A Quick Reset Meditation

Think of this as a nervous-system reset wrapped in real life. You’ll hear roosters, birds, the world doing its thing, and instead of editing it out, we use it. Your thoughts become the chickens: wandering, popping in, making noise, and you just watch them with curiosity instead of letting them run the show. This reset drops you back into your body, slows the internal static, and brings you into the exact moment you’re living in. Inhale: arrive. Exhale: soften. Let the world around you remind you that you’re held by something bigger. You’re supported. You’re connected. You’re part of the rhythm of right now. A simple pause. A full-body exhale. A return to you.

Hello,

My friend.

This is a meditation for when you need a quick nervous system reset.

This is here by HMT,

Where we find reasons why right here is the best place to be.

And if you can,

Please close down your eyes.

Let's take a big,

Beautiful inhale breath through your nose.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Let that go.

Another big breath here,

This time from the bottom of your belly.

Inhale.

Fill up.

Expand.

Fill up and expand.

Really feel the air,

That sensation of it filling up your lungs as you inhale here.

Exhale.

Let that shit go,

My friend.

Last biggest,

Deepest one here.

Inhale from the bottoms of your feet.

Up your legs,

Your torso,

And now inhale.

Hold at the top.

Inhale.

Five percent more.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Let something go.

Now,

Just notice where your thoughts are in this moment,

My friend.

Now,

Perhaps you can hear the sounds around me,

The rooster's nature,

And allow yourself to be supported,

Embraced by those sounds in the knowing that you are never alone.

No matter what you're navigating right now,

No matter what feels overwhelming,

My friend,

You are not alone.

Breathe into this knowing.

Exhale.

Another deep inhale breath here.

Inhale.

Fill up.

Fill up.

Exhale.

Last biggest,

Deepest one here,

My friend.

Inhale.

Really fill up.

Exhale.

Now,

Let that go.

Come back to those thoughts,

And as you do,

I invite you to imagine those thoughts like chickens running around in front of you,

Scurrying,

Moving just as quickly as your mind,

And those thoughts are in this moment.

Just notice how it feels to watch and witness and behold these thoughts moving so quickly out in front of you,

And then notice as you begin to come into your body,

As you start to breathe a little bit deeper,

That they begin to slow too,

And so do your thoughts,

My friend.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Another big,

Beautiful inhale breath here.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Last biggest,

Deepest one here,

My friend.

Inhale.

Really fill up.

Fill up.

Fill up.

Pause at the top.

Hold here in this pause,

And recognize that these thoughts,

These chickens have paused too.

They've come to a halt,

And when you're ready,

Exhale.

Let that go.

Now notice here in this pause,

In this moment,

In this sweet second,

How does it feel to be right here without those thoughts running around,

Taking over your mental real estate,

Taking over your mind?

Right now,

Right here,

You,

My friend,

You are in control.

Sink a little bit deeper into your heart space now.

Breathe into this place,

This space.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Now,

In your mind's eye,

I invite you to imagine these chickens starting to slowly,

Slowly move out of the way in order to clear space,

In order to create an opening here where you can invite in a feeling.

What is it that you're seeking right now,

My friend?

What is it that you need right here,

Right now?

Take a deep,

Beautiful inhale breath into that feeling.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Another one here.

Inhale.

Notice as you inhale,

That clearing gets wider and wider,

The space in your body starts to grow and expand.

Exhale.

Last,

Biggest,

Deepest one here,

My friend.

Inhale.

Really fill up with that feeling.

What is it that you need right here?

Breathe into it.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Stay with this feeling.

The chickens may come back.

The roosters may begin to crow,

My friend.

There may be distractions,

Other people pulling you in different directions when you come out of this,

But remember that this feeling,

This is your anchor.

This is your true path,

Your true north.

You are stronger than you give yourself credit for,

My friend,

And this right here is proof.

Take one more big,

Beautiful inhale breath in.

Inhale.

Inhale.

Inhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Stay with this peace.

Stay with this pause.

Stay with this feeling,

My friend,

When you're ready and only when you are ready.

Softly,

Slowly open your eyes.

Come back to your day,

Afternoon,

Evening.
