During this meditation,
We'll be strengthening the trust within ourselves and beyond by connecting to our true nature.
This is a practice.
The more we trust ourselves in this process,
The easier it gets.
To settle in,
Find a comfortable way of being.
Whether you're in a seated position on the floor or a chair,
Maybe you're lying down flat on the ground,
This is your moment.
This is your time,
Your space,
And your breath.
I know what you need more than you,
So I invite you to tune in to your own needs and your own desires as we move along.
Take a deep breath,
Inhale through your nose,
And slowly exhale through the mouth.
Find the natural rhythm of your own breath here.
With each breath,
You can feel yourself relaxing deeper and deeper,
Welcoming the stillness and moments of inner peace.
Throughout our lifetime,
We have an enormous amount of decisions that must be made,
Small decisions that feel easy and obvious,
And big decisions that may feel difficult and even scary.
We may question what guides us to make certain decisions,
And how do we know if we've made the correct one?
It is our instinct and our intuition which guides us.
The more we trust in this intuition,
The more confident we become in our decision-making process.
We can practice trusting ourselves by expressing our own gratitude for our past decisions that brought us to this moment.
For instance,
Feeling grateful for the decision to take 10 minutes to pause for this practice of self-nourishment.
Now take a moment to consider a decision that you may be avoiding,
Or maybe a decision that you've made and still feel unsure about if it was the right choice.
Notice this weight that you're carrying around,
And without passing judgment,
Allow it to fully bubble up.
And as you sit with this heaviness,
And perhaps with a sense of self-doubt,
I invite you to focus once again on your breath,
Taking a deep inhale through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
With each breath,
Feel yourself releasing any of this tension.
Take the time to instill a trust in where you are right now,
And say to yourself,
Either aloud or silently,
I can trust my decisions.
I trust my inner being.
I trust my intuition.
I have faith in who I am.
Even if I fall,
I will learn.
I believe in my ability to create the life I desire.
You have the permission to trust your decisions,
And you have the power within to make a choice for yourself,
Just like a baby bird trusting itself to take its first flight from the nest.
He must take a leap of faith,
Knowing that he might not know what he's doing,
Knowing that he can't stay in this nest forever.
He trusts his intuition,
His timing,
His efforts,
His ability to persevere,
And then he leaps.
He flies.
And over time,
He soars.
Trust yourself and who you are.
Trust that you can fly.
Take these last few breaths to thank yourself for showing up in this practice.
