That you see when we say a talk of the tradition,
We have few minutes before we begin.
So we have,
Now when we say tradition,
So what happens?
Have you ever asked a question that we have more than 3000 texts?
That is only 30% of the text that we could save.
The rest 70% were destroyed by the invaders.
That includes the Alexander,
The great who invaded India,
And then the Muslim invaders.
But anyhow,
Leave that part.
So how you think that tradition continued and the knowledge was preserved?
So we had the four centers in India,
The four corners.
So they are known as the big monasteries.
And the head of that monastery is Shankaracharya.
So you know,
It is known as a Shankaracharya,
The label,
The position,
The head.
So these four monasteries divided the entire literature into four parts.
And everyone continues teaching those texts and the teaching.
Now see that after a few years,
You are the headmaster,
And then you go for a pilgrimage that used to take 12 years in those days.
Now it doesn't take 12 years.
So now see after visiting,
Having a pilgrimage of all the entire India,
You are returning to your monastery.
So there was a need felt that no teacher is there.
That no teacher is there.
So one teacher is appointed in that monastery.
Now the main head was informed.
So he's on the pilgrimage.
So wherever he lives in,
He was at that point in India,
He stayed there.
He need not to fight with that head,
The new head.
Say 2000 miles,
He was away from his monastery and he heard that there was another head appointed.
No issue.
So he built another monastery in Ashram where he got this information.
And he started,
He continues his teaching.
There was no fight at all.
So now that tradition,
I would say,
Being corrupted.
You know,
Some people want to have that label.
I had couple of those labels and I removed all those labels.
So you had those labels.
So in that way,
Now see what happens.
So one name,
Shankara.
So Shankara was the very first,
Possibly in seventh century.
I think Lara will know it.
I'm recording the audio.
That is very important for you.
So what happens?
Now there is a one common name,
Shankara.
So you will find that more than,
Maybe more than 100 texts are authored by the Shankara.
So for example,
Lara went for a pilgrimage and she was informed that now the head of the monastery has changed.
So Lara also became one of the Shankara and she wrote a book.
And the book is known to be authored by the Shankara.
Your original name is lost.
What we are doing in our own country,
Best selling author,
I am.
So Shankara is a common name.
Shankara is a common name who authored many books.
It does not mean it is the same person.
It is not the same person who has reached to that highest knowledge,
Who is named as Shankara.
That is what the tradition is.
So that knowledge remained available all the time.
That is the beauty of this tradition.
I just came to my mind that I thought that so wherever you are as a teacher,
You convey that message which you learn from the tradition.
So we will go a little deeper into this sutra klesha karma vipak asha e param rastraha purushveshe ishwara So in the two weeks ago,
Patanjali says,
You can also meditate on Ishvara,
The God,
But here it is not the God of an organized religion.
It is not the God of an organized religion.
So he defines the God,
What he do,
How he defines the God.
He makes us understand.
The next sutra will blow your mind that we will take up next week.
So here he says,
Klesha karma vipak klesha means affliction,
Klesha karma vipak means the fruits of an action,
Asha means accumulation of those past impressions in our mind,
Aap param rastraha Here he says untouched.
How many times we fought with our honey.
The moment I said this or anyone or your friend or your parents,
Do you still have those impressions?
Yes,
I still have those impressions.
I feel pain.
You know,
Many people talk,
We normally talk,
Oh,
10 years ago during the childhood,
I was abused and then I still carry that trauma.
We talk a lot about this in our country.
So what is one definition of this God?
He is untouched by no accumulation of any past impressions.
No accumulation,
He is totally free.
He is not seeking the fruits of an action and he is not suffering at all.
And then purushvesh ishvarah Ishvara is one name given to the God,
But purushvesh,
He's a spatial being.
Why he's a spatial being?
Why I'm not a spatial being?
That we need to understand it,
Understand clearly.
What is our first person experience?
We feel pain,
We feel pleasure,
We feel sorrow.
We are happy at one time,
Attached at different time,
Deluded at third time.
