This is a guided meditation on the Kabbalistic Sefirah of Tiferet. Tiferet is translated as beauty, balance, and harmony. It is the heart space that connects between all dimensions and directions. Kabbalah teaches that the world is created through 10 emanations or Sefirot that make up the Tree of Life. The Sefirot are also known as Divine Aspects of God that permeates our reality- through our bodies, relationships, and the natural world.

Welcome to a guided meditation on the Qabbalistic Sfira of Tiferet.

So go ahead and find a comfortable place to sit.

If you're holding anything,

You can let it go.

Just gently close the eyes.

We start by just noticing the breath,

The inhale and the exhale.

Just taking a moment to presence ourselves and allowing the breath to guide us.

The body receives wisdom when it's fully rested.

So we start with nourishing our body with the breath,

Clearing out whatever mental thoughts are still there so that we can enter a deeper place of wisdom.

And this is the teaching of Tiferet.

Tiferet comes from the root pe'er,

Which can mean beauty or majesty.

And Tiferet itself is often translated as harmony,

Sometimes balance,

Connection.

It's associated with our hearts,

Just as the heart connects between all the parts of us,

So too does Tiferet.

In the tree of life,

There's three columns,

The right associated with the masculine,

The left associated with the feminine,

And the middle,

Which is the integration.

And Tiferet is in the middle.

It is this balancing force that is connected to most of the spherote on the tree of life.

And just as the heart is directionless,

It's not just connected to one part of us,

But it's connected to all parts.

It's like a 360 view connecting our left and our right and our upper to our lower.

This is the wisdom of Tiferet.

And this is where the harmony comes in.

Because when we are in a space of connection of all directions,

There's beauty that emerges.

And you can imagine it in the body through the ways that the heart is this midpoint.

So we have our right shoulder,

Which is associated with chesed,

And our left shoulder that is associated with kvura.

And then we have Tiferet in the middle,

In the heart.

So take a moment and play with that,

With how when the right shoulder moves,

The left shoulder has to move too,

Actually,

Because they're both connected through the heart.

And we can do the same thing with our legs,

Actually.

Our right hip or right leg is represented by Netzach,

And our left hip or leg is Hod.

And Tiferet harmonizes them both.

So it's that point of harmonizing,

Of connecting through the left and right and the upper and the lower.

So go ahead and feel that in your own body,

The ways that the heart connects to all parts of you.

Perhaps there are visualizations or different geometric shapes that you can see in your mind's eye of the way that Tiferet connects.

And we start by finding it in our bodies,

But actually,

These sfirot are divine aspects that are found throughout the world.

So this Tiferet energy,

This harmonizing,

Balancing force,

Is actually found everywhere.

So see what that feels like,

To really feel from that inside,

That quality of harmony,

Of alignment,

Of balance,

Of balancing opposing forces.

What does that feel like inside?

The wisdom of Tiferet is that because of this connective force of life,

It becomes quite simple to open up.

The heart is most aligned when it's open.

So Tiferet teaches us to open our hearts to this greater harmony.

And it teaches us that there's actually nothing to be afraid of,

Because we're connected to all parts.

There's nothing left behind.

We are in this connective life force,

And our only task is to open to it.

So there's nothing that I need to do or fix,

But it's simply that opening to the harmony that already is.

So just take one more moment here to feel that Tiferet energy inside of you,

Harvesting any wisdom that arises for you,

The ways that Tiferet lives in your life,

And the ways you want to cultivate more of Tiferet.

And gently in your own timing,

Just slowly open the eyes,

Return to the body,

To this ground that is holding us,

Looking around the room,

Just taking a moment to integrate this meditation practice and the wisdom that Tiferet teaches us.

That was fantastic! A dream of a tree brought me here, as well as a deep love of the word, Tiferet, despite knowing very little about Kabbalah. This was a wonderful introduction, and left me with much to reflect on today. Thank you 🙏
