Good morning and welcome to your daily meditation practice.
This meditation is perfect for your daily morning routine,
Allowing gratitude and calm into your day from the moment you wake up.
So beginning our meditation,
Coming into a comfortable seated position,
Grinding down through our sitting bones and making sure our spine is nice and long,
Letting go of any tension in the neck or the face.
Coming into our bodies after a long night of sleep and even if you didn't have the best sleep that's okay.
Doing this to start your morning will help you release any of the negative energy that you might have had throughout your night.
So beginning to deepen your inhales and your exhales.
On our inhales deepening our breath into our belly and then on our exhales fully releasing.
On our inhales we're breathing in new air of a new day and on our exhales we're releasing all of the stagnant energy.
Inhaling fresh new air going straight to our cells and on our exhales can you release the stagnant energy that no longer serves you.
Simply just spending a few moments sitting with yourself becoming aware of your breath.
Our breath is our life force,
Our prana.
So much power lies within our breath.
Simply returning our focus to our breath in the mornings and as much as we can throughout our day will bring us back into the present moment.
Now letting go of that awareness of the breath.
We're going to come into a few moments of gratitude.
Gratitude is such an important emotion to cultivate every day within us but often it's so easy to forget.
It's so easy to focus on everything we don't have and forget everything we do.
So as we sit here this morning maybe just take a moment to become aware of how lucky we are that we got to wake up this morning.
That we get to take this time to come back to ourselves before we start our day.
That we get to sit in a safe room or a safe space.
The fact that we have a device to listen to this on.
As we sit and cultivate gratitude within us perhaps take a few moments to list your own personal thing that you were grateful for.
Maybe one to three things you can simply just list in your head and then try to feel that gratitude in your heart.
Things don't have to be crazy,
Incredible things.
Little things add up to a lot.
Maybe you could just be grateful for a friend or exercise,
The ocean,
Anything,
Literally anything.
The more we are grateful for the more it will sink into our lives and then the bad things won't seem so bad.
Now letting those things that we are grateful for simply just wash over our body and let them go.
Turning back to those deep inhales and exhales.
We are going to spend the last moments of this meditation with a really simple visualization practice.
So as we sit here I want you to think about the day that you are about to have today.
All of the things you need to do,
Maybe you need to go to work or to exercise.
Maybe you are catching up with a friend or whatever may be coming for you today.
Start to imagine your day playing in your head and envision the best possible day ever.
Don't get carried away in the little details but simply just visualize how you would like your day to play out today.
How you would like to feel.
The things that you want to achieve.
Maybe bring a smile to your lips as you do this.
And as you come to the end of your day can you imagine yourself lying in bed feeling the emotions of a really beautiful day that has been before you.
Know that you have the power to create a beautiful day for yourself every day.
Through meditation and gratitude no matter what we are going through we can find stillness and beauty among the chaos.
Now letting that visualization go and simply being with your body.
Take a moment to thank yourself for taking this time out this morning to connect back to your breath to be still,
To cultivate calmness,
Gratitude.
Know that so much power lies within you.
I hope you have an amazing day.
