My name is Gerald Blomile,
And I've wrote and recorded this podcast meditation for you.
Enjoy!
Sit or lie down comfortably and leave your eyes open.
Try to listen to the meditation without wanting to achieve anything.
Let yourself experience whatever happens spontaneously.
Notice how your body is breathing all by itself.
Watch the gentle rise and fall of your abdomen and enter into the flow of each breath.
Feel a sense of well-being throughout your body.
Focus your gaze on a thing in front of you.
Concentrate on its shape,
Color,
And details.
Notice how the thinking mind becomes active,
And you start naming the parts and the whole.
Be aware that thinking is engaged when you move your eyes.
Notice that when you objectify the world,
You cannot merge with it,
And you feel tension in your body.
Now drop your directed focus.
Soften your eyes.
Slightly unfocus your gaze.
Allow your perspective to widen and become an open,
Diffuse field of awareness.
By allowing this panoramic view,
Your whole body tends to soften.
Notice that the more you relax,
The more objects and movements appear in this peripheral field of vision.
We experience this as space.
You are becoming part of your environment instead of feeling separate from it.
Allow your attention to fluctuate a few times.
Move your attention back to an objective view,
Distinctly separate from the object of attention.
And then move back to feeling yourself as a part of a larger whole and experience the perceived and yourself without separation.
Direct your attention inward towards your mind.
Notice that the ego manifests itself through thoughts and feelings.
This is the part of you that feels challenged,
Confused,
Hurt,
Or disappointed.
Simply look inward towards your mind and allow yourself to feel a movement of energies.
Old energies seem to fade,
Allowing new ones to come.
Our sense of identity,
Connection,
Or limitation arises and subsides.
Be aware that this constant flow is taking place in a space of knowing.
This is often compared to the open emptiness of the sky,
Which has neither a center nor a circumference.
The mind is always conscious and clear and feels like space that welcomes everything.
Be aware of thoughts and feelings arising like clouds in this open field of awareness.
Be present,
Both as the one who experiences it and as the source.
Presence is inseparable from space.
Conflicts and disturbances occur in aware space.
However,
Awareness itself is free of conflicts and disturbances.
Every movement takes place in a space,
But the space is not moved by it.
Now move your attention to your right eye and then to your left eye.
Relax and allow both eyes to be at the center of your attention.
Let both eyes soften further.
Try not to move your eyeballs.
Sense the space around your eyes.
Feel the space in your head and the position of your eyes.
How does this affect your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Your whole head?
Notice a feeling of relaxation spreading throughout the body.
Perhaps your thinking has slowed or even stopped.
Move your attention to your right nostril and then to your left nostril.
Notice your attention and allow it to rest on both nostrils at once.
Relax.
Feel the breath moving through the nostrils.
Notice the space and stillness inside your nose and the air flowing through it.
Let your breath become as subtle as your thoughts.
Imagine the breath flowing up into your head and brain without disturbing the stillness of the space.
Let it bring calmness to the whole head and a sense of well-being.
Imagine the subtle breath gently sharpening your ability to reflect and understand.
As you experience the space in your head,
Be aware that you are actually entering the conscious space that pervades the whole body.
Your ground of being is the stillness of the space.
Only the breath mixed with awareness is moving.
Guide your breath to both eyes simultaneously,
To both ears,
Both lips,
As well as to your upper and lower jaw.
Let the subtle breath flow down into your neck,
Which is your communication center.
Allow it to flow through the essence of your voice.
Feel it,
Enriching the potential and freedom to express yourself.
Guide the breath to both your shoulders at the same time.
Feel the breath flowing inside the space of both your arms and hands,
All the way to your fingertips.
Experience both arms and hands relaxing simultaneously.
Bring your breath down into your chest and breathe into your heart.
Let it activate and nourish feelings of love.
Notice that love is both here in the chest as well as in every cell of your body.
Feel it.
Let the breath flow down into your lower belly,
Into the stillness at the center of your body's strength.
Feel it pass through and stimulate the essence of your power.
Feel that you're inside the space of your pelvis.
Bring your breath down into your pelvis and feel it pass through the stillness of your agenda and strengthen its essence.
Breathe into both your hip sockets and legs at the same time.
Simply feel the stillness inside them and the movement of your breath.
Bring your attention down to the stillness of space inside your feet.
Feel the movement of your breath passing through them.
Feel the stillness of space within your whole body,
Your whole body,
And recognize the awareness in every single cell.
Now move your attention to your body breathing all by itself.
Notice that the air is coming in from the outside.
Be aware of the space outside your body.
Notice the space inside and outside your body as the same continuous field of space.
The space in your body is the same as that which pervades all objects and everyone around you.
Everything is pervaded by the same space,
The same subtle dimension of fundamental consciousness.
Feel the field of presence both within and around you simultaneously.
Sense the space that permeates your body,
All objects and the people around you.
Everything is permeated by the same space,
By the same subtle awareness.
Now we can open up to the whole universe.
Be aware that your body is breathing all by itself.
Feel the gravity and the weight of your body.
Start moving your hands and feet.
And when you're ready,
Stretch yourself.
There's no hurry.
If you're lying down,
Pull up your feet and knees.
And when you're ready,
Turn over onto your right side.
Remember that you can perceive the world either with the directed or with an open focus.
Both possibilities are always there.
If challenges arise and you feel tension in your body,
Switch to the open focus and feel the space in your body.
This will allow you to feel whole and complete.
Everything has to be changed at this level.