Today you are my honey and after a few years,
I lost that honey,
I have second honey and the third honey.
Why this happens?
Have we ever asked ourselves?
That is what our first person experience because we are attached.
We feel ourselves limited.
Why we feel ourselves limited?
Because we do not know who we are.
So what should be our goal of life?
I should know who am I?
And then the master Patanjali says,
You are Ishvara.
If conditional,
Where is that first condition?
That are you free from the ego?
What is ego?
Ego is limited.
Ego limits us.
Ego means that I exclude the entire world from myself.
Take this example.
I exclude completely myself from the world.
That is that makes that,
You know,
That creates some ego.
So first,
First condition free from ego.
Second is I'm not seeking the fruits of an action.
Does the earth sends you the bill because you are staying on the earth?
Does the space sends you the bill?
And I'm not talking of municipality.
I'm not talking of the township.
Does the air sends you the bill?
Why you are breathing me?
So the master is hinting the same way we should perform all of our karma.
The more karma action,
The more karma that you do free from desiring the fruits of an action and free from the ego,
The life,
Trans,
Then what happens?
I just talked about spatial person.
That spatial person,
Spatial being is Ishvara.
So I become the Ishvara.
No,
I am already,
But I do not know.
I am an ignorance.
So what should I do?
I must have the right knowledge.
Simply we say,
If I don't know what we say,
I don't know.
So what is the solution?
Let me know it.
This is what the master is saying.
So why Ishvara?
Ishvara is a spatial being.
So here other masters explain that spatial being is free from affliction,
Klesha,
What are the five kleshas?
Lack of awareness of reality.
And then it causes ego that is known as Asmita.
Asmita causes attachment and detachment.
And it leads to Abhinivesha,
The extreme clinging to the body.
If I'm clinging to the body,
Then I'm an individual.
If I'm not clinging to the body,
Then what happens?
Let me understand,
I should understand clearly and separate myself from where I am attached.
I enter into the status of a spatial being.
Let me answer another question that why I am suffering,
If I am potentially Ishvara?
Can you answer that?
Because we are not aware of the potential that real self is of the nature of permanent peace and happiness,
Love and wisdom,
I do not know.
So when I do not know then,
But I am in need of the love,
But I do not know I am the love,
So what I will do?
I will ask you all,
Can you love me so that I can also love you?
So I enter into seeking something,
From where?
From outside.
So I see you,
I like you,
And I say,
I love you,
But you say,
I am also suffering from,
I don't have love.
So I'm seeking love from the person outside who doesn't know what the love and the peace is,
How it is possible.
That is why I give an example of fast dating,
Then we become soulmate after a few months,
That mercury of the physical pleasure goes down,
Then the emotional and mental differences arise,
Then we become a soulmate,
Then we find out.
So what the master,
What I'm answering?
Why I'm suffering if I'm potentially that real self because of ignorance?
The entire journey of meditation,
Yoga,
Is to remove your ignorance.
Where lies the ignorance?
Ignorance lies in the mindlessly,
In you,
In your mind.
What should we do?
We should practice meditation daily,
Regularly.
I was just talking to Stephen,
The Stephen and Sam,
They talk to each other,
They communicate on these principle.
Let us discuss about these principles.
Consciously you talk about it.
You see that,
You see the difference between the science,
The approach of the science.
I have anxiety,
So you know,
So you know 10 years ago I had this incident and then I entered into this test.
Every time you talk about this.
So what will happen?
You are accumulating these impressions again and again.
I'm not going against that Lara.
Whatever is your profession,
I'm not going against.
Now see you are talking of peace and happiness.
It is well established principle,
Which is almost 6,
000 years old.
You start talking how peace is,
If peace is my essential nature,
Challenge your mind.
Why I am having an anxiety?
Why I am angry?
Why I am agitated?
Become angry over your anxiety tension.
Challenge it.
No,
We don't challenge it.
Who doesn't live in stress in modern life during COVID-19?
You see,
We become a philosopher with negative attitude in the mind.
