Hi and welcome to this meditation.
I am your guide Saqib and I will guide you in your journey from the external world to the internal universe.
Let me first brief you on the purpose of doing this meditation.
Since our childhood,
Our awareness has been focused on the external world out there for the major part of our waking lives.
Our parents,
Teachers and the society taught us to learn about the external world which includes our cultures,
Our nation,
Other nations,
The landscapes,
The world,
Fluorine fauna,
The cosmos,
Etc.
Rarely we are told to know ourselves.
Who am I without all the labels the society has given me,
Like my name,
My family association,
My association with the community,
My degrees,
My work profile,
Etc.
What is this thing that I call I,
Me or myself?
Where is the seat of my consciousness?
What is there in my subconscious mind?
What are the hidden emotions inside me?
What are my hidden strengths?
What is the purpose of my life?
These and many many other questions about ourselves are still unanswered.
Understanding ourselves is the key to living a life full of happiness,
Meaning,
Purpose and peace.
So for this meditation,
Let's shift our awareness from the external world to our internal universe.
I would now request you to sit in a comfortable position with your back straight.
Wherever you are sitting,
Be it your room or out in the open,
Find the farthest point which you can see from your position directly in the line of your sight.
You don't need to move your head.
This point can be a point in the sky or a point on a wall,
Etc.
Move this point for a few seconds.
Now gradually move your awareness from that farthest point to your nose.
Do this gradually.
And remember that your awareness is in your control and that you can take it anywhere.
And now gradually close your eyes.
Your eyes are closed but your awareness is now on your body.
Feel the presence of your body in your surroundings,
The weight of your body on the chair or the floor,
The smell in the air,
The air on your skin and listen to the sounds around you.
Bring your attention to your breathing now.
Your breath is the gateway between the external and the internal worlds.
It is which travels from the outer world to the inner world and then comes back to the outer world.
Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
And as you do that,
Make your awareness follow the breath in through the nose,
Through your windpipe and into your lungs.
Really follow the breath while you exhale.
Take at least three more complete breaths.
Let's go even deeper now inside our conscious mind.
See if there are any thoughts in your mind right now.
These thoughts are separate from your awareness.
As you can observe them.
Imagine these thoughts as bubbles rising in front of you with each thought representing one bubble.
In your imagination,
Burst or pop these bubbles of thoughts one by one with a slight touch of your finger.
Now that you have removed all your thoughts,
Bring back your attention to your breathing.
Now gradually move your fingers,
Wiggle your toes and feel the presence of your body and your surroundings.
As you come out of this meditation,
Gradually open your eyes.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this meditation.
I hope you found value in it.
Take care and have a wonderful day!
