Namaste beautiful people.
I'm Fabi for the episode and today we are going to talk about a very important topic an aspect of yoga that is Santosha.
Santosha is the second Niyama and we find Santosha in the Sutra 2.
42 and it means contentment.
Contentment is one of the most important aspects for our spiritual life because it gives us satisfaction,
Happiness and contentment.
When there is dissatisfaction,
It's very difficult to stay in the present and to calm our mind.
Patanjali defines Santosha as Santosha danuttama sukha labhaha and he says that happiness comes from the practice of contentment.
So we can be happy when we are happy and content with what we are,
What we have and start to appreciate the person that we are,
The person that we become appreciate the things that we have,
The people around us,
Our friends,
Our family,
Our work so it's really an invitation to start to observe around you and be grateful and happy for any single thing and it can include also the difficulties,
The challenges so sometimes we think that we need an easy life to be happy but we can find this contentment in every aspect and then we will be happy so it's also important to appreciate this moment of discomfort,
This moment of sadness that maybe helps us to find ourselves a little bit better so I really invite you to take some moment every day,
Maybe before to go to sleep or in the morning when you get up and observe everything that you have and start to be happy for anything that you have so it's very beautiful to be in this state of santosha because also this will lead us to a deeper state of meditation,
To a deeper state of awareness because we are aware of everything and we immerse ourselves in bliss in bliss,
In appreciation so for this week I just invite you to take every day a moment and write maybe 10 positive things about the day,
10 things that you are grateful for and you can do early morning and before to go to sleep if you want maybe one to two times or only one time a day but this practice also will bring you in the present moment and in the state of contentment sometimes we are so craving,
Craving,
Craving,
We want always more,
More,
More but when we stop and we observe what we have we realize that everything that we need is already there so that's why it's important to do this practice so let's chant again two times the sutra have a beautiful day or a beautiful night,
Wherever you are from my heart to yours,
Namaste
