Now see that it goes out of the mind when we translate this,
The knowledge of the object,
The object known and the knower of the object,
This Trinity,
This trifold unit is not real at all.
But why they exist?
They exist because of delusion.
And what is delusion?
Delusion means that which appears true but not true.
Gyanam geyam tatha gyanata trityam nasti vastavam ajnana adbhadi atradam soham asmi niranjanah.
So the master says when the delusion is gone from the mind,
We enter into the highest state and that highest state is the pure consciousness.
Pure consciousness is nothing but permanent peace,
Happiness,
Love and wisdom.
We find our real nature.
The goal of the entire Eastern wisdom whether we talk of yoga,
Tantra,
Mantra,
Meditation,
Mindfulness,
What is the goal?
Goal is to find the real self which is hidden inside the heart behind the mind.
So it is the mind with lot of wrong notions,
With lot of errors,
The way we perceive the world causes suffering in our day to day life.
So meditation is not like a pill that you take a pill and you are intoxicated for an hour and after that we are the same person again.
It is a total transformation.
So see that from where we started the journey in the first chapter,
Three questions.
How the knowledge of the real self is attained by the seeker?
How is dispassion attained?
And how freedom or liberation is attained?
So the first step is the dispassion.
If I don't live in the state of dispassion,
This does not go inside our head.
We say it looks very good,
You feel very good,
You are talking very good but it does not change.
So Janaka,
The master,
This Janaka was a seeker,
He knew without dispassion,
Without dispassion,
Journey cannot be taken ahead.
So for dispassion,
What is that?
For dispassion seeker must know what is real and unreal.
Now I see you,
You are real,
You see me,
I am real but we don't have a clarity.
That is why for clarity we should study under a teacher.
That is the way the Eastern wisdom works.
So for having a dispassion,
I should know what exactly is viveka,
The discernment.
So what is that discernment?
To separate real from unreal.
Then we should also know what is real and unreal.
So we say in Eastern wisdom that entity,
Anything or that entity which is never changing,
That is self-existent,
That is infinite,
That is all-pervading,
That is of the nature of permanent peace,
Happiness,
Love and wisdom is real.
So now where is the location?
So location we say it lays deep behind the heart.
So heart sometimes refers to the mind and the feeling.
So now see the journey of this Eastern wisdom on Saturdays is of the highest order.
So if I do not think,
So how I separate real from unreal if I start thinking about it.
So the first step is the teacher guides the student.
Now I start thinking in the same way with clarity,
With conviction.
When I start thinking about it,
It is not that no one hour every week you are talking very good,
That will not change you unless you start thinking.
So when you start thinking what is real and unreal,
The intellect returns with its wealth and what is that wealth?
That wealth is viveka.
What is viveka?
Viveka is known as discernment.
Discernment means separation.
So when I separate myself from the wrong notions that is present in the mind,
I enter into the state of dispersion.
So when I enter into the state of dispersion,
Then what happens?
Then I do the practice.
So when I do the practice,
Then what happens in meditation?
The knowledge of the reality is revealed.
Now I need not to do anything.
I am absorbed into meditation and that knowledge of the reality is revealed within.
That brings an end to the suffering.
Another point to be understood in this text that Janaka was the Ashtavakra.
The Ashtavakra was only 14 years of age and he is teaching to the king who is a student,
Who is over 50 years old.
So what is the message?
Message is that when I am absorbed in the Eastern wisdom,
The age is no bar,
Caste is no bar,
Religion is no bar,
Gender is no bar.
There is no bar of it.
Even we can learn from the child.
We say we should learn from the child.
Are we moving with the humility to learn from the child?
So that humility takes you to the state of dispersion.
See I'm linking everything today.
So there is a discernment first.
Only that discernment begins with real and the unreal.
That discernment my Guruji used to say used the word vichaar,
Vichaar in Hindi.
So we say the typical word is vivekaar.
So from discernment the mind separates the real from the unreal.
When it separates then the mind lives into the state of dispassion.
So when the mind lives into the state of dispassion then comes the six treasures.
