Hello and welcome.
This is a guided meditation on direct experience of God.
So it's not about intellectualizing who God is,
But it's going into the felt experience to discover from there.
So go ahead and find a comfortable place to sit or lie down if that feels more comfortable and gently close the eyes.
And we first start by simply observing the breath.
The breath is always guiding us into presence.
So when we feel lost or scattered or confused,
We can simply return to the breath,
To this in and out,
To this sacred flow.
And we can notice that as we breathe,
Our systems begin to cleanse.
Whatever thoughts we are carrying,
Whatever emotions or sensations,
The breath helps us clear and return into the here and now.
And as we are breathing,
We invite this being called God to appear in our awareness.
And there's no need to think about it or to expect anything.
But just notice what happens when you bring the presence of God.
Perhaps at first there is resistance.
So we allow the breath to come in and out.
And we allow the breath to cleanse us just through focusing on the in and out.
And we want to come to terms with our relationship to Creator.
God has many names,
And one of them is the infinite.
So perhaps it's simpler to imagine your relationship to the infinite.
So we imagine ourselves as limited,
Finite beings.
Yet inside of us,
We have this limitless potential,
This spark of the light of God that allows us to return to our soul's true nature.
Your system is relating to God as the infinite.
So see what experiences are alive in you when the presence of God is near.
Perhaps there is tingling sensation in the body.
Perhaps the soul has been awakened.
Perhaps there's fear or nervousness.
Whatever it may be,
We simply notice and we maintain this intention of experiencing God directly.
What does it mean to not think about God,
But actually feel God?
God is not something that is outside of us,
But actually it's within us.
It's through us.
So see if you can imagine that light moving throughout your body from the inside.
This beautiful,
Holy light moving from your feet and your legs to your belly,
Your arms,
Your head,
Letting it wash all over you.
What is this sensation of God?
Allow yourself to bask in this energy,
Not needing to understand or to think about it,
But simply being with it.
What does it look like to be here with God?
So take another moment here to allow for this exploration,
Inviting whatever wants to come up to come up and just take a moment to also harvest whatever wisdom was gained through this practice.
What wants to be remembered?
What wants to be cherished?
Just taking a moment and imprinting it in your consciousness.
And as you're ready,
You may slowly open the eyes,
Gently stretch the fingers and the toes,
Look around the room,
Returning to this moment in time and taking a moment to feel the impacts of this meditation.
