Sir,
You see that I have,
We have been understanding and I have been talking more and more about giving an example of the sky is not blue,
But still we see the sky.
But the reality we know.
The same way we see the body.
Blueness exists.
So I see the blueness of the sky,
So I see,
Feel the body.
But the reality is the sky,
So the reality is the real self.
So we are going step by step to once you understand this Viveka,
Real and unreal,
90% of the journey is done.
Eastern wisdom promises that once you have that understanding and it lives in you,
90% of this anxiety,
Insecurity,
Fear,
Duality,
Conflict will go out from your system.
It is so powerful.
It is so powerful.
That is what we are understanding.
So now see,
Pay attention to each word.
When I say understanding and perception,
I see you,
That is perception.
But what I understand,
Do you see that?
Do you see the difference?
I perceive you.
We all have a perception.
All of our five sense organs are intact.
We have a perception.
Yeah,
David has come,
So I will start the main thing.
Perception and knowledge of reality,
These are two things.
We all perceive more or less the same thing.
Our perception is more or less the same.
But the understanding,
That knowledge of the reality in that perception is different.
It vary from person to person.
A husband perceives a woman in front of him,
My wife,
Do you see the knowledge changes?
Did you see that?
Knowledge changes.
So what we are looking for,
We are looking for real self.
And when we use the word real self,
The real,
That means it is self-existent.
It does not depend on anything.
I see the blueness of the sky that depends on the sky.
So what depends on,
Which does not have an independent existence,
That cannot be real self.
My anxiety depends on you because you made me crazy.
You see,
Now it is dependent.
Now you made me happy.
So if you made me happy,
The next time you will definitely make me unhappy.
So it is dependent,
Dependent existence,
That dependent existence.
We will use the word false.
We will not use the word untruth.
Do I have a tail?
No,
It is untruth.
It does not exist.
Do we all have tail?
No,
Nobody has a tail.
You see how those,
Our masters have discovered these smaller principles and that changes your entire perception of life.
So these principles are the means of knowledge that reveals the reality.
One example our master gives that you are passing through a fish market,
Knows is the means of knowledge.
You will come to know there is a fish.
Yeah,
See that?
So simple.
Now,
Apply the same principle.
I know I have a perception of the real self,
But I don't have a knowledge of the real self.
That is why the master invokes these principles.
Are you getting it?
You all are seekers.
You know,
I know that you now understand.
So I have to go a little deeper and deeper.
Did you understand that part?
When the nose is a means of a knowledge you are passing through,
You do nothing.
You did nothing.
And you know there is a fish market.
Right?
Who doesn't know that you are a conscious human being?
I have a perception.
It is real self.
But we do not know that we are the real self.
That is why we are studying and that is the goal of meditation.
Did you get it?
We do not know we are the real self.
So we take this body as a real self.
We take the mind as a real self.
When I am stressed,
Then I take it that I am stressed.
And that is the problem.
That is the confusion.
That confusion is known as ignorance and it demands self-inquiry.
That is how science also does the inquiry.
But they does the inquiry into the world outside.
We do the inquiry about our real self.
Clear?
So in that perception,
You know during the training Kate removed my false perception.
She said no,
You do not know what I am doing.
So I removed that knowledge.
She talked to her.
That is the way.
Perception is one.
The way you perceive me,
The way I perceive you.
But what is the reality in that perception?
That has to be known by the knowledge,
Means of knowledge.
And what is the means of the knowledge?
The Eastern wisdom is the means of a knowledge to find that reality.
That reality.
See another point.
My perception causes pain and pleasure,
But I love happiness.
What does it mean?
You don't like a person and you see him or her.
That causes a discomfort in you.
But I love happiness.
So from where this pain has come,
You blame the other person.
So there I have to put the knowledge of the reality.
Not very tough.
All are secret so you can easily understand.
You can pick up,
I'm bringing,
Taking up a step by step.
Now see the other way around.
Can I accept myself to be unhappy?
That's why we try all the different means.
Can I accept myself to be unsuccessful,
To be painful?
No.
The answer is no.
Now ask yourself why the answer is no.
I told you before,
Entire Eastern wisdom follows valid means of knowledge.
It does not believe on a blind belief.
It does not promise us heaven.
No.
Because heaven is a blind belief.
We cannot find out the heaven.
So there is a confusion where in the mind,
Conflict,
Ignorance,
Problem or perception,
Projection,
And that hides the knowledge of reality.
Do you see that hides the knowledge of reality?
So there question comes.
I am happy,
Unhappy,
Fearful,
Fearless,
Insecure,
Secure inside me and not outside.
Did you see that?
I am happy,
Unhappy inside me,
I'm fearful and fearless inside me.
Are you sure?
So if you have understood,
Can anything outside me remove unhappiness,
Fear and insecurity?
