Welcome to this guided lucid dreaming session where you will learn how to use the mild technique in order to become lucid in your dreams.

Mild stands for mnemonic induction of lucid dreams.

This technique was developed by Dr.

Steven Leberg.

In this session,

I will guide you through the five fundamentals of the mild technique to lay the foundation for a successful lucid dreaming practice.

But before we dive in,

Please be sure you will not be disturbed for the duration of this session.

It is very important that your mind knows there are no distractions.

I will be guiding you into a deep state of relaxation so that you may absorb all of these tips and information successfully into your subconscious mind.

Now get nice and comfortable.

Allow your eyes to close.

Now focus on your breathing.

It should be deep and regular.

From way down to way up,

Take a few deep breaths,

Breathing in through the nose and out through your mouth.

Relax.

Now with each exhaling breath,

Breathe out any aches and pains and tension stored in your body.

With each inhaling breath,

Breathe in the peaceful energy that surrounds you.

Relax even more deeply.

Now visualize,

Imagine or feel all of your muscles completely relaxing.

Relax the muscles of your neck and shoulders.

A lot of tension is stored in these areas.

Relax your arms.

Relax your legs.

Relax your back muscles.

And allow the muscles of your stomach to relax completely.

So that your breathing stays nice and deep and even,

With each gentle breath you take,

Allow yourself to become more and more deeply relaxed.

Visualize or feel a bright light at the top of your head,

Inside your head.

Allow your mind to choose the color of this light.

Everything that this beautiful light touches,

As it later spreads down your body,

Every tissue and organ and muscle,

Every fiber and cell of your body will relax completely,

Releasing all aches and pains,

Releasing all illness and stress.

And the light will deepen and deepen the level of your relaxation.

You are already feeling deeply peaceful and tranquil and at ease.

Now visualize the light spreading down from the top of your head,

Down past your forehead and behind your eyes,

Relaxing you even more.

You can see or feel this light spreading into your jaw and down your scalp,

Deepening your state of relaxation.

Now the light is flowing into your neck,

Completely relaxing the muscles of your neck and the lining of your throat and you relax even more.

Visualize the light which relaxes and heals every muscle,

Nerve and cell of your body spreading down to your shoulders and down both arms,

All the way into your wrists,

Hands and fingers.

Imagine the light flowing into your upper back and chest and into your heart.

Your heart pumps the light through every blood vessel of your body into your lungs,

Glowing just beautifully.

The muscles of your upper back are completely relaxed and now light is spreading into your spinal cord from your head to the tip of your spine,

Flowing along your entire nervous system to reach every muscle and cell of your body.

And you are deeply calm,

Feeling deep tranquility,

A marvelous sense of peace.

Imagine the light spreading into your abdomen and lower back,

Completely relaxing those muscles and nerves.

And now see it flowing into your hips,

Into your legs,

All the way to your ankles,

Feet and toes.

Your entire body is filled and bathed with the wonderful bright,

Healing,

Tranquil light.

And you feel very,

Very peaceful.

Now visualize the light completely surrounding your body as if you were in a cocoon or halo of light.

The light protects you and relaxes your skin and your outer muscles.

And you feel even more peaceful,

Calm and relaxed.

In a moment,

I am going to count backwards from 5 to 1.

With each number,

You will feel more peaceful and calm and the level of your relaxed state will deepen and deepen until by the time I reach number 1,

You will be in a very deep state of relaxation.

5,

4,

Feeling more and more peaceful.

3,

Deeper and deeper.

2,

Nearly there now.

1,

Your mind is now very relaxed and open to receiving the helpful and beneficial tips and suggestions that I am about to give you.

And you are in complete control at all levels of your mind.

Now that you are deeply relaxed,

You will find that absorbing the information from this technique will come easily and effortlessly to you.

And once I have gone through the fundamentals of the mild technique,

I will leave you with affirmations and intentions for dream recall and for accomplishing a lucid dream.

As you fall asleep,

It will sink deeply into your subconscious mind.

And you may apply everything that I am about to say into your daily waking practice.

So let's begin.

The five fundamentals of the mild technique are dream recall,

Intentions,

Affirmations,

Reality checks,

And visualization.

Dream recall,

Remembering your dreams.

Everybody dreams.

You dream every night,

And so every single night you have the opportunity to remember your dreams and to become lucid.

The beauty of the mild technique is that it involves exercising your memory and intent.

In order to have a successful lucid dream,

You have to make sure that you remember your dreams.

Your capacity to remember dreams increases as you cultivate your ability to transfer them from the unconscious mind into the conscious mind successfully.

This entails writing down your dreams as soon as you've woken up from a sleeping cycle.

Jotting down a few of the keywords can sometimes be enough to recall the rest of the dream.

And what is it good for?

