This is a practice about observing and finding what feels good.
We talk too often about pain and life struggles and those moments we really have to fight through.
And while nothing's wrong with observing and working through these problems or issues,
It's important to take time to show a little love towards things that we can appreciate in life.
So in this moment take a deep breath in through your nose and let it go out of your mouth.
I invite you to close your eyes or maybe take a soft gaze out in front of you if that feels okay.
How do you feel in this moment?
Observe your body here in this place.
What structure is supporting you?
Just notice if you can relax a little bit more in those spaces.
Notice the temperature of the air against your skin and the weight of your clothing draping over you.
Observe the breath moving in and out of the lungs.
Finding expansion and release.
Filling up and letting go.
Soften.
How can you find ease in this moment?
Maybe this is a good time to acknowledge and observe what brings you ease.
What brings you joy?
Take a moment to observe what shows up when you ask yourself the simple question,
What brings you ease?
Perhaps the solitude,
Thunderstorms in the summertime,
The soothing sound of the raindrops making its light impact against the window seal.
The calm that eludes in the moment of stillness.
Or maybe it's being surrounded by friends and loved ones in a room filled with laughter where cell phones are forgotten and everyone is living in the moment.
Or possibly it's one-on-one connection with a partner or with a friend.
Low walks,
Quality time,
Coffee or tea in hand with the deep meaningful conversation.
What brings you joy?
Maybe it's indulging in a new activity like learning how to paint with watercolors or trying a new recipe.
Maybe it's turning on your favorite movie or show and spending an evening winding down on the couch.
Or perhaps rolling out your yoga mat for a feel-good flow to release all of the tension in your body.
What brings you joy?
What brings you ease?
What feels good?
Take a moment to observe what shows up when you ask yourself these simple questions.
Be very specific in this moment,
Observing every detail,
Sensation,
Feeling.
And I invite you to repeat these affirmations after me if it feels okay.
I am worthy of happiness.
I give myself permission to experience joy.
I am open to the endless possibilities of finding what feels good for my soul.
I am worthy of happiness.
I give myself permission to experience joy.
I am open to the endless possibilities of finding what feels good for my soul.
And slowly begin to bring awareness back into this present moment.
Noticing the breath,
Noticing the body,
And holding on to this feeling of what feels good.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and release it out of the mouth.
And when you're ready,
Slowly flutter your eyes open and continue on with your day.