The mind starts living more or less in the state of calmness,
Peace,
Withdrawal of the senses.
Mind is not affected by whatever is happening outside.
Once we reach to that state then we become a seeker.
Now when you are a seeker I have been telling you,
You have to recheck again and again.
Am I a seeker?
So when I am a seeker,
The seeker always succeeds.
Now we will take up this verse to understand.
The master is saying,
No,
The seeker is saying,
Seeker is undergoing that experience that is our second chapter.
He is narrating.
The master has already guided him in the first chapter.
This is what the real self is.
And the best learning is knowledge and understanding.
So by knowledge and understanding you enter into the state of choiceless awareness.
So from this verse the seeker is narrating and another level of experience.
You know we normally have,
We say I have a beautiful experience of color.
I went deeper and you know we have been narrating.
It is okay but to have the experience like a seeker confirms that we are progressing.
So now see that it can be done here and now.
I know you.
So think about it.
I,
One,
One thing.
You,
Second thing.
Knowledge,
Third thing.
Yeah,
Normal.
I know you.
That is how we have been using the word I know.
I know how to drive.
I know,
I know a place.
I know a thing.
So there are always three things.
I,
Personal.
Second is the object or a person and the knowledge between the two,
The relationship between the two.
Now do you see,
Can you become aware of that?
I know you.
You know me.
So we have the three things.
So this I is known as the knower.
I,
Subject.
You can say I is known as the knower,
Known as the subject.
You,
When I say I know you,
You are an object.
You are an object or we can say known and what is the relationship between the two?
I know you.
There is a knowledge between I and you.
First step that if we have understood,
Now the seeker is saying all three are one.
They are not separate.
Is seeker crazy?
Either he is crazy or we are,
That we find the separation.
So the second principle that comes,
It says that this Trinity,
Knower,
Known and knowing,
Subject,
Object and the relationship between the two,
I,
You and the knowledge between it are essentially coming from the mind.
How they are one?
So the first understanding.
What is the first understanding?
They all come from the mind.
It is the mind recognizes I am.
It is the mind recognizes you.
It is the mind gains the knowledge.
Now see,
Everything is happening in the mind.
Everything is happening in the mind.
So this is one of the most beautiful.
Even Patanjali says the Trinity must go.
Where you say,
Gyanam geyam tatha gyanata,
Knower,
Known and the knowing are essentially one.
We experience three and that is the delusion.
Your mind may say that all these masters are in delusion.
I am seeing you,
You are separate from me.
Is it not a fact?
So let me take you a little deeper and then you will understand.
Okay,
I say that I know you,
Right?
What is the separation between I and you?
Tell me.
Where you begin and where I end.
That is how I understand that you are separate from me.
Are you getting something?
So I ends with the body,
Whatever is outside the body is different from me.
Clear?
Little deeper.
First step.
It is clear.
Now I claim that I am the body.
Body is a matter.
I cannot be the body.
Is there any line between I and you?
We are discovering that.
Find out.
What is that line which separates where you say this is,
We separate your house,
My house,
Neighbor's house.
But what is that line which separates I from you?
So when I say I am the body,
Right?
And then I say you are there.
Where is the line?
If I am the body,
Then I can say I have the line.
I am the body.
So my body is I am,
Your body is not I am.
Are you getting it?
Little only little deeper.
So when it comes to this body,
Then I say this is I am my body.
I am.
And when it comes to your body,
No,
No,
This is not me.
That is why I know you.
You are different from me.
So in one case,
In one stand,
Mind says this body is me.
In other case,
That body is not me.
How that is possible?
I am making a contradiction.
Why?
Ask yourself,
Is this body and that body are different?
At the outer level,
Name,
Form,
Age,
Gender,
But deeper inside,
Both are made up of matter.
So where is I and where is you?
Ask yourself,
Can I have that perception?
Can I live into that awareness?
When I live into that awareness,
Where is you?
What is the thin line?
Where is me?
Both the bodies are the same.
They are made up of the same matter.
How can I create a line between I and you?
Are you getting it?
I believe so.
I believe so.
