I am healing.
Allow yourself to settle into a comfortable space.
As you close your eyes,
Acknowledge yourself in this very moment.
Observe the breath as it moves gently in through the nose,
Down the throat,
And into the lungs.
Feel its complete release before inviting fresh,
New breath in once again.
Take a brief moment to scan your body for any areas that are tight or with tension.
Notice any places that you're clenching,
Tightening,
Resisting,
And just soften within that space.
Take time here to express gratitude towards the parts of you that are thriving.
You have breath.
You are breathing.
You have life.
You are living.
You have a heart.
You are healing.
As you return to your breath here,
Notice if you can begin to inhale into your belly for a count of one and into your chest for a count of two.
And as you exhale,
Empty the air completely for a count of four,
Three,
Two,
And one.
Inhale belly lifts one,
Chest lifts two.
Release it all out,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale one,
Two.
Exhale four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And just staying with this breath of expansion and release,
Filling up with every inhale and notice the complete exhale.
As you stay with this expanding and releasing breath,
Notice if with each inhale you feel a spark ignite within you.
And with every exhale,
You settle within that flame.
Now place your right hand at the center of your chest and place your left hand on top of it.
Feel the breath moving.
Feel the heartbeat.
You have breath.
You are breathing.
You have life.
You are living.
You have a heart.
You are healing.
Healing is not linear.
It takes time.
Trauma can manifest in both an emotional and physical form.
There will be triggers that seem as if they push you back to where you first began,
But we must learn to trust the process.
Know that everything is working together for your good.
How can you use this pain?
How can you transform it into something better,
Something good?
Can you allow yourself to feel,
Acknowledge it,
But not make it your story?
You are so much more.
Gently allow these affirmations to wash over you.
Perhaps even repeat them in your mind and allow them to settle within your being.
I give myself permission to heal.
I am able to feel what I am going through without guilt or shame.
I am willing to see things differently.
I know that everything I am going through is making me a stronger,
Wiser,
And more compassionate person.
I acknowledge my unresolved feelings with patience and self-reflection.
I am capable of learning how to trust again.
I will move through life again freely.
I set myself and others free by choosing to forgive.
I treat the people in my life with compassion and understanding.
I will get over this mountain as I have so many times before.
I release the past and trust that everything is happening for my greatest good.
I am ready to forgive anyone I feel has hurt me.
I am able to forgive myself and others.
I feel the sun shining its light on my face.
I always choose love.
I am healing.
As you allow those affirmations to settle within your being,
Remember you have breath,
You are breathing,
You have life,
You are living,
You have a heart,
You are healing.
Bring your awareness back into this moment,
Back into your body,
Back into the room,
Back into this space.
Begin to find small movement,
Wiggling fingers and toes,
Rocking the head side to side,
Rotating wrists and ankles.
And when you are ready,
Slowly blinking the eyes open and continuing on with your day from this space that I am healing.
