Take a moment to be with your breath.
Notice the movement of your breath.
Notice how your breathing moves your body and have the attitude that with every exhalation you're becoming more and more relaxed.
Notice how you feel well and safe in this present moment.
And now bring your attention to that part of you that is the analytical mind,
The thinking mind.
See if you can relate to it almost as if it's a separate part in you,
A person.
This part may be confused,
It may be doubting,
It may be skeptical.
It's trying to understand everything and to navigate the world through thought.
Now ask this part of you to give you some space for the next few minutes so that you can do this exercise.
Say to this part of you,
Thank you for all the gifts you bring,
For all the work you do,
But in this moment I don't need you.
Can you please give me some space?
Then be grateful that this part of yourself,
The thinking mind,
Is willing to cooperate and to give you space to go deep in this meditation.
Now imagine that you are in a beautiful island,
The weather is nice,
The birds are singing,
And you're walking freely in this island.
You feel safe and well and you begin to feel a pull to walk in a certain direction towards the center of this island.
And after some time walking like this you see an ancient temple.
You walk towards this temple and you enter it.
There is a smell of sandalwood in the air,
There is a sense of a divine presence,
Of something very sacred in this temple.
You can't explain it,
But you can feel it.
There's a sense that you are exactly where you should be and that you needed to find this place.
As you are exploring around in this temple you get to the center of it and there are some stairs going down.
And you begin to go down and as you're going down,
Instead of things getting darker,
They are getting brighter.
You don't know where this light comes from,
But you keep going down to find its source.
And there is the sense that the more you're going down these stairs,
The more you're going down into the source of you,
The heart of your being.
It's like for a moment you have completely forgotten about the external world,
Your thoughts,
Your life.
You're just diving deep in yourself.
And these stairs,
They end,
There's a door and you open the door and walk in.
In this room,
In the heart of this sacred temple,
There's a box.
There is the sense that inside that box is an answer about your life's aspiration,
About what you should focus on next,
What you're here to do.
You know this from inside and so you come close to that box,
Knowing that there's something inside that box that has the answer you need,
That has a symbol,
A sign that you need.
Then you slowly open the box and look inside.
What do you see?
Maybe the answer comes in a flash and then disappears.
Try to stay with it as much as you can.
And then now you can see yourself closing that box.
And if you have seen an object and you feel like taking that object with you,
You can do that.
If you feel like leaving the box in its place,
You can do that too.
See yourself leaving that room,
Carefully closing the door,
Knowing that you can come back whenever you need.
You begin walking up the stairs and you get to the ground level of the temple again.
There's this sense in you that you have got in touch with something deep,
With something sacred.
You may not yet understand what you saw or the words that came or the feelings that came,
But there's a sense that somehow you have the answer.
Then you see yourself walking out of the temple,
Back to where you started in the island.
And as you do so,
You're allowing that insight,
That experience to unfold inside of you.
You're not worried about what's going to happen in your life.
If you embrace it,
You just open to allow it to take root in you,
To grow and unfold.