It isn't me.
The answer is no.
So what is the point of wisdom?
Mind by default becomes happy,
Blame and complain others hold on your mind,
Enter into the knowledge of reality,
Drop that confusion.
I have started searching something outside for my security to become fearless,
To become happy,
But it is inside me.
This entire process is known as self inquiry.
If I don't inquire,
I do not understand,
You know,
Sometimes you see in acupressure,
You know what we say that when you feel more pain,
That is the point of the problem.
So we give you a little more pain to release it.
You see that?
Now the master is saying that I have to ask a simple question.
Am I seeking happiness through an object,
Through a person,
Through an event?
Or I want to remove insecurity,
Unhappiness,
Which is present in me.
Did you understand these two questions?
What do we want?
So I have a perception I perceived and my knowledge says that you are responsible for my stress and happiness.
So my mind says somebody else will be able to give me happiness.
So I am searching happiness outside through an object,
Through a person,
Through a thing.
That is why we say meditation is to move the mind with it.
Now you have that understanding,
Which is 100% clear.
When you sit in meditation,
The mind has nothing to worry,
Mind will never go outside.
Now you have a clear understanding.
So you see the question,
What question?
Am I seeking happiness,
Insecurity,
Fearlessness through an object or a person in the world outside?
That is the first question.
And second,
Or I want to remove the fear,
Insecurity,
Unhappiness,
Which is present in me.
Which one is true for you?
Will help you succeed in meditation or will help you fail?
Are you getting it?
So this point I have to contemplate and reflect in my daily life.
And beautiful women met me and she said,
How is your relationship with your honey?
Just it was the first meeting.
So I could find out that she has a lot of problems.
And ultimately she started crying about her relationship.
Perception what I'm looking for.
That is why if you remember,
We have a nine primary practices and the first practice is known as Viveka.
So Viveka means I have to separate what is false from what is real.
I have to separate the blueness from the white sky.
So once I separate in my head through the knowledge of the Eastern wisdom,
This mind will never go anywhere.
So that is why I said nine primary practices,
Know and discernment,
Dispassion.
We will also talk about the six inner treasures in detail so that they are settled in you.
So once they are fully settled in you,
The life changes.
So we have nine primary practices,
Three hidden practices,
Understanding the valid means of a knowledge.
And then comes the secondary practices of asana,
Pranayama,
Mudra etc.
So the first primary practice which is known as a discernment.
So we get in knowledge by discernment.
I told you,
Are we not a conscious human being?
Yes.
So that very consciousness proves the real self,
But I don't have a knowledge what exactly is the real self.
So my perception is distorted and I see this body is the real self.
Is it not so simple?
I know you are understanding.
Take a crystal.
Yeah.
Crystal is colorless.
Right?
And put the crystal on a red paper.
So the crystal disappears.
You see what is?
Only the red color crystal is there.
That is what happens to the real self.
Now the real self is colored by this body and for all purposes I claim I am the body.
Don't stop there as the following sessions will make everything so clear.
And then you only you sit in meditation,
You succeed in it.
So what happens that this discernment separates the false knowledge with the right knowledge.
Now false knowledge contains attachment,
Detachment,
Anxiety,
Duality,
Conflict,
Fear,
Insecurity.
So that is taken care by the second step which is known as dispassion.
But then dispassion continues.
If you continue with the dispassion then comes the six practices like relaxation and calmness.
Can I be in the state of calm relaxation poised 24 by 7?
If yes,
How?
Then comes another practice which is known,
Which is translated,
I can translate as withdrawal of the senses.
No,
It is not the withdrawal of the senses.
But senses are perceiving everything in the world minus likes and dislikes.
Minus anxiety,
Minus reaction.
So what happens the mind lives into that state of calmness.
Third treasure is you are sitting over the mind.
The mind is not sitting over you.
So when we follow these three steps then comes there are certain habits we have acquired since our childhood.
Maybe from the parent,
From the schooling,
From the society there is a heavy conditioning on the mind.
So that mind we treat with the fourth treasure which is known as endurance.
So when we follow these four treasures there comes a natural faith in you that I must know more.
I must bring an end to this journey.
What is the end of the journey is awakening and realization.
So that faith,
Tremendous faith,
Motivates you and absorbs you into meditation.
This is,
You know,
In nutshell these all nine practices,
Three hidden practices,
Makes us a seeker,
Great seeker.
So once a seeker you are always a seeker.
You know,
Once we become a seeker we are always a seeker.
Last thing you have to think of it.
Do you love peace?
Did I repeat it?
Am I repeating it?
Yes,
Sometime repetition also.
Do you love peace?
That is why peace is your nature.
Do you love happiness?
Happiness is your nature.
Where is the problem?