Well,

For one,

It will allow you to notice the recurring themes,

Dream signs,

And patterns within your nightly journeys,

As well as the recurring symbols that could have the potential to trigger lucidity.

You may use a journal,

A notebook,

Or your digital devices to record your dreams.

It is advisable,

Before you go to sleep,

To open your journal to a blank page with a pen next to it.

And place it next to your bed,

So write down your intention on one of the blank pages.

Take your time crafting the right intention.

Make it memorable.

You can keep it simple or get creative by drawing a meaningful symbol along with the intention.

Here is an example that you may use.

My dreams are important to me.

They are a vital part of my being,

And I now intend to remember all of my nightly journeys.

Keep your intention present in your mind and written in your journal as you drift off into sleep.

As the weeks go by,

You will notice that your intention will become second nature to you.

Affirmations.

You can also reinforce your intention with affirmations or mantras.

An affirmation is the declaration of your future goal stated in the present tense as if you have already achieved that goal.

It is summoning the completed outcome.

For example,

I am now lucid dreaming.

I successfully remember my dreams.

And don't forget toward the end of this lesson,

You will be able to relax and let the affirmations sink into your mind so that you can begin your journey into sleep and toward lucidity.

You can practice saying these affirmations in your waking life to enhance your abilities to lucid dream.

Reality checks.

A reality check is when you test your reality by asking yourself if you're dreaming and then performing a test to see if you are sleeping or awake.

Some people like to put their finger in their palm.

If the finger goes through the palm,

Then they will know they are dreaming.

Other reality check methods include plugging your nose with your fingers to see if you can breathe.

You may also look at your watch or set an alarm or an app alarm from your mobile phone to remind you to stop and do a reality check.

This can be done several times a day.

Throughout the day,

When your alarm sounds,

You will look around and ask yourself,

Am I dreaming?

You can do this upon waking or before going to bed as well.

The most effective way is to pick something that you would consider a familiar and recurring part of your routine.

In that way,

You train your memory to become more alert by remembering to perform the reality checks.

And even though you will begin with one simple reality check,

After a few days,

You can get more creative and assign several reality checks of different things throughout your day.

And each day,

You can switch it up.

In this way,

You will grow and expand your memory muscles.

Visualization Using your imagination is as simple as day dreaming and now that you have a strong intention in mind,

You can create anything you put your mind to.

Throughout the day or before you sleep,

Imagine yourself in the dream.

What is the lucid dream going to be like?

Do you want to fly?

If so,

Imagine taking off from the ground and soaring high up in the sky over the beautiful hills and valleys,

Feeling the wind through your hair against your skin.

You're letting go and surrendering to the flow.

How do you feel?

What do you see?

The more you engage all of your senses,

The stronger the imprint to your subconscious mind.

Practice feeling becoming lucid the moment that you become lucid.

Imagine a dream you've had where you didn't become lucid and then recreate it so that at some point you see an interesting dream sign,

Recognize it,

And think to yourself,

I am lucid dreaming.

Practice what you think becoming lucid feels like in a dream.

Are you excited?

Try to relax and ground.

Look around your dream and do whatever it is you want.

This is your playtime.

This is your daydream.

And all of these fundamentals will help you build a solid foundation for a successful lucid dreaming practice.

And now you can lay back and relax and sink into your comfortable bed or chair and allow these affirmations,

Intentions,

And suggestions to sink deeply into your subconscious mind.

For approximately 3 months I have been doing the steps detailed in the books β€œLucid Dreaming” and β€œA Field Guide to Lucid Dreaming” to have the experience of having a lucid dream with no success. Today for the first time I stayed lucid in my dream for as long as I wanted. IT WAS AMAZING. In the dream I did whatever I wanted to do. Kind of being a boy in a candy /ice cream/ toy store with permisos to do ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING OR ANYTHING. The only different thing that I did today (or tonight) to experience a lucid dream in full was that I used this app. Thank you. At some point I felt that I was there for hours and it occurred to me that I did not read any instructions on how to get out of a lucid dream in thought β€œOh my God what if I had been dreaming for days!” They will find my dead body in my bed! But making calculations I might have been sleeping/dreaming for about less than one hour. IT WAS AMAZING! I look forward using this app again and continue my β€œdaily regimen” to reach the ability to have more lucid dreams. I did so much but kind of out of joy and not with a clear intention. Oh watta hell. My intenciΓ³n was reached by experiencing being lucid in a dream. βœ¨πŸŒ€πŸ§žβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€©πŸ™πŸ‘»πŸ€‘πŸ‘πŸ‘„πŸ§ πŸ‘©πŸΏβ€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨β€πŸ’ΌπŸ§–β€β™€οΈπŸ‘¨β€β€οΈβ€πŸ‘¨πŸ’«πŸ’¦πŸ‘πŸŠπŸ΅πŸš€πŸ•ŒπŸŒ‡β™‹οΈSumatra Brooklyn
