We think this is going to stay forever.
It is concrete,
It is fixed,
It is permanent.
One of the meditation called as Supreme is the meditation on impermanence.
Because it is about seeing things,
Situations,
People and everything in their true form.
The true form is of changing,
Of being short lived,
Of being impermanent.
Let's analyse this today if this is true or not.
Take a comfortable meditation posture.
Let your back be straight and your eyes are gently closed.
Do a quick body scan starting from the top.
Scan your head,
Your face and relax each and every part as you move through.
Gently scan the front body starting from your neck,
The sensations around your chest and the movement of your abdomen.
Now relax the back portion of your body from your shoulders,
Spine and relax your thighs.
Go all the way down to your legs and feel the sensation in your thighs,
Your knees and your feet.
Breathe into each and every organ of yours and completely relax your body.
Because this is my body,
This is me.
I am permanent and I am concrete.
That's what we think right?
I want you to imagine your face but not your current face,
The face when you were a child.
How was it?
Soft,
Hairless,
Probably without any tan?
And see how your face has changed over the years.
How was your face when you were a young student?
A little more tanned,
A little more rough.
Maybe after that you started a beard,
Changed your hair or started wearing spectacles.
Go through all the phases of your face.
And imagine your face now,
See it clearly.
Maybe a little more wrinkles and freckles.
And probably have you changed your hair again?
Think about it.
Are you really the same?
No,
You have changed so much.
Now think about a situation like your first job,
Your first relationship or your first child.
How was the experience when you started?
And see how immensely it has changed.
Maybe you have changed your jobs completely,
Totally changed your career.
How your relationship has altered so much?
Your child is now mature and probably an adult.
Feel the changes in any of these situations.
I want you to go a little deeper now and feel the smallest of changes in the world.
Think about a pile of books on a wooden shelf.
We think it never changes,
It is so concrete.
But are we seeing the true picture?
There are millions of electrons and protons inside the book.
The constant flux of their movement and change inside the page of a book.
The book is changing every minute,
Every second.
That wooden shelf is changing every minute.
The clock on your wall shows time is changing every second,
Every millisecond.
Take your time,
See the change happening every second in yourself and in situations and things around you.
It's important to embrace this in our lives.
We get too disturbed by our current situation or we get too egoistic by our current success.
But always remember that this situation,
This person is not concrete.
These will change as well as everything in the world.
Is there any situation today which is disturbing you currently?
Anything which is creating a cause for anxiety or stress?
Can you apply the same analysis to this situation?
Can you see that this situation will change as well?
This is not as big as we think.
This is not permanent.
This is not concrete.
It is not fixed.
It has come and it will go as well.
It doesn't make sense to really stress over this as things will change and this will go as well.
Having firmed up in your analysis,
Try to breathe out this anxiety,
This disturbance of yours.
With every exhale that you do,
Push out this anxiety from your body,
From your system.
You know it is going to go away.
You know everything in the world changes.
So push this tension out.
Push this anxiety out.
Live every moment of your life fully without fretting about things because they are going to change for sure.
The best way forward will be to give in your best and live every moment mindfully and fully.
Thank you so much for meditating with us and have a lovely day ahead.