And that causes lot of problems.
So here this principle comes to the,
If it goes to the mind,
Then you find out,
Oh,
What a beauty.
So what should we do?
That is why we talk.
That is why the teachers always in that tradition talks on the principles already taught for the last 6,
000 years.
Why?
These principles are never changing principles.
But why?
Because that real self is never changing entity within all of us.
So what is never changing,
Their principles will also be never changing.
So there you see,
You cannot compare science with the Eastern wisdom,
Principles of the Eastern wisdom.
Scientists says,
Matter consists of atom.
At 100 years ago,
Did the matter not consist of electron,
Proton and neutron?
Yes,
It was there.
But the scientists were not,
They did not know it.
Are you understanding what I'm saying?
They did not know it.
So they removed the ignorance.
They said atom consists of electron,
Proton and neutron.
You see the meaning of the letter?
The meaning of the Latin word atom?
It will blow your mind.
It simply says indivisible.
Now they have divided the same atom into electron,
Proton and neutron.
Not only this,
I think Daniel know that this atom consists of more than 32 particles.
And the latest understanding that this wave is acting,
This particle acts as a wave.
So there comes the quantum physics.
Now tell me the same matter,
It was present 100 years ago,
Did not consist of these electron,
Proton and neutron?
Did they change?
So progress of the science means I remove ignorance.
Scientists remove ignorance.
Progressively,
Step by step.
But when we talk of the real self,
Real self remains the real self.
Whether it was 10,
000 years ago or it is now.
So the Eastern wisdom and their principles are still relevant.
Now we go a little deeper.
That formless,
That Isha,
That God,
If we use this word or real self is formless.
Real self is formless.
Why it is formless?
That is how it can be omni-si-hind.
That is how it can be omni-present.
If I say the God,
Kingdom of God is within you and the God is within you,
And God has some shape in the form,
Maybe like the shape in the form of a Daniel,
So how the Daniel can enter into my heart,
That does not make a sense.
So you see the Patanjali says that real self is formless.
Do I feel that I'm formless?
I've already realized that.
Why I don't feel I'm formless?
Because I live in ignorance.
So what should I do?
I should remove the ignorance.
How to remove the ignorance?
By studying these principles and doing the regular practice.
See that?
Very,
100% clear.
So what it says,
That real self is of the nature of consciousness and that consciousness has everlasting,
Never changing attribute of love.
So love is within me.
Of permanent happiness,
That happiness is within me.
I am peace and I am happiness.
I may suffer from anxiety and distress,
But my nature is,
Means I am peace and happiness.
I am peace and happiness.
So it is that real self is formless,
Formless.
So now see that,
You know,
I remember one another traditional text.
I used to do it regularly.
I did it almost for six,
Seven years.
Now what he says,
What that text is.
It is from the Mandu kid and it is a part of the Upanishad.
So what it says and then I will literally translate.
Ya devi sarva bhoote shu shanti rupi insan sthita Namastasyaee,
Namastasyaee,
Namastasyaee,
Namo Namo.
Namo,
Now see the literal meaning.
So the seeker is addressing to the goddess.
What he's addressing,
Oh goddess,
You are present deep inside my heart as permanent peace.
That is why I am doing Namaste,
Namaste,
Namaste to you.
Namaste to you.
Where you are seated deep inside my heart.
And what I'm doing,
I am doing Namaste,
Namaste,
Namaste.
So what is the meaning of Namaste here?
Namaha,
Not me.
When I am not,
Then you are present.
So what is this I am not?
This is the ego.
What ego does?
It makes me limited.
I am the body.
I am the breath.
I am the mind.
I am the teacher.
As Brandy was saying that I was the teacher of David and Jerry.
I told her that I will also become your student.
Maybe I'll have a better chance.
You see that?
Now see another.
Ya Devi Sarva Bhooteshu Kanti Roopenu Sansthita.
Oh goddess,
You are seated deep inside my heart as a glow,
As a brightness,
As a wisdom.
That is why I'm doing Namaste,
Namaste,
Namaste to you.
