Welcome.
This is a guided meditation on grounding down during the new moon.
It's so easy to become ungrounded.
By taking the time to sit in meditation,
We can train our bodies to reconnect a little easier.
The process of grounding down is important to our ability to fully align with the new moon.
During the new moon,
The sky goes dark,
So you can go with it.
You can imagine the fertile earth ready for new growth.
The new moon is when we plant the seeds that we want to see flourish.
We can do this with ease once we learn how to ground down.
Take a moment to feel your seat on your cushion or your feet on the floor.
Find a long spine that supports your head and neck.
Gently close your eyes.
Feel into the support that is always accessible.
Begin to cultivate an awareness of your breath in your belly.
Focus on lengthening your inhales and exhales.
Let your stomach rise and fall.
Take note of the spaces between the cycles of breath.
Allow these spaces to become longer and more intentional.
Start to imagine your body is resting in the palm of a flower.
Visualize the petals,
The color,
The aroma of this flower.
Allow your body to sink and rest.
Maybe the edges of the flower curl in and gently brush over your skin.
Imagine that at the center of the flower,
Right underneath you,
A long stem starts to grow down.
Picture this stem rooting into the earth,
Connecting you to being grounded with a force similar to gravity.
Acknowledge what it feels like to feel supported and held,
All the while feeling grounded by the same energies at play.
Start to contemplate what being grounded means to you.
To be grounded is to never be alone.
To always feel guided.
To deeply know you are being taken care of.
And to feel connected to your body and your breath.
By becoming grounded in yourself,
You open yourself up to moving through life with ease.
You radiate calm.
You easily let go of what is ready to move away from you.
And you easily welcome what arrives.
It's in this process of ease that manifestation becomes natural.
You notice how simple the process of planting seeds becomes.
Your dreams and goals begin to formulate and grow right in front of your eyes.
And your heart and mind feel a little bit more settled.
So come back to your visualization of grounding down in the flower.
Sink into that a little bit more.
Spend a few breaths just enjoying the feeling of centering and of grounding down.
And know that from here you can plant the seeds of your intentions and manifestations.
Begin to come back to your awareness.
Feel your seat on the earth.
Notice the space that you are in.
In your own time,
Invite mindful movement to your body.
Take a moment to connect your mind with your body and your heart.
Pull your palms to a prayer to seal in your practice.
Namaste.
Thank you.
