Welcome to a guided meditation on the Kabbalistic Sphira of Yesod.
Yesod is the ninth divine aspect on the tree of life and it is the channel of creation.
So go ahead and find a comfortable place to sit and when you're ready you can gently close the eyes.
And we start by simply feeling the breath.
The breath guides us into presence,
Into the here now,
Allowing us to access wisdom in the body.
And we invite this divine aspect of Yesod into our awareness.
Yesod is often translated as foundation or the base.
This access,
This channel that holds all the energy from above and transmits it into Mechut,
Into creation,
Into the earth.
So it is this channel.
It is not the creator and it is not creation,
But it's the channel by which creator touches creation.
So see if you can become that channel,
This bridge between the upper worlds and the lower worlds,
Between the spiritual and the material.
What is it like to be that channel?
Yesod comes from the Hebrew of sod,
Meaning secret,
And it is connected to the secrets of God,
And it is connected to the secrets of God,
The secrets of life,
Which is the foundational blueprint of creation.
And we can actually only access these secrets through becoming that channel,
This bridge.
This is part of why this Qabbalistic Sfira is associated with the biblical character of Joseph.
Joseph was a dream interpreter and he worked with these realms of insight,
Of spiritual insight,
To provide contacts and understanding to people's lives.
Dreams are one portal of esotericism and mysticism.
It is one way that channel is expressed.
One way we have access to this in-between liminal space of being.
Because Yesod is associated with this channel,
It is the holder of energy.
All of the Sfira from above are flowing down into Yesod,
And Yesod is holding it.
And often Yesod can also be associated with the sexual organ.
It is more identified with the masculine self,
Although of course we all have masculine and feminine parts within us.
So Yesod is a holder of the energy,
It is the charge.
It is allowing things to move through you without needing to respond right away,
But actually taking that pause,
Holding the energy in.
Yesod is associated with our sexuality.
Sexuality is the channel by which these spiritual energies are expressing themselves.
So just like Joseph learned how to work with sexual energy and connect it to the spiritual energy,
Yesod is an invitation to connect these spiritual realms as we harness that energy into our sexual realm.
And the sexuality has become deepened because of our capacity to connect with the spiritual energy.
To hold the energy.
So we don't simply feel an urge or an impulse and act based on it,
But rather we take a moment to hold the energy and the longer we hold the energy,
The deeper the process of creation will be.
So see how it's like to hold this energy.
Perhaps it's easeful,
Perhaps it's challenging.
This is part of why it's a practice,
But we simply allow for ourselves to be with that channel of creation.
What is it like to simply hold energy?
How is creation deepened by that?
Deepened by that.
What happens when we hold energy for some time and then create from there?
How does creation become more potent?
And we can reflect on this in our creative or artistic process as well.
Sometimes we feel an inspiration and we create,
Yet other times we hold on to that inspiration for some time.
We hold that charge,
We hold that impulse,
And then when we create,
It is all that more potent.
It is all that more potent.
So yes,
So does that pause.
That which allows us to have the alignment between the upper and the lower.
That which creates this harmony between the spiritual and the sexual.
So take another moment here to feel this aspect and how it lives in you,
This quality of holding.
Just harvest whatever wisdom wants to be remembered from this practice.
And gently in your own timing,
You can return to the breath.
And to the body.
To the here now.
Gently opening the eyes and taking a moment to reflect on how this meditation shifted something in you.