What it means,
Where your mind goes.
When you are reciting this,
Your mind goes deeper inside because that goddess is seated in you.
Nothing is outside.
Ya Devi Sarva Bhooteshu Bhooteshu Kanti Roopenu Sansthita.
Oh goddess,
You are seated deep inside my heart as wisdom,
As knowledge.
So I have to reveal that knowledge within me.
That is the entire journey of yoga and meditation.
See that?
It becomes very clear to us what exactly we are searching.
Ya Devi Sarva Bhooteshu,
There is a long mantra.
Om Namo Devyaee Maha Devyaee Sivaaiyai Satatam Namo.
Namo Prakriti Bhadraaiyai Niyata Pranatthasmatam Bhadraaiyai Namo Netyaai Goriai Dhatraai Namo.
It's a very long recitation.
Consists of almost 70 or 80 lines.
So when you are doing it,
Reciting it,
And every time you go with that meaning,
And the meaning directs your mind deep inside the heart,
You enter into the silence.
That is another way of meditating.
The mind is not running after.
So every practice,
The way it has been discovered and created,
Only one goal,
Remove the ignorance.
What is that ignorance?
What ignorance does?
It makes me limited being.
What is that limited being?
I am son,
I am father,
I am daughter,
I am American,
I am African.
This all pertains to the body.
And when the mind totally sits in the body,
It covers that knowledge.
It covers,
It wails my real self.
So I have to break this bondage by listening to the principles,
Reflecting on the principles and regular practice.
That is what master says,
What he says.
Shravanam,
I do not know,
Let me know it.
Second point,
I do not understand,
Let me understand,
Leslie.
Don't leave anything,
Doubt.
You have right to ask the question first to your mind that what you want to know.
And then to the teacher,
Learning these principles,
Reflecting on it and then regular practice.
We'll talk next week that will help you and also blow your mind.
But if you keep that knowledge all the time with you,
There is another way to define and understand this God.
But just,
You know,
It came to my mind.
Normally when we say the,
We use the God,
We say there should be six attributes,
Complete splendor.
Splendor,
One,
Virtue,
Two,
Glory,
Three,
Opulence,
Four,
Knowledge,
Five,
Dispassion,
Six.
If you have all these six attributes with you,
You are there.
Where?
You have discovered the real self.
That's another way.
There are many ways.
Let us start our journey and we will practice meditation now and then we will share our experiences.
Eyes are closed.
Eyes are closed.
So whose eyes are closed?
Yours.
Sometimes we do not,
Even our eyes are closed,
But the mind through the eyes are making lot of effort to picturize,
To imagine the stuff outside.
That is not closing the eyes.
You have to maintain awareness.
You are aware.
You look at the body,
You feel the body.
The body is in the state of steadiness.
You feel that?
Yes.
And in that state,
The mind is facing within.
Why I closed my eyes?
Why I'm doing the practice?
Remind your mind.
I want to know who am I?
Why I'm saying so?
Now you all are seekers.
It is important to remind.
In the beginning,
What happens?
You know,
Your mind is going somewhere.
I have to settle a score with that guy.
When your mind is thinking like this in meditation,
The mind is already outside.
Make clear.
Tell the mind,
I want to know who am I and that I am because I have understood that real I is pure consciousness supported by permanent happiness,
Love,
Truth,
Wisdom.
Truth,
Wisdom.
You see that?
When the mind is inspired.
So some new ones have joined our session,
So we will pick up for a while.
And even those who are seekers,
They follow this,
They deepen the practice.
That is the beauty of the journey.
So be comfortable.
How you become comfortable?
You look at the neck joint.
Who looks?
Mind.
What do you feel?
Sensation,
Being comfortable and steadiness.
What is behind the experience of sensation,
Being comfortable and steadiness?
It is space inside.
Where I see the space,
I have to remove that ignorance.
But the journey continues.
Look at the shoulder joints.
Mind is going to the shoulder joints.
