So welcome to this new moon meditation that is in the sign of Gemini.
Gemini is a sign that is ruled by the planet Mercury which is a planet of communication and mental movement.
It's a very adaptable,
Flexible and playful sign.
So as you just start to get settled for this meditation,
Ensure you do feel comfortable.
Maybe you're seated or laying down,
Just creating a really nice long spine.
The sign of Gemini is actually associated with the element of air as well as the physical body part,
The lungs.
So wherever you are rested or seated,
Just become aware of the size and the depth of your own lungs.
Becoming really settled in your body and in your position,
Begin to use the total capacity of your lungs to breathe.
We're not often using the total capacity of our lungs to breathe day to day.
Just take this time now to fill the front and the back and the sides of the lungs.
If you haven't already,
Allow the eyes to close or the gaze to soften.
As you become more and more aware,
Just simply of the lungs and their capacity to expand and contract with the breath.
You may also feel the diaphragm moving up and down in unison with the breath.
Just resume a nice natural breath rhythm.
Make your awareness to the right side of your body.
Just gently scanning the body on the right side,
All the way from the right toes up through the foot and the leg,
All the way up to the right side of your hip,
The groin,
Up the right side of the torso,
All the way up the right side of the neck,
To the right jaw,
The cheek,
The right side of the nose,
Through to the right ear,
All around the right eye area,
Around the temple and over the whole right side of the skull.
Just soften completely that right side.
The bones on the right side get heavy and the muscles relax.
Then take your awareness over to the left side of the body.
Just taking that scan from the left toes up through the left foot,
The leg,
The left side of the hip,
The groin,
Left side of the torso,
All the way up the left arm,
The shoulder,
And over the left side of the neck,
For the elongation of the neck.
There is the left side of the jaw,
The left cheek,
The left side of the nose,
All the way to the ear,
Around the left eye area,
The temple and the whole left side of the skull.
Completely relaxing the whole left side of the body,
Allowing it to soften,
Bones,
Muscles,
All the nerves in the body soften,
To embrace this sense of duality.
And then just a complete body scan,
Scanning the body in its totality,
And noticing how these two parts of the body create a whole.
There are always two sides to a story.
There may even be stories in your mind at any given moment that take on many sides.
And it's on a human to embrace all the different places along the spectrum.
And Geminai season calls us to embrace these contrasts and complexities of your mind,
Embrace them with a playful demeanor.
This is what Geminai is all about,
Communication and curiosities.
There is an inner child always asking why and how,
Eager to understand,
Eager to form a story.
The key is to allow a flexibility and an open mindedness.
Just allow for a moment all the thoughts and the stories that may be floating around in your head to simply become like voices that you allow and you hear this chitter chatter inside like a group of friends just chattying away to one another.
Instead of fearing these thoughts or trying to stuff them away somewhere,
Just give yourself a moment to allow these different perspectives and thoughts and ideas to just flood in without any need to participate in the story you're just watching as these noises just flood in and around the brain.
It may even be an inner child piping up asking why,
Why,
Why.
Or there may be a familiar story on repeat.
Just take a few more moments and instead of suppressing just letting everything come up and out.
You don't need to be taken on the story.
Just let the stories arise.
Notice them and say okay,
Next one.
Of course if it does feel appropriate at any time and you'd like to pause the recording to write anything pressing on paper,
Sometimes that is useful.
So that when you do a drop deeper into this meditation,
You're able to relax.
Just trust that these thoughts will organize themselves at a later time.
As you release rigidity in your body,
You completely release the need to control or follow the thoughts and actually now allow the volume of the thought forms,
The chitter chattering in your mind,
Just start to gently lower.
Hearing the sound gently fade out.
Let it become a gentle,
Lulling hum in the background of your mind.
Maybe it is even the sound of hum,
Hum,
Hum,
Hum.
As though your mind is a home,
You're placing this humming sound in a separate room.
So you be a gentle,
Lulling hum in the very background.
You're free now to enter a beautiful,
Spacious room in your mind.
Completely empty and spacious.
This room you have a view out to your favorite place in nature.
Really cool to mind this image of your favorite place in nature as you let your body inhale the essence of this place and exhale a sense of calm and peace.
This calm and peaceful state begin now to see the pink light transcending from the sky all the way through the crown of your head and through the center of your body,
Swirling through the center of your body like a watercolor being swirled.
Let this light twirl and whirl through your body and simply observe where your mind decides to swirl this color in whatever direction and at any pace.
Just watch it swirl and twirl spontaneously.
You're comfortable observing,
Just witnessing its flickers and turns and sight.
And if this light changes color,
Just allow it.
This light is playful,
Healing.
This light is delighting in your body.
And let this light now concentrate itself at your heart center.
Hope it is a color that you really feel into this energy inside the heart space.
Meaning to become so aware of your heart space,
Invite your heart to drive your curiosities.
And affirm your connection with your heart by taking the breath deeper into this space.
Let the breath fill up the area around the heart,
The front,
The back,
The sides of the heart.
And as you inhale,
Feel the breath as you exhale,
As if this heart-centered energy is flowing out to the world.
As you breathe and strengthen this relationship with your heart,
You sense into a feeling of deep trust.
As this heart can guide you.
Now allow your awareness to lift slightly up to your throat center.
Let the breath flow freely out of the throat passage,
The space where the brain connects to the body.
Allow it to fill open as you clear your communication channel.
If there is any other intention you would like to set for this meditation,
You have the time now to just bask in these new sensations,
Planting these intentions deep within.