So what the master is saying,
Gyanam geyam tatha gyanata trithayam nasti vastavam,
In reality,
That separation do not exist.
It is all consciousness.
I enter,
I used another word.
It is all consciousness.
How can I,
How can you say that?
Without consciousness,
I cannot know myself.
Without being aware,
I cannot know you.
And the very consciousness is the knowledge.
So there is only one consciousness when it passes through the mind,
Divides and perceives.
When that consciousness,
It is something like that when the sun passes through a prism and after the,
Beyond that prism,
We see many rays of light.
The same way it happens,
That real self is which is of the nature of pure consciousness that passes through the mind.
The mind divides and then it perceives,
Then it says,
I know you,
You are different from me.
For living in the material world,
Transactional reality,
That is okay.
I know you,
You have come online to attend the meditation session.
I am playing my role as a teacher,
You are playing role as a seeker and a student,
That is okay.
But internally,
I should maintain my constant awareness that we are all essentially one,
It is all the consciousness.
But when the mind divides and we are attached to that,
We start living in delusion.
This is what J.
Krishnamurthy,
One of the great masters who lived in this century,
He says,
We mind enters into the state of choiceless awareness and that choiceless awareness is nothing but pure consciousness,
Pure consciousness.
Another point,
Why we fall into the delusion,
Wrong notion starts working in the mind,
Because we are not objective.
What does it mean being objective?
It is raining,
I have a perception that is unbiased,
Unattached to the rain.
When I give interpretation that it is raining,
I like rain,
I feel good in rain,
It is being subjective.
Subjective,
The subtle ego comes in the mind that separates the word outside.
When we are 100% objective to the things and the people outside,
Day to day from moment to moment,
This mind does not live with the subjective interpretation of likes and dislikes,
Duality and a conflict and the delusion is not there.
When we do not live into that delusion,
We live into the choiceless awareness and that choiceless awareness is nothing but the state of meditation.
Did I make it more complex?
That is the verse,
The verse is so simple.
What the verse says,
Gyanam geyam tatha gyaata,
Trithayam nasti vastavam.
There is no reality between the knower,
The known and the knowing.
Mind divides itself into three and then it says you are different from me.
In reality,
We are not different.
Gyanam ata bhati yatredam soham asmi niranjanah.
But when this mind withdraws within,
It leaves the trinity,
Trinity.
What is that trinity?
The subject,
Object and the relationship between the two.
When it leaves that trinity,
The mind is pure.
When the mind is pure,
We enter into that highest state of consciousness,
Which is known as meditation.
It can happen here and now.
Are you waiting for the practice?
So mind still has doubt.
That is why meditation has to remove the doubt.
If you have understood you are already in the state of meditation.
You are already in the state of meditation.
So this teaching means that knowledge is understanding,
Awareness,
Choiceless awareness.
So if we are living into that state,
We are already in the state of meditation.
But the mind says when you are going to start the practice,
Mind has doubt.
Why they have a doubt?
Because of the error,
Because of the wrong notion.
So that wrong notion,
Then we fall back into the second level of a seeker that we have to do the practice.
So we are combining both practice and the knowledge.
Choiceless awareness.
Let us start our journey.
Eyes are closed and see how we can translate,
How we can translate this teaching of the master into a practice.
Eyes are closed.
Close your eyes.
So do it with understanding.
Why we close our eyes?
We close our eyes to withdraw the mind from the sense organs.
That happens in deep sleep.
So here we are withdrawing consciously.
We are not falling into sleep.
So eyes are closed when I say it indicates that we are withdrawing all the five sense organs from outside to inside.
It is symbolic.
So where the mind is looking?
The mind is looking deep inside the forehead.
What it is looking?
It is looking into the space.
It is looking into the space or darkness or blankness,
Whatever it is.
Whatever you see,
Whatever your mind projects is good.
Now what happens?
Have you seen,
Have you experienced that?
That is the point of knowledge.
The moment the mind starts looking deep inside,
The body tends to be steady.
Are you aware of that steadiness in the body?
It's a long journey to understand.
When the mind withdraws itself inside,
Then the body has nothing to act.
There is nothing to move because body is in matter.