You know,
Sometimes what happens when I say look at the shoulder joint,
Some people start moving the shoulders.
So I make it clear.
What is clear?
You need not to move the shoulders to the mind,
But the mind should move to the shoulder.
And there you find sensation,
Being comfortable and steadiness.
Hip joint,
Feeling the sensation,
Being comfortable,
Steadiness,
And looking deep inside.
The entire body,
The mind moves on the entire body,
On all the joints of the body.
My master used to say that when you move the mind on all the joints,
Actually you are removing what the subconscious impressions accumulated in the body.
And that makes your body steady.
There are many ways to express.
So the body is comfortable and steady,
And the mind continues to look within in that state.
Let us follow the nyasa,
The all round purification of the mind.
So start breathing little deep,
Silent and slow.
You are breathing not very deep to make your mind anxious,
Not very short,
So that the mind falls into sleep.
So you are navigating on a razors edge,
Neither falling into unconsciousness so that it can invite lot of past thoughts,
Nor excited.
In a normal,
Check the flow of the breath,
It is definitely deeper.
So once you have achieved that,
So consider the breath is your car,
Your vehicle,
Mind is the driver.
That is why you are doing deep silent slowly.
And the highway is the space inside,
And om,
Pointing to the goal,
Destination.
Destination.
So what should we do?
As you inhale,
Move the mind inside the right arm from the shoulder to the fingertips,
In the space inside singing om.
So inhale and singing from the shoulder to the fingertips,
And now you exhale,
The mind is moving from the fingertips to the shoulder,
Reciting and listening to that om,
Your own recitation in the space.
And see,
If it becomes a natural flow,
Not only of the breath,
But of the mind,
What will happen?
The mind will go deeper and deeper.
First time we'll discover this is the way to move the mind within.
I appreciate you all,
That's a beautiful,
Yes,
Continue.
And now move the mind inside the left arm.
You know why there is so much of importance given to the teacher in the tradition?
It appears,
But fact is that the seeker is the most important.
And second point,
Continue with the left arm,
The same way as the mind goes,
As the breath goes in,
The mind moves inside the left arm with recitation and listening.
You see the second point that why the importance is given so that you maintain your awareness,
You are listening to the teacher,
Teacher teaches the principles not to your mind,
That teaches you how to be anxious and reactive and angry.
And now moving the mind inside the right leg.
It's not because of some importance,
It's because of a purpose,
That is the key.
Now moving inside the left leg in the highway,
Reciting a lot of things to be understood.
There is recitation means you are singing without any musical instruments outside.
You don't take the help and you don't pay attention to the meters and the way it has to be sung.
Your attention is on the meaning.
See that?
That is known as recitation.
And now moving the mind and the breath inside the spine from the crown of the head to the tailbone,
Reciting and listening.
We are preparing a very strong background for the next step.
We are preparing a very strong background for the next step.
And now leave this breathing,
Do nothing,
Remain as you are,
Recheck the body is in the state of sensation,
Relaxation and stillness.
The breath flows naturally.
You have not to alter the rate and the rhythm of the breath now.
Keep your mind deep inside the heart or the head,
Whatever is easy for you or your liking.
We will use the same mantra again in the first stage,
Recitation and listening.
Sarvesham swestervavatu You're mentally saying,
Sarvesham swestervavatu Sarvesham swestervavatu In the second stage,
We go with the meaning.
As I just,
You know,
As I just explained,
Yadevi sarvabhute shushanti rubenasasthita Oh,
Goddess,
You are seated deep inside my heart as permanent peace.
That is why I,
So that is more or less the same.
So in the second stage,
We go with the meaning.
What is the meaning?
May there be wellbeing in all.
Wellbeing is a state of consciousness.
Sarvesham swestervavatu Sarvesham swestervavatu Sarvesham swestervavatu Sarvesham swestervavatu Sarvesham swestervavatu Svarvatthu,
Svarvatthu,
Svarvatthu.
Every time you are reciting,
You are listening with the meaning and the mind goes deeper inside inside and then it is absorbed in the third stage,
Singing,
Reciting,
Listening,
Meaning and the applied knowledge.
