The Velvet Dark
This meditation is an invitation to get creative in a space inside I call the velvet dark. We will traverse together into the deepest pieces of the puzzle of your mind and innermost being. I invite you Inward with me to reconnect with the wellspring within you. There is more instruction and so the length is longer, also, esoteric musings because have we met. You are loved, dear one, so much. May all beings be wild and free.

Hello,
Moonbeam.
It's freedom.
I'm so happy that you're here.
This practice together means a lot to me.
It means a lot to me because you're putting out a peace offering.
You're doing something on purpose to promote a peacefulness in your community and in your body,
In the global body of everything that you're doing.
Thank you for practicing with me.
Today I want to show you the Velvet Dark.
The Velvet Dark.
This is a special space inside the body.
This is a space of creativity,
Manifestation,
Abundance making.
This is where we make our peace offering when we're meditating.
It's a forgiving space.
It's an unconditionally honest space.
I would invite you to explore this with me,
Leaving any expectation or opinion outside of the Velvet Dark.
This will deepen your experience.
This will charge your battery of awareness.
You will be able to forfeit your fear because you desire liberation.
You'll be able to demonstrate your realness to the universe because you'll start to trust this Velvet Dark.
Trust lives in the heart.
Finding a seated position,
A seated position where you feel dignity in the spine.
You feel a sense of sovereignty so it's not uncomfortable.
If it's really uncomfortable and you're newer to practicing,
You might decide to lie down.
If you lie down,
You're deciding to stay awake.
Taking the eyes to closed.
Trusting the structure of your body so the bones will hold up your body.
The muscles can soften especially in the face.
With the eyes closed,
There's a sense of proprioception.
There's a sight without seeing.
Sensing the shoulders over your hip creases.
Turning the palms upwards on the knees.
The arms are heavy by the sides.
There's a clear channel in the center of the body for your breathing.
Feeling the chin level with the floor.
Finding a space where the chin feels level with the floor and then tucking just a little.
There's a flexion.
There's a curvature in the back of the neck.
Just releasing a little bit of the weight of the head from the shoulders.
This is your posture once you find a sense of trust in the bones of the body holding you up.
The eyes are closed.
Let me take a look on the inside.
This velvet dark.
This velvet dark space is special.
In this space,
There is no time.
You have no age.
You have no shape.
In this velvet dark,
There's just you.
The unpeeled you.
The unburdened.
The unhinged.
Anchored as an engine.
You are manifestation.
You are the universe made manifest in a human being.
You've taken shape in a sheath of skin.
You've developed opinions through your experiencing.
You've got attachments and preferences,
A persona,
All kinds of things.
And in this velvet dark space,
A clarity comes in.
Notice your respiration.
Notice if there's a holding pattern in your body.
If there's a certain space of the body that feels everything.
It's taking your attention maybe.
Right shoulder is sore,
Left knee is injured,
There's a feeling of tired or maybe there's hunger.
Notice all of these things and label them external.
Label them external.
Those are things that are outside of this velvet dark.
Let your awareness travel towards the heart.
Let your awareness travel towards the heart.
All of your focus on that space inside the left side chest.
The heart.
Imagining the heart was a chamber.
A chamber that you could enter.
Bringing all of your awareness to the door of the chamber of the heart.
Collecting your courageousness,
Start to open that door and enter that chamber inside the heart,
Inside the chest,
Inside that velvet darkness.
Noticing inside the space there's your favorite kind of seat.
Take this you and find that seat.
And in this room,
This chamber of this heart at the center,
You feel yourself as free.
You notice there's a sense of liberation.
There's a boundlessness,
Not having a shape or age or size.
In this space,
Sense the outline of your skin.
From this space inside the chamber,
Sense the outline of your skin.
Inside that velvet darkness,
Draw the attention to the region at the center of the head.
There's a space in the center of your head.
And the eyes in between the ears,
Above your throat,
At the center of your head inside this velvet darkness.
And in this space,
Ask the inside for an image of a diamond shape.
And in this space,
There's a diamond shape.
See this diamond shape.
As you set your focus on this diamond shape,
You notice that it starts to shake.
There's a shaking happening with this image,
Your diamond in the center of your head.
There's a rattling on the inside.
And as you take a closer look,
You see at the bottom of the diamond,
There's an opening.
And unfolding from this opening is a golden thread descending into the body.
This golden thread descends into the body through the throat,
Past the shoulders,
Down into the abdomen,
Down into the pelvis,
This golden thread,
All the way to the earth underneath you.
Descending into the earth underneath you,
Splitting and spreading this golden root system underneath the body,
All attached to this diamond inside the middle of your head.
This golden thread descending through the body,
All the way to the earth beneath you,
Outstretching into a profound root system.
See your root system descending through this dark earth,
Through this damp dirt.
Descending,
Descending,
Descending,
Until maybe you arrive at a wellspring.
Until maybe you arrive at a wellspring.
Feeling these tip tops of these golden threads,
This root system touching this wellspring,
They start drinking.
They start shifting into this wellspring and every time that you breathe in,
There's drinking happening.
This wellspring traveling up the root system,
Ascending all the way back through the earth into the body,
Into the abdomen,
Past the heart,
Through the throat,
And into this diamond shape.
Collecting the energy of the wellspring from deep underneath the body,
Deep inside this velvet dark.
Every breath in,
More drinking.
Every breath in,
More filling of this diamond shape inside the head.
An unending wellspring far beneath the body,
Far beneath the body,
Filling up your diamond shape.
This diamond shape is almost full.
You see it crusting.
Your diamond shape is filling,
Filling,
Filling.
Your diamond shape is full.
You feel this diamond full of water from this wellspring.
The next time that you breathe in,
Start to pull your golden root system from the wellspring,
Asking these cords to start rolling back towards the body.
Ascending up towards the body,
Reaching the earth point,
Coming up into the body,
Becoming again one single golden thread.
Rolling,
Rolling back towards that diamond shape,
Landing inside that diamond shape.
Feel your attention on your diamond.
As you exhale,
Your diamond descends.
Your diamond descends through the throat,
Into the chest,
And into the center of the heart.
Into the center of the chamber where you are.
You see this diamond shape get smaller and smaller until you can hold it in the palm of your hand.
Until you can hold it in the palm of your right hand.
Inside the chamber,
Inside the heart,
Inside that velvet dark.
This is the velvet dark.
The space where you can make manifest everything that you desire.
Harnessing the natural courageousness inside the heart.
You are already free.
Repeating internally,
I am already free.
I am already free.
I am already free.
Softening the awareness around the image.
Softening the awareness around the image.
Let the image start to fade.
Let the image start to fade.
Inviting your attention to the feeling in the body.
Inviting the attention to the feeling in the body.
Attention on the skin,
Gravity.
Noticing the sounds on the outside of you.
Keeping the eyes closed,
Remember the room around you.
And in this velvet darkness,
In this ageless,
Timeless,
Shapeless space,
Ask this inside space,
What do I desire?
What do I desire?
What do I desire?
Breathing longer breath in,
Longer breath out.
Small movements in the fingers.
You might start to lean the body forwards and backwards or side to side just a little.
Moving just a little.
Breathing the hands to the heart center,
Anjali mudra,
Prayer position.
Palms are touching.
There is a connection.
As you breathe in,
Your thumbs will rise towards your third eye,
Space between the brows.
In gratitude to you and your practice.
Sending magic.
A bow forward.
I offer,
Namaste.

Loved it! I find it important to maintain connection to the divine and the earth, as well as all life, to be able to embody the duality that is letting go of self and becoming my highest self. This helped with that!
