Eye Meditation by Gerald Blomile Our eyes offer us a paradise of shapes and colors.

In this meditation we feel grateful for this and allow them to rest deeply.

By directing our attention mindfully,

We experience how the eyes,

The face,

The whole body,

And finally the mind relaxes.

Everything may be as it is.

Relax physically,

Mentally,

Emotionally.

Feel you are in the right place and notice that when you close your eyes,

Your nervous system calms down.

Our eyes give us a paradise of shapes and colors.

Be grateful for it and allow them to rest deeply.

Everything is okay.

Let go of thoughts.

There's nothing to do,

Nothing to achieve or prove.

Without effort,

Feel welcome in the open and creative space of consciousness.

Feel the weight of your body.

Feel safe and grounded.

Feel the sensations of the breath.

Notice how the body expands and condenses one breath at a time.

Feel the nose and nostrils.

Feel clean air flowing in and out,

One breath at a time.

Each inhale gently replenishes depleted energies.

Each exhale releases spent energies.

Lovingly releasing all that weighs you down.

With each inhale,

Feel supported,

Held,

Safe,

And loved.

Surrender to the simplicity of breathing.

Your forehead is smooth.

The skin is relaxed on the skull.

Feel the neck and shoulders relaxed and released.

Beware of your eyes and the light they see.

Beware of your ears and the sounds they hear.

Be aware of your skin and how it feels.

Be aware of your tongue and what it is tasting.

Notice your nose and the scents it smells.

Feel the position of the body and how it is supported.

The jaw is relaxed.

The cheeks are soft.

A light smile smooths the whole face.

Feel the sensations in the lips,

In the left side of the mouth,

In the right side of the mouth.

Feel the tip of the tongue,

The root of the tongue.

Everything feels light.

Feel the teeth,

The roots of the teeth,

The roof of the mouth.

Inhaling,

Bring your attention to your eyes.

Exhaling,

Allow your eyes to relax.

Feel the eyelids resting on your eyeballs.

Allow your eyes to soften and release any pressure.

Allow all the tiny muscles around the eyes to release the tension.

Feel the sensations in the right eye.

Feel the sensations in the right eye.

Feel the sensations in the left eye.

Feel the sensations in both eyes together,

Including the sides.

You may even notice a pulsating sensation.

Allow the eyes to feel spacious with a panoramic view.

Without effort,

Allow both eyes to become soft and light.

They're like two luminous spheres.

Enjoy the relaxed feeling around the eyes.

Feel the eyes being gently cleansed by the breath.

Allow them to sink back and down into the eye sockets.

Let the breath gently massage the muscles around the eyes,

Infusing fresh energy.

As you exhale,

Release any tension and allow your eyeballs to sink deeper.

Breathe into the eyeballs.

Send them love and gratitude.

Feel the weight of the eyeballs and notice how they sink down.

Feel the eyelids getting heavier.

Let them rest.

Discover any resistance.

Let it go and feel relief.

Now feel the breath touching the nostrils.

Breathe into the space between the eyebrows.

Feel it flowing around the eyebrows.

Smooth the space between the eyebrows with each breath.

Notice the space behind your eyes.

Energy flows out of the eyes when you look.

Redirect it by breathing into the space behind and around the eyes.

Feel the sensations of the breath gently flowing around the eyeballs.

Feel the eyeballs floating on the breath.

Now let your attention sink to your heart.

Feel it breathing and shining with love.

You are truly complete the way you are.

There's nothing to do,

Nowhere to go.

Let go of all concepts and step back from thinking.

You don't need a mask,

Nor do you need to leave a mark.

Just ask yourself,

What is here now when there is no problem to solve?

Just pause.

Stop and be truly alive in the present moment.

Notice what is happening inside you and around you.

Just pause.

Notice your body is breathing and connected to the earth.

Feel the whole physical body as your home.

Notice everything that you are grateful for.

Appreciate it.

Welcome back.

Thank you.