It is inert.
Can I become aware of that level?
Awareness of the body,
Which is matter,
It doesn't move.
I'm not holding.
I'm not forcing.
Understand that part.
So when you are not forcing,
You are simply aware.
Awareness is knowledge.
Knowledge is your experience.
You see,
I'm using awareness,
Knowledge and experience as synonyms.
Mind looking inside the forehead in the space.
What we did?
We did nothing.
We are just pointing the mind.
Why don't you look inside so it stops looking at the body?
Body is a matter.
Matter cannot move by itself.
So our next experience is the steadiness in the body.
Did we do anything to steady the body?
No.
That is,
That becomes the highest practice.
Otherwise,
People continue doing the postures for 10 years to make the body steady.
No,
It will never happen unless the mind withdraws inside.
So we make the body a little more comfortable.
How?
By moving the mind deeper.
Moving the mind deeper by changing our experience without doing anything.
Move the mind on the neck joint.
Be there.
Can you hold on the mind on the neck joint for a couple of seconds continuously?
Or is the neck moving?
You're not moving the neck.
You are looking at the neck joint.
Normally,
You know,
Here we say,
Oh,
Move the neck here and there,
Right and left.
Now in this practice,
We are not doing that.
When we are moving the neck,
It means the mind has gone there.
We are simply aware of the neck joint.
Be there.
Feel.
So when we feel,
We experience sensation,
Comfort and steadiness.
So we don't experience the steadiness,
The mind,
Subconsciously or habitually enters into the body and moves it.
So what should I do?
Just become aware of it.
The very awareness will withdraw the mind within.
Move the mind.
You see what I say?
Move the mind.
I don't say move the body.
So move the mind on the shoulder joints.
Be there.
Feel.
Sensation.
Comfortable.
And steadiness.
Move the mind on the knee joints.
The mind is looking.
Knee joint.
Mentally.
Feeling.
So that feeling I'm explaining,
Your experience as sensation,
Comfort and steadiness.
Hip joint.
You're not doing anything to the body.
Only the mind goes there.
It becomes aware.
Awareness is knowledge.
Knowledge is your experience.
What is that experience?
It is sensation,
Comfort and steadiness.
On the journey on Saturday,
We are sure we are not doing anything.
It is all about awareness,
Knowledge and experience.
So what the master is saying,
I experience you are different from me.
You are you.
I am I am.
Knowledge in between.
It is a delusion.
So when we remove that delusion and a wrong notion in the mind,
We find there is only one consciousness.
We all are made up of one consciousness.
So move the mind on the entire body on all the joints.
One after the other.
Take your time.
The mind is looking at all the joints.
So what do you experience?
There is a sensation,
Comfort and steadiness.
You know what happens?
The mind gets agitated because of its habit of living outside,
Claiming I am the body.
And if that is not happening,
Yes,
We are going deeper.
Now when I say being carefree,
Free from all the cares,
Who cares us?
The same mind.
Which mind?
The mind in ignorance.
So I don't mean that you are ignorant.
You are highly intelligent.
What I mean to say,
Ignorance means not knowing my real nature.
Not a single person knows everything.
So here we point out not knowing our real nature.
But why?
Because the mind is constantly jumping on the thoughts and the feeling and the sensation.
What should we do?
Do nothing.
Separate yourself from the thought,
Feeling and the sensation that enters into the mind.
How to separate?
I discussed about being totally objective.
Thought comes,
Okay.
Thought is not me,
Let it come.
Thought has gone,
Let it go.
You are totally objective.
That is one way of saying it,
But I have been saying in a different way.
That you are standing across the road watching the traffic.
Watching the traffic.
So you are standing across a road.
You're not entering into the traffic.
Same way,
Mental traffic,
The thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations,
That is the mental traffic.
You are simply dispassionate.
Let it come and go.
Now this traffic enters into the mind in a variety of ways.
It will move your body.
That is also entering the traffic that disturbed you.
Or you can pick up another understanding,
The waves in an ocean on the surface.
And deep inside the ocean,
The water is calm.