What is applied knowledge?
What is your name and you say,
Jerry,
David?
Finished.
That is applied knowledge.
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu.
The Shanti Mantra comes from the greatest text known as Upanishads and Upanishads are the cream of the teachings of the Eastern wisdom,
Yoga,
Meditation,
Etc.
So now let us take the second mantra,
Second line,
Recitation and listening.
So now instead of singing,
I am saying recitation,
So you are very clear.
During the recitation,
We need not to take help of any other musical instrument outside.
Why?
The mind has to live with it.
Gone are the days when we have bowels singing,
Etc.
,
Etc.
No.
It will distract my mind.
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu.
Recitation,
Listening to what do you recite in your mind with the meaning.
What is the meaning?
May there be peace in all.
Do you remember?
Oh,
Goddess,
You are seated in me.
Peace,
Peace,
Peace.
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu.
Just something revealed.
What in the third recitation can I become aware I am the peace?
It is not that I am in peace and peace is within me.
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
I am the peace.
That is applied knowledge.
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham swasthir bhavatthu,
Sarvesham shantir bhavatu Mine gets a bit emotional,
But it's a pure emotion.
I am the peace?
Wow!
Sarvesham shantir bhavatu Sarvesham shantir bhavatu Sarvesham shantir bhavatu Sarvesham shantir bhavatu Third line,
Recitation and listening.
Now you know the meaning of recitation and listening,
Not the singing.
Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Meaning?
What is the meaning?
May there be completeness in all.
Air is complete in itself.
Air doesn't disturb anyone.
We get disturbed based on our liking and disliking.
See there.
Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu What a beautiful mess in the practice.
And now,
Now just see if I'm complete in myself.
That sense of completeness within drops all the incompleteness caused by the ego.
So where,
What do we find?
Ishvara,
That is what we discussed today.
Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu Sarvesham puranam bhavatu fourth line,
Recitation and listening only,
Let listening engage your ears to prevent the mind to go to those thoughts accumulated deep inside.
You see the essence of every moment?
Sarvesha Mangalam Havatu,
Sarvesha mangalam havatu,
Sarvesha mangalam havatu.
Mangalam means auspiciousness.
So I have been saying when you merge well-being,
Peace and completeness,
What happens every moment?
The mind reflects that God seated inside the heart,
That is what we discussed,
That is why it becomes an auspicious moment.
Sarvesha Mangalam Havatu,
Sarvesha mangalam havatu,
Sarvesha mangalam havatu.
I am there.
Sarvesha Mangalam Havatu,
Sarvesha mangalam havatu,
Sarvesha mangalam havatu,
Sarvesha mangalam havatu.
Now,
As you chant it,
Let the mind look deep inside your heart or the head,
Doesn't matter,
As if you are calling Aum is your honey and shanti you're attacking that darkness which is the form of ignorance that prevents us to align,
To discover,
To reveal that real self.
Second shanti to the mind is it pure?
Third shanti to the body and the world.
So continue.
Because you are doing it mentally,
You need not to change the rate and the rhythm of the breath.
Why?
I'm pointing you out because that will keep your mind deeper within.
But why?
I have to find my real self that is located inside,
Deep inside my heart which is the seat of the consciousness.
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
That formless.
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
And doing nothing means what?
You're maintaining an awareness,
The mind does not fall back to the same old stuff,
Even if the thoughts are there,
Let it be.
But you are in a state of doing nothing.
Why?
The knowledge reveals within in the state of doing nothing.
What is that knowledge?
Knowledge of the real self.
Why?
That is our goal.
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
We'll share our experiences now.
We return in a specific way.
First bring your mind on the right hand,
Become aware.
We are not in a hurry.
And just check if the mind is in hurry to return.
What does that mean?
You know.
Bring the mind on the left palm,
Raise both your palms,
Place it on your closed eyes,
Open the eyes inside.
Know your experiences.
Bring the hands down.
How are you David and Jerry?
