Welcome to this short relaxation meditation.

Whether you are sitting or lying down,

Inviting you to have a comfortable posture,

Your hands soft and gently closing your eyes.

To start I would like to invite you to bring your awareness onto your face,

Allowing the muscles of your face to soften,

Your eyebrows,

Your eyes,

Your jaw,

Really allowing this part of your body to let go.

Bring the air on your face,

Softening the scalp,

Allowing space in your neck and your shoulders,

Letting go of any tension in the shoulders,

Feeling them breathe and allowing your whole body to feel heavier and heavier as the weight drops down towards the floor.

Allowing the front of your body to soften,

The belly,

The knees and allowing the back of your body to soften too.

Letting go of the muscles in your buttocks,

Allowing your buttocks to spread,

Letting go of the legs,

The calf muscles,

The toes and checking in with your shoulders and your face again,

Keeping them soft and spacious and feeling your whole body soft,

No need to hang on to any unnecessary tension.

Feeling your body spacious,

Alive and expansive.

To finish this practice I'd like to invite you to express some gratitude to yourself for allowing yourself to pause in this way and when you are ready in your own time,

Gently opening your eyes again and resuming the day.