Same way,
The inner mind is always calm and the outer one has a lot of thoughts.
Let it have.
Thought comes,
Very good.
No thought is there,
Very good.
So that thought also comes in the way of moving the body,
Feeling itching,
Experiencing laziness.
All these are different expressions of the thought.
Why?
Because of wrong notion,
Because of the impurity in the mind.
So we are objective,
Means we are totally separate from it.
From what?
From whatever the content of the mind is.
And if that happens,
We are aware that it is all the knowledge practice,
Not anything that we are doing.
So now the mind will try to push you,
Oh why don't you know what is next.
So what is next means,
You know,
Mind says what step I will do.
So just an awareness of the word outside,
Just outside your body.
We have created a false line of I with the body and outside the body is the word,
That is not me.
It is easy to see the wall is different from me,
But it is difficult to see the body is different from me.
And more difficult to see the mind is different from me,
The thoughts are not me.
But all our matter,
Whether it's a wall,
The body and the mind,
This is the delusion.
So let us pay attention,
Start with what the mind says.
The till line we have drawn,
The mind has drawn,
What is outside the body,
Where are you sitting,
Become aware,
The items and objects in the room,
The very room,
The space in the room,
People with whom you are sitting,
Just an awareness.
You see that gives a false notion,
I and the world immediate outside me.
There are two,
I means the knower and the known is the word and you are knowing it.
Just maintain awareness,
We have to do nothing.
And now go to the body,
Look at the physical body from the crown of the head to the toes.
Feel the sensation,
Comfort and steadiness.
Do you know the body?
I will say yes.
Do you know me?
Yes.
So when you know me,
It's a part of the knowledge,
You have to simply become aware.
So when you know me,
The conclusion is that I am separate from you.
But when you know the body,
How come the body is not separate from you?
That is what I'm talking about,
That is the doubt,
That is the delusional part.
So the masters say there is an operating principle to go into the higher meditation.
What is that operational principle?
Whatever is known by your mind is not you.
Make it clear,
Maintain your awareness.
Do you know your pant and trousers and clothes?
Yes,
They are not you.
Do you know your dad and mom?
Yes,
They are not you.
Do you know what cloth you are putting on at this time?
Yes,
That is not you.
So whatever is known by the mind is not me.
Keep that knowledge,
Keep that awareness.
So look at the body.
Do you know the body?
Yes.
Do you have a sensation,
Comfort and stillness in the body?
Yes.
You know the body,
You have an experience of the body,
What it means?
We are not the body.
You know,
Even after repeating it a million of times,
Why does not happen?
Because the mind lives with the doubt,
With the wrong notion.
It has lived for millions of years.
With the same idea,
With the same wrong notion.
Body,
Sensation,
Relaxation,
Stillness.
Do you know your body?
Yes.
You know many things about the body,
You know the age of the body,
You know the age of the body.
You know the age of your body,
You know the age of your body.
You know many things about the body.
You know the age of the body,
The gender,
The challenges,
The experience here and now.
So what is the operating principle in Eastern wisdom?
Whatever is known by the mind to me is not me.
I've been saying again,
Do you know me?
Yes.
Do you know that I'm separate from you?
Yes.
Do you know your body?
Yes.
Is body separate from you?
You see the closer the mind comes,
It refuses to accept.
Casually we normally say it,
Oh,
That person has left,
But body is there.
When a person dies,
We say,
Oh,
He has left.
Body is here.
We speak of it,
But we are not aware of it.
Okay,
So the body,
Body is not me.
So when it is not me,
Leave as it is in the state of sensation,
Relaxation and stillness.
Let us so-called go deeper,
Look at the breath.
Now understand with the knowledge that you are not the body,
Now you are looking at the breath.
Is there a movement of the breath?
Yes.
Is the breath going in and out?
Yes,
But it is wrong,
Perception.
When I'm not the body,
How the body can go within and out?
You see,
We keep that wrong notion all the time.
What,
Breath,
Breath,
Moving.
You feel the sensation and vibes of the breath.
Do you live with the knowledge that you are not the body and the breath is pulsating?
I'm not saying breath is going in and out.
