Welcome,

Whether you're standing,

Sitting or moving through your morning,

You're exactly where you need to be.

This is your moment to release what you don't need and return to yourself.

Take a breath in and let it go.

Notice your jaw,

We hold so much tension here,

Often without realising,

Gently open your mouth and move your jaw from side to side,

And then let it soften.

Move your awareness now to your shoulders,

Roll them back once and now twice.

Feel that,

That's tension that you've been carrying.

As you exhale,

Let your shoulders drop away from your ears,

Imagine that tension melting down your arms and out through your fingertips.

Bring your attention to your breath.

When we sleep,

We stress and when we wake up and rush through our mornings,

Our cortisol builds.

Our nervous system stays activated,

But here's what's remarkable,

Your breath is a direct line to your parasympathetic nervous system.

Each exhale you do signals safety to your body.

Breathe in for four,

Hold for two,

And exhale out for six.

That longer exhale,

That's you telling your body that you're safe,

That you're right where you need to be.

As you continue breathing,

Imagine your root chakra at the base of your spine.

This is your foundation,

Your connection to the earth,

To stability.

With each breath,

Visualise roots growing down from your body into the ground.

You are supported and you are held.

Any anxiety or tension that you're holding releases.

Come back to this moment,

Not the meeting later,

Not the conversation that you need to have.

Just come back to your breath,

To your body,

Just now.

Notice three things that you can sense right now.

That can be the temperature of the air,

A sound nearby,

Or the feeling of the ground beneath your feet.

You are here,

You're grounded,

And you've already grown from where you were five minutes ago.

Carried this sense of calm with you throughout your day.
