This meditation is focused around feeling the grief of loss and allowing the healing process to unfold.
So settle in,
Find a comfortable way of being,
Whether it's laying down,
Sitting in a chair,
Or on the ground.
And let your eyes come to a close or a soft gaze as you take the deepest breath that you've taken all day,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
A few more here,
Going deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation.
Grief is a natural human emotion that arises in the response to loss.
It can be a painful and difficult experience,
One that can leave us feeling overwhelmed and alone,
Yet it's a necessary part of the healing process,
Allowing us to process our emotions and come to terms with our loss.
So as we begin here today,
Let's first take a moment to acknowledge the pain that we might be feeling.
It's important to allow ourselves to feel the full range of emotions without judging or trying to suppress or change them.
We may feel sadness,
Anger,
Or even confusion,
And that's okay.
Simply sit with these emotions,
Allowing yourself to experience them fully.
This is your moment and your safe place to just allow the emotions to bubble up.
You may find yourself reliving memories of a loved one or imagining different scenarios that could have prevented your loss.
And when this happens,
Gently bring your attention back to the present moment,
Focusing on your breath and the sensations within your body.
Feel the breath traveling through your body.
It's important to remember here that grief is a process,
And there's no right way to experience it.
Some days may be harder than others,
And that's okay.
Be gentle with yourself and practice self-compassion and self-care as you navigate this difficult time.
Breathe in and out.
Breathe in through your nose and out.
You may even start to do this more audibly so you can hear the sound of your own breath.
Inhale and exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
Take a moment here to express gratitude for the time that you did have with your loved one.
And while their physical presence may be gone,
Their memory and impact on your life will continue to live on.
Embrace this memory in your heart that we are not alone in our grief,
In our pain,
In our loneliness,
And that at any point,
We can access this place of stillness by taking a moment to focus and anchor yourself in your breath.
May this moment bring you comfort and healing as you navigate the complex emotions of grief and loss.
And I invite you to put your hands on your heart,
Feeling your heart beat.
Thank you for joining me here today at the mindful moment.
Namaste.
