This tapping meditation is one I created when I woke up one night and could not go back to sleep. If you’re tossing and turning and can’t go back to sleep you can use EFT tapping. You gently tap with 2-4 fingers while I guide with prompts and gentle music. Then you can allow yourself to let go of your restless mind so you can have a good night’s sleep and wake up refreshed.

This tapping exercise is one I did when I woke up one night and couldn't go back to sleep.

If you're tossing and turning and can't go back to sleep,

You can use EFT tapping.

We gently tap with two to four fingers and allow ourselves to let go of our racing mind so we can have a good night's sleep and wake up refreshed.

First,

Give yourself a score of how anxious you feel from zero to ten.

Ten being the most,

Zero being none.

Now get comfortable so you can just tap and follow the words and not stress about remembering how to repeat the sequence.

First,

We'll start by tapping on the karate chop point on the side of the hand and repeat it again and then go through the sequence.

Here we go.

Karate chop point.

I can't seem to fall back to sleep and I accept myself in my current situation.

Even though I woke up in the middle of the night,

I can't seem to fall back to sleep and I accept myself in my current situation.

Go to the inside of the eyebrow nearest the nose.

I feel so awake and restless.

Go to the outside of the eye nearest the temple.

My mind is racing and I can't turn it off.

Under the eye,

On the bone.

I wish I could just go back to sleep.

Under the nose.

Why can't I just relax and let go?

On the chin,

Between the lower lip and the chin.

My body is tired but my mind won't shut down.

An inch below the collarbone.

I'm starting to feel calmer now.

Under the arm,

About one hand width along the nipple line.

I'm willing to allow myself to breathe in and let go of the tension and soften.

Go to the top of the head.

I allow myself to remember that I don't have to figure it out right now.

Inside of the eyebrow.

I remember I have gotten a lot of things done in the past.

The outside of the eyebrow.

Perhaps I'm feeling a sense of being overwhelmed.

Like I've got to fix everything and it's the middle of the night.

Underneath the eye,

On the bone.

I feel myself breathing in and allowing myself to release the chatter in my head.

Under the nose.

I sometimes make myself feel so responsible for everything and I can let go of that right now.

Under the mouth.

I can let go and realize I can take care of things just as they go and just be present to myself now.

Down to the collarbone.

I allow my body to breathe and give myself a sensation,

Restful breath and calm.

Under the arm.

And I can feel that I'm secure and safe.

I don't have to be afraid.

I can let go of being perfect.

Top of the head.

I am doing the best I can.

And I deserve to go to sleep.

What is your anxious feeling score now?

On a scale of zero to 10,

10 being the most and zero being none.

If you need to do another round,

That's okay.

Inside the eyebrow.

I can feel the stress going out of my body.

The side of the eyebrow.

I can let all the chatter go.

Under the eye.

I allow myself to feel that place of rest and safety.

Under the nose.

And feel how good that feels.

Under the mouth.

I am safe,

Secure.

Under the collarbone and able to relax.

Under the arm.

I allow my body to totally invite the experience of going to sleep.

I am safe,

Secure and breathing with ease.

Head.

I allow my body to ease into sleep.

If you want to linger here a little longer,

Just put your right hand on your chest and your left on your belly and breathe and imagine a peaceful scene like being on the beach or in a forest.

Someplace where it's beautiful and you can rest.

Have a wonderful sleep.

Thank you.

Namaste.
