched and relaxed.

Your neck is relaxed.

Your shoulders are loose and relaxed.

As you inhale and exhale your body feels more and more relaxed.

Your chest is relaxed.

Your arms are relaxed.

Your hands and fingers are open,

Relaxed and still.

Your stomach is relaxed.

Your legs are relaxed and resting.

Your feet and toes are relaxed.

As you inhale and exhale any residual tension disappears from your body and as each moment passes you become more still,

More calm and more relaxed.

You are at peace with yourself,

With the world around you.

You are safe.

You are secure.

You may inhale and exhale drawing your attention to the normal rhythm and peace of your breath.

Slowly beginning to move your toes and fingers as you return from your sanctuary and your special place to the here and now.

Bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Listen to the sounds around you and notice how relaxed your body feels.

Open your eyes whenever you feel ready.

Gently move your body noticing that you feel relaxed and free from frustration and tension.

You are fully awake,

Energized and ready to begin again.

Thank you so much for listening.

I hope you have a truly wonderful day.
