Welcome to this guided meditation on the Qabbalistic Sfira of Chokhmah.
So we start by simply finding a comfortable place to sit and gently closing the eyes and allowing the breath to guide us into presence.
Just being with that inhale and the exhale.
Noticing how this flow of inhale and exhale calms our body and we welcome the Sfira,
The divine aspect of Chokhmah.
It is the second Sfira on the tree of life coming after Keter.
Keter is the Ensof,
The infinite,
The nothingness,
The beyond,
The beyond.
And it is the access,
Direct access to God.
And Chokhmah,
Often translated as wisdom or intellect,
Is the bridge between the infinite and the finite.
It's where the process of creation through the mental sphere begins.
And when we say mental sphere,
We don't mean the human mind,
But the divine mind.
So before creation occurs,
There is the blueprint of it.
Just like an architect,
Before they build the building,
They actually design through the realms of knowledge how this building will be built.
So Chokhmah and later Bina together represent this mental realm of creation.
And it is in the God mind,
The divine mind,
The divine wisdom that is all pervasive in all of creation.
Chokhmah is the masculine sign,
While Bina is the feminine one.
And in Kabbalah,
The difference between masculine and feminine is in the energy structure.
So the masculine is like a point that is condensed and filled with charge and energy,
While the feminine is the expansion and the dimensionality of that energy.
So in Chokhmah,
We are talking about this point of knowledge.
Sometimes we can think of it like that Big Bang that actually started with this condensed charge of creation and then later expanded.
The Chokhmah is that condensation.
It is this spark of insight,
A download,
A channeling of wisdom directly.
And perhaps you know this from your creative life.
Before you begin a project or an art piece,
There is this spark of inspiration that guides the project.
Before the project comes to be,
There is that moment of insight,
Of inspiration,
Of wisdom.
And that is Chokhmah.
It's this pointed reality of knowledge.
It is sharp.
It is condensed.
In a small space,
It is full of energy.
So see if you can feel that in your own system,
This quality of wisdom that arises spontaneously in this flash of inspiration.
Being on the masculine end,
It almost has this penetrative quality to it.
It starts a whole new field by penetrating the space with divine wisdom.
It is that space of creation that begins through that mental paradigm.
So see what your relationship is to Chokhmah.
To this sharp intellect that is connected to the divine mind.
This ray of inspiration,
Of creation.
The point of consciousness.
How do you relate to this aspect in your own being?
All of the Kabbalistic Spherot,
The divine aspects,
They are elements that are in all of creation.
So they are in the world,
In nature,
In relationships,
And also in the self.
And we can find them in all sorts of ways.
But in this practice,
We are going to focus on finding it through our own body,
Our own energy and our own consciousness.
How is Chokhmah,
How is this intellect moving through you?
And again,
This is not the human mind or the ego mind,
But it's divine consciousness itself.
Wisdom is actually living through you.
It is not something outside of you that you must seek.
But it is a space inside of you that you have to find.
So take another moment here and see if you can find that direct relationship to Chokhmah,
To this point of consciousness,
Point of knowledge,
Point of the intellect.
And see how it feels in your body.
Perhaps it's comfortable.
Perhaps it's a stretch.
Whatever it may be today,
We simply welcome.
So take another moment here and feel that energy of Chokhmah living in you and harvest whatever wisdom wants to be remembered from this meditation.
And gently in your own timing,
Return to the breath,
To the body,
Gently opening the eyes and taking a moment here to notice what has shifted in you through this meditation.