I know the breath,
Yes.
You see,
There are multiple principles and that is what the master says.
Unless you become a seeker,
You start living into that state and it becomes the easier journey.
If you find the journey is difficult because of non-seeker.
You're also looking at,
You see that?
Now you have a knowledge.
When I see the word outside,
I see they are different from me and the body is made up of the same substance,
But still the mind says,
No,
This is me.
But now you are clear,
I'm not the body.
When you are not the body,
Where the breath is moving?
Breath.
Pulsating.
Breath.
You see the pulsation of the breath,
The movement of the breath.
You see it,
You know it,
Means I am also not the breath.
Breath.
Deeper than the breath.
You're looking,
You're aware,
You're feeling the thoughts and feeling and sensation enters.
Are you your thought?
Are you your feeling?
No,
They come and go.
They appear and disappear.
You see we are understanding,
We are understanding,
Our understanding becomes deeper and deeper.
Why I say deeper and deeper?
Because the mind becomes subtle.
The subtle mind is focused mind.
Subtle mind is pure mind.
Thoughts,
Feeling,
Sensation,
Vision,
Anything that appears on the mind is known by you.
Whatever is known by you is not you.
We just maintain that awareness.
So whenever you are aware,
You are aware of the awareness.
You are aware of the awareness.
You are aware of the awareness.
So when we negate in the mind by awareness,
What is not me?
One thing we cannot negate and that is what the real self is.
Now deeper than the mind what is left,
There is no object to be seen,
Felt,
Experienced,
Known.
What I know is the space only.
Space alone,
No object deeper than the mind.
Only the knower remains.
The knower perceives the knower.
When the knower perceives the knower,
It is what we say the choiceless awareness.
The choiceless awareness.
I am spotless.
This seeker is saying I'm spotless now.
No doubt the mind goes back to the body,
To the breath,
To the thoughts,
To the word outside.
Simply put the knowledge there.
What is that knowledge?
Oh,
Mind,
You know this.
Okay,
That is why you are not this.
And the moment you see,
Even you can see that.
And when you see that and wait,
What happens?
The mind drops.
No attachment,
No liking,
No disliking.
It goes back to the infinite space within.
So if you say this is the practice,
Obviously,
We need to do it again and again and again,
Until then what happens?
Then you're living your day to day life with that state of consciousness.
This is what the master is saying.
Master is saying I'm always the pure consciousness.
At jnana tibhati,
It is because of ignorance.
It appears that there are multiple.
Yat tridam sohasmi sohamhasmi niranjana shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih shantih We'll share our experiences once we return from it,
Just to help us evolve.
Bring the mind on the right hand.
Bring your mind on the left hand,
Lift your both the palms,
Place it on your closed eyes.
Open the eyes inside the palms,
Know your experiences,
Bring the hands down.
How are you,
David and Jerry?
Hi,
Jake,
By the way.
Very good,
Very initially going into it,
There was a lot of indigo.
Good.
And then some way through,
Halfway through or something like that,
There was these tears,
And then it just went completely dark for the rest of the meditation.
Beautiful.
That said deeper,
At least the mind has left all the objects.
And indigo obviously is a very subtler mind.
How are you,
Jerry?
Sorry,
I'm good.
Just kind of a keen awareness of noticing the body,
But not being at all disturbed by the body,
Noticing the mind and noticing the mind,
Noticing color,
And not getting distracted by that.
So just this awareness of the space,
The breath everywhere,
The space everywhere,
I'm everywhere.
Yes,
Yes,
We are everywhere.
That's a beautiful experience.
How are you,
Stephen?
I'm good.
A peaceful meditation,
Like always.
It was,
I felt dropping into meditation.
I actually felt falling into meditation before you even had us close our eyes.
And then when I closed my eyes,
It just started to become this very expansive space.
I did have more thoughts come in than typically during my meditations,
But I recognized them,
Let them go,
Moved on.
Very heaviness of my body.
And then just feeling this synth of these tickling sensations as I kept scanning different parts of the body as you took us through it.
And other than that,
It was just nice.
