Slowly begin to sink into this moment,

Maybe closing your eyes if that feels alright,

Or find a soft gaze looking down or out front,

Arriving in a position that feels peaceful.

Maybe you're seated or you're laying down,

Finding stillness and comfort wherever you choose to land.

Begin to allow your breath to fill your lungs with each inhale and exhale,

Allowing yourself to fully arrive in this present moment.

Inhaling in and exhaling out,

Really grounding into everything this moment is,

Allowing the feeling of overwhelm,

Anxiety to release with each breath,

Imagining it as it dissolves out of your muscles,

Out of your joints,

Out of the spaces that tend to get ignored,

The space right under your skull,

In between your eyebrows,

The sides of your glutes,

Your elbows,

Softening in with each breath.

Overwhelm is not always a bad feeling,

Often it's a warning sign from your body that you need to slow down,

That you need to rest,

To take a break,

And just be inhaling in and exhaling as you soften further.

It makes sense that you're overwhelmed.

It makes sense that you're feeling anxious.

Allow yourself the space to validate your own feelings.

It makes sense that I'm overwhelmed.

It makes sense.

Learn to recognize when you're starting to feel overwhelmed.

Use this signal to pause,

To breathe deeper,

To reconnect with your inner knowing,

Asking the question,

What areas of my life are the most overwhelming?

What areas of my life are the most overwhelming?

Inhaling in,

Filling up your lungs,

Exhaling and letting it all go.

When you feel overwhelmed,

Reflect on what choices you can make next to make things easier to manage.

How can you approach things so that you can feel calmer,

So that you can feel more in control?

And what would that feel like?

What would it feel like to be at peace,

Really breathing into that question,

Allowing your body to feel the sensation of peace,

Allowing yourself the space to be at peace?

What would it feel like to be at peace,

Remembering that you are allowed to take a break,

That it's okay to slow down even when you feel like you have a million things going on?

You are so worthy of a break.

You have worked so hard.

You are worthy of time to slow down and be with yourself.

You don't need to have everything figured out right now.

Just be in this moment,

Connecting with your breath,

Taking a deep in-breath,

Filling up your entire being and opening your mouth,

Letting go of all the remaining tension.

One more time,

Inhaling in and opening your mouth,

Letting it all go.

You are more capable than you know.

Coming back to your breath,

To the natural rhythm of your breathing,

Bringing your awareness back to this moment,

To the feeling of the seat beneath you,

Or the bed,

And just feeling your breath as it moves through your body,

As it creates the space for the tension,

For the overwhelm,

The anxiety,

To just slip through,

To release,

To soften,

Allowing yourself one more intentional inhale and exhale.

Thank you for this meditation, Rylee. I really appreciated the space you held for me to not only acknowledge but validate what I was feeling. I also appreciated the self reflection prompts. Your meditation was helpful. Much gratitude. πŸ™πŸ½