Once again a very good experience.
For me,
As during the mantra you mentioned completeness and as soon as you mentioned completeness I just had this white light in my head space for the rest of the meditation.
It was kind of interesting.
That's quite beautiful.
Yes,
You see that?
White light represents sato guna,
The knowledge and plus the joy.
The moment you see that white light there was also a joy that you did not see.
So that is a kind of a revelation.
That's a beautiful.
How are you Jerry?
I'm good.
The meditation was,
From the moment I closed the eyes,
It was dark,
The space.
And then there was light space,
There was empty space.
So there was like variations of the space.
That's a movement,
That's a progress,
That's a deeper.
Beautiful.
How are you Sam?
I'm good.
I focused at the beginning when you said to close your eyes and become like,
The outside isn't there.
It was easier to settle in.
But I was actually over here,
Which I usually was when I was really focused on hearing you.
And then I guess as it got more peaceful,
I would describe it as,
You know,
I was going down the hallway and getting farther away from you,
But I knew you were there and I was hearing you and I was good,
Peaceful.
That was it.
That's a good point.
Quick,
Quick,
Quick,
Quick.
Absorb deeper within.
You see that every time I make a little variation and I introduce those subtle principles.
Do I introduce?
No,
It happens now.
Now it is happening naturally.
So you see that every time during the day you close your eyes and check,
Is the mind still in the world?
Or the mind is deeper inside?
That will tell you you are progressing or not.
You see that the moment you close your eyes,
The moment you are in deep sleep,
Do you know which bed you are lying down?
Where?
You don't know whether you are in my home or your home.
You know,
That that is what awareness is in meditation.
One way.
So how are you,
Stephen?
I'm really,
I'm really good.
My meditation was just I just felt myself falling deeper and deeper into myself.
And there was nothing,
It was quiet,
It was peaceful,
It was fast.
It was peaceful.
Yeah,
So thank you.
Beautiful,
Wonderful.
How are you,
Christina?
I'm doing wonderful this morning.
You started smiling.
Very good.
Yes,
Oh I wanted to tell you,
I just thought everyone would get a kick out of this because you tell everyone to keep smiling.
I had to get my license photo taken yesterday and I smiled so big.
Thank you.
Oh,
Very good.
I tried to smile the biggest that I could in thought of you and myself.
Look at Lara.
You don't have any problem.
But my meditation was wonderful this morning.
When you started the first Shanti Mantras,
I'm not sure which one it was,
But I just know it was the first one and I felt myself go,
I admire listening to how Stephen has been able to go into his heart.
And I think maybe because today you talked about going deep into the heart.
That was on my mind.
And once you started the first Shanti Mantra,
It was like all of a sudden I felt like I could breathe and I was just in my heart space.
And it was like coral and warm and I really enjoyed that.
What a beautiful experience.
That's good.
Continue the journey.
How are you,
Daniel?
Thank you.
I'm good.
So for me today,
It was very quiet and very calm.
And I had also the impression it was very short.
I wanted to stay longer.
I was surprised that this is the end.
So quiet and calm.
You see that when you give interpretation through the mind that it was so short means the mind wants to stay longer.
It is already inside.
Yeah,
It is not engaged in the crazy stuff that we meet in our personal,
Professional and social life.
So it encourages you that,
Yes,
We can go deeper.
We can reach to that state.
Beautiful.
How are you Lara?
I had a very interesting experience.
I had the second vaccine the other day.
It's been a little off and sick.
So I think today the meditation almost felt like it was taking the trash out when we were doing the omens through the body.
I just felt like this like trash almost being taken away.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The stuff that I don't need.
And I also realized that I had an insight earlier this week and still have been kind of spinning out about it.
I was repeating a story over and over and over again.
Which story?
It was a long story.
But I kept repeating this story to myself and I had this insight.
I was like,
You got to stop repeating this story.
And I talked to a friend the other day and I was like,
I'm going to talk to you about this for two minutes and I'm going to stop.
So time me.
