Welcome to this guided meditation.
This practice will help you cultivate gratitude for your body's abilities and strengths.
May you find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
When you're ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Take a couple of deep,
Soothing breaths.
Inhale slowly through your nose,
Feeling your lungs expand.
Exhale fully through your mouth,
Releasing any tension.
A long,
Steady inhale and a slow,
Gentle exhale.
Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Notice how your body becomes more peaceful with each exhale.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest and belly.
Allow any remaining tension to soften and melt away.
Notice the points where your body makes contact with the surface beneath you.
Feel supported and grounded.
With each breath,
Sink a little deeper into this state of tranquility.
Now bring your awareness to your body as a whole.
Notice how it feels to simply exist in this moment.
Without judgment,
Observe the sensations present in your body.
Allow yourself to appreciate your body just as it is right now.
Focus on your feet and legs.
Feel the weight of your feet against the floor or surface beneath you.
Notice any sensations,
Warmth,
Coolness or pressure.
Think about how your feet and legs support you and carry you through each day.
Silently thank them for their strength and capability.
Move your attention to your hips and lower back.
Notice how they feel as you sit or lie down.
Consider how they keep you stable and balanced.
Express gratitude for their constant work and support.
Now bring awareness to your abdomen and chest.
Feel the gentle movement as you breathe.
Appreciate how your lungs and heart work tirelessly to keep you alive.
Thank your body for these automatic processes that sustain you.
Shift your focus to your arms and hands.
Notice their position and any sensations present.
Reflect on all the tasks they perform and the things they allow you to do.
From writing and typing to hugging loved ones,
Offer thanks for their dexterity and usefulness.
Bring your attention to your shoulders and neck.
Notice if there is any tension here and allow it to soften.
Appreciate how these areas support your head and allow for movement.
Thank them for their flexibility and strength.
Finally,
Focus on your head and face.
Feel the weight of your head and the touch of air on your skin.
Acknowledge how they house your senses and allow you to experience the world.
Feel grateful for the unique way you perceive and interact with your surroundings.
Take a moment to appreciate your body as a whole,
Recognizing its resilience and adaptability.
Think about how your body has carried you through various experiences,
Both challenging and joyful.
Allow feelings of acceptance and gratitude to wash over you.
Remember that your body is uniquely yours.
It has its own story,
Its own strengths,
And its own beauty.
Appreciate it for all that it is,
Rather than focusing on what it's not.
Your body is deserving of kindness,
Respect,
And care.
Hold this sense of appreciation for your body.
Allow any negative thoughts or judgments to simply float away.
In this moment,
Choose to embrace and accept your body fully.
Repeat these affirmations silently to yourself.
My body is worthy of love and respect.
I appreciate all that my body does for me.
I accept my body as it is right now.
My body is strong and capable.
I am grateful for my body's ability to heal and grow.
I choose to treat my body with kindness and care.
As this meditation draws to an end,
Take a final deep breath.
Inhale slowly,
Feeling your lungs expand fully.
Exhale completely,
Releasing any remaining tension.
Slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Wiggle your fingers and toes gently,
Reawakening your body.
Roll your shoulders softly if you'd like.
When you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Thank yourself for taking this time to appreciate and accept your body.
May you carry this feeling of gratitude and acceptance with you throughout your day.
As you move forward,
Try to notice and appreciate the many ways your body supports and serves you.