Beautiful,
Yes,
Yes,
It's a deeper respect.
Only the consciousness remains that recognition and living into that consciousness is what results into this journey.
How are you,
Vebho?
Sir,
It was very peaceful.
It was very easy for me.
Like I was going inside and very easy for me.
I didn't have to do anything and then I was just totally absorbed inside.
And then when it was like,
When I was just ending it,
I was just feeling some magnetic feeling in my palms.
Yeah,
Yeah.
It's a kind of a withdrawal.
Beautiful.
How are you,
Kate?
Kate is gone.
How are you,
Sam?
I'm good.
I would say I too was having some different thoughts go by,
But again,
I've described them as kind of passing clouds.
After a while,
I slowed down and stopped and everything got dark and quiet and very peaceful.
Very peaceful,
Beautiful.
How are you,
John?
Good,
Thank you.
Thank you,
I felt stable.
Yes.
One of my,
Yes,
Awareness was not moving around.
So it was good.
You see that that is why we say meditation is effortless,
Natural,
Doing nothing.
So why doing nothing?
Because the mind is settled in that knowledge.
How are you,
Sarah?
Sorry,
I couldn't find my way to unmute.
I'm well,
Thank you.
It was,
I felt going into the meditation just as you were speaking before we formally started practicing.
And then this has happened a few times,
But there's a lot of laughter as I was able to start to just differentiate,
You know,
Sensation,
Not me,
Thought,
Not me.
I could feel my mind wanting to resist that,
But just staying with it.
It suddenly became very funny sense of separation.
And then very,
Very still and.
.
.
Yes.
Yeah.
Beautiful.
That is,
Yeah,
It's beautiful.
How are you,
Jake?
I'm good.
It's the first time,
So thank you for having me.
I think for me at least found the breath to be consistent and in a good rhythm throughout the entire time,
Which was kind of the goal from the start.
And relaxing and calming?
Yeah,
And then towards the end,
Kind of a release in a sense.
Beautiful.
That's just the beginning,
Continue the journey.
How are you Vivek?
You return after a long time?
Well,
Yeah.
I was not well done.
Okay.
I think I felt peaceful.
And today I felt certain,
It was like I found something and I found some kind of self in my best friend.
Come.
Yeah,
Yeah,
Continue the journey.
How are you Ashok?
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
Ashok,
Sunita.
Okay,
I see you Sunita.
Yes sir.
I see you sir.
Part,
After come,
Okay,
Peaceful now.
Peaceful.
Eight didn't be any sure now.
Monday or Thursday could we join Kargu?
Yes sir.
She felt.
The place above.
So where,
Why is he time?
Is he time?
Ah.
I am Ashok.
So you see that when we know these principles and we follow the principles into this meditative,
Principle means knowledge,
Principle means concept.
What is concept?
Concept is basically a knowledge expressed through a sentence.
That is what the concept is.
So if we say principle and the concept,
I say neti,
Negate.
What I have to negate,
What I am not.
I am not the body,
I am not the breath,
I am not the thought,
I am not the feeling,
I am not the sensation,
I am not the intellect,
I am not the ego.
So now there comes one thing that we cannot negate and that is what the real self is.
So this process follows,
This is one of many approaches.
So that is all.
Oh yes,
We have to find out Terry.
I sorry,
Forgot.
Terry,
Yes.
Ashok?
Yes,
Yes,
Yes.
Sometime I forget couple of more people.
How are you Terry?
I'm okay.
I'm having this experience of different levels.
I mean,
I didn't,
My body was not allowing me to forget about it.
It's a reality.
Yeah.
Not reality,
But it's,
It was always bugging me the whole time.
I couldn't forget about it.
Yeah.
Well,
I had,
In the beginning I thought that I wasn't having any thoughts and I said,
I don't think I'm having any thoughts.
And then I thought they must be very deep that I'm not having any thoughts.
I'm not aware of them.
But then I started having thoughts that I was conscious of and I was trying to keep my mind on the concept and the principles.
Yes.
And I have memories that I had suddenly the thought that I've had before.
There are times that I remember that I now feel,
I know.
