This practice is a time for us to review and reflect on our week, and forgive ourselves for past missteps. We are reminded that not only are we loved, but we can also trust God. We can let down our defenses, and enter into a covenant of mutual trust with God - God has us covered!

Find your breath wherever that is.

Listen to trace it.

Vapor it.

Begin to breathe and integrating your breath appreciate the positive moments and the gifts you have today as you've imagined those positive moments and gifts you have today center yourself now on God's grace God's presence God's Providence God is with you center yourself in God's presence God is as close to you as your breath God promises to never leave you this is God's grace this is God's Providence sustenance for your life's journey in the Ignatian way centering ourselves on God's grace even appreciating the gifts that we've received is a powerful beginning to how we connect and reconnect with our God as part of Saint Ignatius tradition tradition he began to imagine how he could find himself in God's grace in God's presence daily and if he could in every moment so part of that tradition is review of your day but in our case it's review of our week so take just a few moments in this silence to review your week those moments where you recognize self other even God you you you you you your mind may wander and create a narrative a playlet an interpretation a critique on some interaction in the week what feelings come up what thoughts come up are you attempting to fix whatever happened in the past look at all of that with curiosity look at that with compassion there's something for us to learn what is our happiness sadness anger teaching us about who we are you allow that event to be in the past and continue to review your week you you you you in the review of your week if something is come to the forefront of your mind a difficult situation a mistake a misstep miscommunication let it be it's already happened this is an opportunity for you to ask forgiveness for God this recognition of how that mistake misstep miscommunication affected your relationship with God or your relationship with your neighbor take a moment to ask forgiveness of God you now take a courageous step and forgive yourself this takes some work dear friends self compassion loving kindness you you are forgiven thanks be to God I invite you to this intention this week an intention to trust God to trust God's presence God's care for me recognizing my willful action is part of my understanding of recognizing God God's trust and my trust in God I invite you to consider this phrase this week that God is telling you God's saying I got this I got this you can trust me as I trust you I got this I got this you can trust me as I trust you it's a process of commutuality finding ourselves in partnership with God being a disciple of Jesus Christ we are called to be people of trust to know that God cares for us and for all people and sometimes we are the ones God sends to care for the poor to feed the hungry to give drink to the thirsty to welcome strangers to free those who are oppressed and persecuted and when they turn to ask us why we say because we trust God as God trusts us God says I got this you can trust me as I trust you you let's take three cleansing breaths and pray together the prayer Jesus taught us to pray our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever amen
