Close your eyes and settle in,
Placing your right hand over your heart and your left hand on your lower abdomen.
Doing this mimics the sensation of being held.
It brings a sense of peace to your nervous system and reminds you that you are safe,
You are loved,
And you are protected.
Whenever we are feeling this sensation of fear,
Our basic instinct is to push it away as quickly as possible,
To forget about it,
To ignore it until it's gone.
But really,
When we do this,
We are pushing it under a rug,
But it isn't going away.
In order to support the dissolution of this fear,
We have to walk into the fire and feel the full sensations of that fear.
And so this meditation might not be for everyone,
But if you are ready to face your fear and overcome it,
Then let's continue onward.
In your mind's eye,
Define what it is that you are fearful of right now.
Bring it forward.
Once you have this fear recognized,
See if you can break it down even further.
Get closer to that core,
To that root.
Try to remember the very first time this sensation of fear coming up in your life.
What was going on?
What did you need most in that moment that you didn't necessarily receive?
Now imagine and envision your most aligned and authentic self stepping into that scenario,
Into that situation,
And supporting you in the way that you needed,
Providing that protection,
Providing that confidence,
Standing up for that fearful version of yourself.
How does that feel for you now?
Where in your body are you feeling sensations?
When you are ready,
Allow those sensations to be present at full force.
Feel them fully.
Feel them deeply.
Experience it all in this moment where you are safe,
You are held,
And you are protected.
You may want to open your throat chakra,
You may want to cry,
Yell,
Moan,
Growl.
Fully feel and experience this fear,
Allowing it to be present,
To be seen,
To be out from the shadows.
By welcoming this fear to the table and allowing it to come into the light,
It is able to flow through and be transmuted and processed out.
Stuck emotions must be processed out through the physical,
Through our tears,
Through our words and our sounds,
Through our movements,
Through visualization.
Now see that fear loosening and weakening,
Toning down,
Transforming from the hungry lion to the sleeping kitten.
Go ahead and shift your arms from where they are into a hug.
You are here to support yourself.
You are supporting yourself,
You're supporting your growth and your evolution.
You're showing up,
You're doing the work.
Give yourself a squeeze,
A pat,
A rub on the arm.
You are strong,
You are capable.
You are divinely guided and protected.
And that fear no longer has a hold on you.
Take some intentional breaths through the nose and out the mouth,
Breathing out any last remnants of fear.
Seeing a gray smoke rising out of your mouth and up into the air and disappearing.
And now allow your arms to rest by your sides.
Feeling the lightness and the peace that you've invited in.
You are light.
Feel your lightness.
Feel your shine.
Begin breathing normally again.
And when you're ready,
Begin to bring some small movements to your body.
Touch.
And gently bat your eyes open.
And remember that you can come back to this practice any time that you need it.
Thank you for facing your fears.
Thank you for transmuting your emotion.
Your work is making the world a better place.
