A great philosopher once said when things are investigated knowledge is extended.
When knowledge is extended the will becomes sincere.
When the will is sincere the mind is rectified.
When the mind is rectified personal life is cultivated.
When personal life is cultivated family will be regulated.
And when families are regulated the states will be in order.
And when the state is in order there will be peace throughout the world.
Change can truly be manifested not just by thinking about it but by being the change.
In today's meditation let us set an intention to embrace the change that we wish to see in the world.
Let us begin.
Find a comfortable posture where your body feels completely relaxed and alert at the same time.
Gently close your eyes.
Clasp your hands interlocking your fingers into fingers.
Simply placing them on top of your lap.
Crossing your feet at your ankles.
And giving yourself permission to tune into your body.
And as you tune in just become aware of any sensations any discomfort any pain that you might observe in any part of your body.
Being aware of the discomfort and breathing into the discomfort.
And as you breathe in just let go and relax.
And as you breathe out completely let go and relax.
With every passing breath go into a deeper state of relaxation.
With every passing breath just let go and relax.
The first step into meditation is to let the body relax completely.
Relax.
We tend to carry a lot of burden around the shoulders.
So just taking a moment.
Softening your shoulders allowing your shoulders to roll down away from your ears towards the ground.
Relaxing your jaws by unclenching your teeth.
Focusing your hands by focusing at the center of your palms.
And as you focus at the center of your palms become aware of any sensations that you might be able to observe either at the center or anywhere on your palms.
Bringing your attention to your chest and your upper back.
And feeling your breath in your chest as you breathe in.
Letting go and relaxing as you breathe out.
On your next in breath breathe a little deeper than normal.
Make sure you're filling up the lower lobes of your lungs.
Breathing in fully and exhale.
As you exhale put all your weight on your tailbone and completely relax your upper body.
Breathing this couple more times.
Breathing in fully.
And as you breathe out,
Breathe out slowly.
Making sure that you empty out all the air in your lungs.
Move your awareness to your hips and as you breathe in become aware of your hips.
Bringing your attention to your legs and putting your attention on your feet.
Breathing your legs and your entire body.
Now let us move the focus to the breath and breath alone.
As you breathe in become aware of your inhalation and as you breathe out become aware of your exhalation.
Let your breath be normal,
Natural,
Calm and serene.
Just observe the natural flow of your breath.
When you are with the breath your mind gently moves into a state of stillness.
Just be with the breath.
If your mind vanters away it is absolutely alright.
Let go of the thought and bring yourself back to the breath.
Being with the breath helps to study the mind.
Now let's move on to the breath.
Now take a note of your internal weather and how you feel in this moment.
What does your internal weather look like?
Is it bright and sunny?
Is it gloomy?
Or is it neutral?
And there is no right or wrong here.
And also resist the urge to change or override how you feel in this moment.
Embrace what you are feeling in the moment fully.
And whatever may be your internal weather just acknowledge.
Sit with how you feel in this moment.
Just be with your feeling.
And becoming aware that your feeling in this moment might not be static.
It is dynamic.
It changes from time to time.
And these feelings might be positive,
Neutral or on a negative scale.
And most of us might be holding on to past grudges,
Resentments,
Fears either knowingly or unknowingly and are being constantly pulled into this energy time and again.
I invite you to breathe out all such emotions and feelings.
As you are breathing out,
Set an intention that you are breathing out and letting go.
All past grudges,
Resentments and fears.
And as you are breathing in,
Just affirm that you are breathing in freshness,
Joy,
Love and courage.
As you are breathing out,
Release any stuck energy that is not serving your highest good.
And as you breathe in,
Embrace the change that you want to see in the world.
Every out breath,
Release all the negative thoughts,
Feelings,
Emotions and energies that you are holding on to.
Breathing in joy.
Breathing out fear,
Breathing in love.
Breathing out resentment.
Breathing in acceptance.
Breathing out joy.
On your next out breath,
Just become aware of your body.
Becoming aware of your hands,
Becoming aware of your legs.
Becoming aware of your entire body.
And whenever you are ready,
Just open your eyes,
Bringing yourself back to this moment.
Completely refreshed and alive.