Do you love knowledge?
That is your nature.
Now if someone is talking about,
You know what you're talking about me,
I love knowledge.
Now ask,
Tell me,
Do you love to survive?
What a crazy question.
I don't want to die.
Where it is pointing you?
Where the mind,
Your mind is pointing you?
It is pointing you to the existence,
Self-existent reality.
I want to survive.
Now opposite,
Do you love stress,
Anxiety,
Fear,
Insecurity?
Answer is no,
It's not my nature.
It is here and now.
That is known as absolute existence,
Consciousness,
Bliss and that is our real self.
I'm summarizing and then we will start with our practice.
Sun is sun because of light,
Am I right?
Fire is fire because of heat,
Am I right?
Sugar is sugar because of sweetness.
What I am?
I am because of,
Answer me,
Because of stress,
Because of anxiety,
Because of duality,
Because of insecurity,
Because of fear or because of peace,
Happiness,
Knowledge,
Existence.
We already have a real self,
The teacher and the knowledge of the Eastern wisdom is filling the gap,
It is putting that knowledge,
That understanding.
You are what you are.
Think of it.
Before the next session,
Continue to live.
Do I love peace?
Yes,
Peace is my nature.
Not only when you are in peace,
Ask this question,
But the moment you are in anxiety,
Ask the same question and see what happens to it.
No,
Anxiety has nothing to do with me.
Sun,
Fire,
Sugar are much better than us.
They know,
They know,
We do not know.
So that do not know is a matter of ignorance.
And that is why we are practicing meditation.
So let us practice meditation.
Eyes are closed.
Body is steady.
And mind is looking within.
And in that state,
We have started doing that will definitely change your mind mentally,
You are visualizing,
You have folded your hands in Namaste Madra in front of the rib case as if the thumb is virtually touching your center of the rib case and your mind is looking into the space at the center of the palm with all humility.
I don't know.
So I have to be humble to know.
It is not the humility towards a person that helps me.
See that.
Think,
Feel.
What we are doing?
Asat from the false to the real self.
It's a movement.
So I'm preparing a ground for it.
Darkness means ignorance to wisdom.
Wisdom,
You know,
That is what I discussed,
Knowledge,
Perception is there.
Perception of the real self is there all the time at every moment in every situation,
In all conditions,
But that very knowledge is not there.
Think of it.
If you have objection,
It means you are a seeker,
You are asking a question.
We will remove that objection.
And the third point,
Mṛtyūrma mṛtanga māyau,
Mṛtyūr,
Insecurity,
Fear,
That fear is not there in the real self.
Now being comfortable.
So we did last time.
So every time you are doing,
You are moving in a subtler plane of the mind,
Looking at the shoulder joints,
Then experience of sensation,
Comfort and steadiness.
You're moving deeper into a subtler space.
There you see the namaste,
Namaste means not me.
So you are already through the intellect,
You are separating unreal from the real.
Deep joint,
Sensation,
Comfort and steady.
It is my experience.
And what I'm searching,
I'm searching who am I,
Who is experiencing sensation,
Comfort and steadiness.
And then the space,
I experience the space,
The namaste,
Not me.
Again I enter into the space.
I live there,
I'm aware of it.
It is enough.
Entire body from the top to the toes to all the joints of the body.
So sensation,
Comfort and steadiness.
So maybe if I say you're pushing the mind little deeper so it becomes subtle,
That subtler mind perceives the space.
You know you see that?
I use the perception and the understanding,
The knowledge,
So the space.
The mind on the other hand becomes subtle.
That subtler mind is humble.
Otherwise we say,
You know,
There is a proverb,
You know something,
Humility is a sign of hypocrisy,
Sometimes we say that.
So because the mind is not subtle,
It does not perceive the sense of oneness,
Not me.
And in that state we are carefree,
Any thought comes,
Not me and mine.
We have understood it through many points of view.
Now do you realize,
You all are seekers,
You're definitely realizing that every step I change its expression,
The mode of practice,
The way it is to be practiced.
Why?
The knowledge is hidden there.
So being carefree.
Do you remember?
Salesperson.
Mind becomes the sales guy.
It will remain there,
It will continue its activity until we realize the real self.
Because the mind is seeking the permanent peace,
Happiness,
Love and wisdom.
And every time this mind comes as a salesperson,
Sales guy with a thought and object,
You say,
Thank you,
I don't want.
It can only happen by the subtler mind,
When you are extraordinary aware and attentive.
And when you are aware and attentive,
This body will continue to remain steady.
How come body and energy is the servant of mind?
So we are not directly hitting the body,
Let me force the body to be still.
That is why I said,
Stillness in the body,
Not off the body.
It is so simple.
When that understanding is settled in the intellect,
It will guide the mind and the mind will take over the body.
