I would like to empower you to stay with what it is you really want rather than falling into the old habits of the past. I know that this takes a commitment. It takes work and, in my experience, it's worth it!By turning our attention towards the breath, we make the choice to rest our attention in this present moment rather than allowing the mind to go into the past or future. This simple act of stabilizing the mind with the breath creates new pathways in our brains which support us in being able to put our attention on what it is we really want regardless of what appears.

Welcome,

This is Padma Gordon and I want to invite you into meditation that will assist you with staying with what it is you really want rather than falling into the old habits of the past which generally are based in our fears and our struggles and our inner critic.

So I'd like you,

If you're willing,

To set aside everything you're doing and with this meditation as well as all of the hypnotic processes that I'm offering,

Please be resting with eyes closed and not in your car.

So just beginning,

Beginning by closing your eyes and taking some really gentle full breaths It's really taking the time to turn your attention toward your breath.

Because even when the mind wants to go into the past or into the future,

You can make the choice to rest your attention in the present moment,

In this present moment.

And the breath is happening in this moment.

So just being kind and firm with yourself and really stabilizing your mind in the breath.

That's right,

Stabilizing your mind in your awareness of the breath.

And as you do this,

You're creating the pathways,

New neural networks that support you in being able to put your attention on what it is you really want and where you put your attention is where you put your energy.

So in fact,

Where you put your attention is significant.

And right now,

Just putting your attention on your breath.

Nothing fancy,

No particular breathing techniques,

Just the breath that rises and falls.

And you might notice that your whole body is beginning to relax and soften and that the mind follows suit and begins to settle,

Becoming quiet.

Because as you relax,

Your body,

Your mind naturally becomes more and more still.

Returning to the breath,

Returning to this breath,

Feeling how perhaps the body becomes heavy and you can feel the weight of your bones.

And it can feel so good and even though it might not seem like you're doing anything,

Like you're really doing anything at all,

You are training your mind so that you are able to put your attention and your energy where you want it to go.

And as you cultivate this skill,

You're opening the doorway to freedom.

Because then regardless of what appears,

You can put your attention and your energy where you want it to go.

And you are invited to listen to this hypnotic process every day,

Once,

Twice,

As many times as you like.

Because the more you practice,

The easier it gets and it can feel so good to develop this level of mastery over your own mind.

And at the same time,

Relax,

Release and let go.

And each time you listen to this process,

You're becoming free,

Freer and freer.

And so it is,

So it is,

So it is.

A gentle, soothing approach with a feeling of loving acceptance mixed with encouragement. Great for us middle of the night can’t sleep folks, I will return to this.