And so realizing I think from the talk that how this story is causing this,
Maybe the trash with it.
Yes,
Yes,
Yes,
Yes.
So hopefully I feel much clearer.
It was very,
Very quiet.
It was also very dark.
But that's sort of what I was experiencing.
Yeah,
It's a deeper experience.
You have to tell a story of human self discovery only to yourself all the time.
Don't repeat any other story.
Leslie,
How are you?
Good morning.
Good morning.
Can you hear me?
Yes,
I can hear you.
So in the middle when my mind was wandering a little bit,
I was thinking,
You know what?
Screw it.
This is my experience.
I'm going to own my experience.
And I don't see dandelions and fairies and bright lights.
But you know what?
Damn it.
I'm just going to keep showing up and doing the work and be peaceful because I am peaceful.
Yes.
Yes.
There's some joy in there,
Too.
So,
You know what?
That's my experience.
My message has already gone inside because you see that majority of the participants here have been practicing almost now for more than a year now,
Jerry,
Isn't it?
It's more than a year.
And majority of them have been regular,
Consistent.
So what is the role of being consistent and regularity?
Every time you listen to the principle,
It goes into your head.
So it minimizes the garbage in the mind.
You know,
You see that?
So when that is minimized,
It leads to the deeper experiences.
No comparison.
Leslie.
I was actually saying that to myself this morning.
Remember,
Past causes regret.
Comparison causes conflict and confusion.
And the future leads to worries.
Yes,
It's okay.
So drop all the three.
Continue the journey.
So,
Yes.
Now Brandy.
Brandy is gone?
Yeah,
Brandy is gone.
So who's left?
Anton?
Yeah.
Hey,
John.
John,
How are you?
John and Terry,
Yeah.
Yeah,
Anton,
Yeah.
Anyone?
Yeah,
John?
This is John.
I was struggling this morning for lack of sleep,
So it was difficult for me to focus.
Yeah,
Yeah,
Yeah.
So we say we are going to understand almost after a couple of weeks,
What are the nine fundamental obstacles on the path of meditation?
And you are right.
One of them is sleep,
Laziness.
How are you,
Anton?
Anton,
Yes.
Good morning.
Yeah,
Good morning.
I'm good.
So this morning I had kind of a tug of war going on in my mind.
But it was enjoyable when I could stay in the moment.
When you can stay in the moment.
You still struggle.
Yeah,
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Should I speak?
Think of it.
Does the body struggle?
Body says,
You know,
I am struggling with you.
Body doesn't say that I'm struggling with you.
Eyes does not say I'm struggling with you.
You see another principle.
It just came to my mind.
Think of it.
Think of it.
Does the thought say that I'm struggling with you?
Can you think of it?
What makes you struggle?
That is the problem.
That is the ignorance.
And that is what we say.
I-ness.
I with the thought struggles.
I with the body.
Oh,
I have a weightless complexion.
Lara has a white,
So she's the I.
I white,
I wheatish.
That is the problem.
There is no other problem.
Think of it.
How are you,
Terry?
I can hear you slowly.
A very slow tone.
Calmness is there.
Good.
Calmness is there.
Never think of your challenges.
Never think.
We have one more to go.
It was very peaceful.
We are seeing the light deep inside the heart with the way David was explaining.
That's good.
Very good.
Now see when we understand.
First we have started our journey and now what we are going,
We are understanding what exactly is the existence.
In the home we say the God.
This is only the first sutra.
In the second sutra we will find it blows our mind.
Oh,
This is what we have to do.
But if you understand the previous,
If you have understood the previous sutras,
You have prepared a foundation,
Then the struggle inside the mind is almost minimum.
Then these principle enters into your heart easily.
It is absorbed and then you are contemplating you reach to the higher consciousness in meditation.
So that is all.
Any question that you like to ask?
But keep a smile,
John.
You know,
I point out one everybody starts smiling.
Oh,
I didn't have a smile.
I play sometime.
That is all for today.
Thank you.
We'll meet on Saturday.
Thank you.
Thank you.