You need not to worry about anything.
So now we move to the stage three.
In the very first session,
Become a seeker.
We understood the fourth state of the mind is focused mind.
And that is the one of the six treasures.
But here,
We will continue to do it.
Just quick,
Short,
Gentle breaths through both the nostrils.
So there is only an expansion and contraction of the rib cage,
Not the entire body.
Keep your awareness in the space inside the head or the heart and continue.
What does this sound like?
Short,
Quick,
Gentle breath,
You are enjoying doing it,
You are enjoying.
That is the main thing.
That is what you know we have also understood somewhere,
I think I talked about it that the seeker is always cheerful.
Continue.
And now,
Stir up this.
Let us do the longer nyasa that we have been doing it.
Introduce here and see how it works today.
Start breathing deep,
Silent and slow.
Not really deep that makes you unease,
Discomfort,
No way.
It should not be very short,
It should not be too much longer without any effort.
That breath is your car.
Mind is the driver as you inhale.
Let us start it as you inhale,
Move the mind inside the right arm.
In the space inside the mind is totally absorbed into the space and the intellect is saying Aum Shanti and as you exhale the mind moves from the fingertips to the shoulder again.
You see you have assigned a rule to anyone,
Everything.
Breath deep,
Silent and slow is a car.
Mind you follow the breath.
Where?
You drive the breath on the highway.
What is highway?
The space,
The mind is absorbed and intellect is the driver.
Where we are going?
Aum Shanti.
Everything is clear.
Our perception is dictated by ignorance,
Not knowing my real self.
So valid means of knowledge is the Eastern wisdom.
That is exactly what we are doing.
We are doing nothing.
And you see when,
Just see that when you have a clarity of understanding,
Do it on the left arm now in the same way.
When you have a clarity,
The mind is not confused.
You will see there is a kind of absorption.
You are aware.
There is no forgetfulness but the mind is totally absorbed.
I have got it on my feet.
Super.
You may find that you don't need this guy.
You're totally absorbed.
What a wonderful state.
Now do it the same way inside your right leg.
You will discover by yourself that it is so easy to be settled within,
To be absorbed within,
As if the mind is not.
You will discover that it is so easy to be settled within,
As if the mind is not.
And now inside the left leg.
You remember the role of the breath,
The mind,
The intellect,
In that state of the cheerfulness,
Life changes.
What are you perceiving as your perception?
Knowledge of the reality,
How by understanding.
In the beginning you may have,
You know,
Every time when you do it,
You know,
It is some past impression pops up,
So maybe today you may feel a little movement.
You need not to worry.
You have a clarity now.
You have that understanding.
Now move the mind inside the spine from the crown of the head to the tailbone,
And from the tailbone to the crown.
You need not to worry about that.
Now I have a lot of thoughts.
Come on.
You are not searching another thought in between these thoughts.
You're searching something else.
That is why I told you,
Do you love peace?
Yes,
It's my nature.
Do you love these thoughts?
That's why you are worried.
No.
See how simple it is.
How it has come by understanding.
Understanding is required based on the knowledge of the Eastern wisdom.
Dist tow.
Now leave this breath,
Leave the nyasa,
Just experience sensation.
How do you experience this?
Because I'm a conscious human being,
So that consciousness is me.
Experience is sensation.
Relaxation.
How do you experience?
Consciousness.
Relaxation is different.
Stillness in the body,
Consciousness.
Look inside,
Calmness.
And consciousness.
You know normally when I say,
Am I calm?
Yes,
I'm calm.
So that calm has two elements.
One is the experience of calmness and the second is the consciousness.
If the consciousness is not there,
How can you experience calmness?
Separating,
Viveka,
Discernment.
And then looking inside the heart,
Space,
No problem.
Keep looking into the space,
Pick up a point in the space,
Drop Aum Shanti.
Intellect understand,
Aum is the real self,
Shanti is the peace.
Then ask the mind,
Can you move a little deeper?
Find the second milestone,
Means second point in this space,
Drop Aum Shanti and continue to move.
The time comes,
You will experience as if,
As if,
Understand,
I'm qualifying,
As if the mind stops.
The mind can only,
Seems to stop when we touch the real self because the real self doesn't move.
Continue.
You you you Mind continuously move without any disruption by the thoughts we are attached by the past impressions that pops up in the mind.
Do you understand?
That popping up is pertaining to the impurity of the mind.
Continue the journey.
You see this space?
In fact,
The space is awareness.
Oh yes,
We did it on Saturday.
So in that awareness,
You pick a point in the space.
What that means?
It's a natural focus.
The fourth state,
You are a seeker and then you say with understanding Aum Shanti.
It explodes the mind.
That explosion,
We say we're the meditator.
The sense of the doership of the meditation drops.
My friends continue.
